Why is Docs to go allowed to be sold as being able to function on IPAD3. The columns were blleding into the next column header and could not be accessed. Going into one cell gave me the forumula 4 cells down. Absolute rubbish. Moved to Quick Office PRO HD
I purchased Docs to GO Premium as it was suppose to work on IPAD 3. On loading a spreadsheet the columns under the header columns (ABC etc) started to blled into the next column. It does not work on IPad 3.
I swithced to Quick Office Pro HD. Absolutely fantastic App. I would love to get my money back for Docs to Go Prem (Rubbish)

Hi all,
I have created a content source in Search service application for a particular site collection "http://spwebapp/sites".
I performed reset crawl index of Search service application and then performed a full crawl.
But i get errors on running crawl on this content source for most of the files. The error is "The server is unavailable and could not be accessed. The server is probably disconnected from the network." Though the site is accessible.
But before performing reset index the crawl was working fine on this content source. Crawl is working fine for other site collections. Only one site collection is facing this problem. Please let me know if what I can do to resolve this error.
Thanks in advance.Are you seeing any error messages in the URL related to the Gatherer? And in your content source, are there any site URLs that are no longer active or do you have any crawl rules set up that might be affecting access to the site collection?
I've seen this happen for a variety of reason, SSL issues, proxy issues, permissions issues. The Eventvwr and ULS logs should help you narrow down the real problem.
Sometimes this is an issue because the indexer and the site are sitting on the same box, you could try doing a disable loopback check to see if that resolves the issue and if it does then go through the hassle of setting up a specific LSA :

Hello,
Our SharePoint Search stopped working on the weekend, and I still could not figure out the problem. I checked Event Viewer, and ULS Logs, they are all pointing to network issue. However, I can ping the web servers from application servers.
It does not navigate to SharePoint site though. I'm not sure what would be the problem. I read that it could be Kerberos, but it was working without any problems for a long time.
Can anyone help me please?

I provide you three method for you, maybe you can try it.
Method 1 (recommended): Create the Local Security Authority host names that can be referenced in an NTLM authentication request.
To do this, follow these steps for all the nodes on the client computer:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click
OK.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\MSV1_0
Right-click MSV1_0, point to New, and then click
Multi-String Value.
In the Name column, type BackConnectionHostNames, and then press ENTER.
Right-click BackConnectionHostNames, and then click
Modify.
In the Value data box, type the CNAME or the DNS alias, that is used for the local shares on the computer, and then click

Exit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.
Note Type each host name on a separate line.

How can I select rows of cells and merge them vertically into one cell in each column?
I'm working in CS4 and need to be able to select 2 to 6 rows of cells (with many columns) in a table and then merge the selected cells vertically into one cell in each column. A few cells in the chart will not need to merge so I must select the ones that do. I have almost 100 pages of charts with cells that need merged this way by Tuesday. Please help!

I set up Keychain and do not have access to the telephone I gave. Now I can no longer connect my ipad to my windows computer, itunes does not automatically open when I plug in the USB. I can not turn off Keychain in my ipad since authorization is pending awaiting the code sent by SMS, which I can not get. Can someone advise how to get rid of Keychain. Should I cancel my icloud account?

Have reset the ipad, but that changed nothing. I can not turn off Keychain, iit remains "pending approval". Probably, the only thing to do is to close my icloud account...which I hate to do since there is a lot of data saved there. But, I am unable to back the ipad up on my Windows 8 computer because itunes no longer opens when the ipad is attached.
Oh well...computers are computers and it is impossible to cover 100% of the situations.
Keychain iss not the best app for someone who lives in 3 different countries.

Hi, I have backed up 2 IMACs and one Mac Book Pro but for some reason, the 3rd IMAC come up with this problem: The backup disk image “/Volumes/Data/Anthony’s iMac.sparsebundle” could not be accessed (error -1). Why? The computer system is up to date and I have had no issue with the other computers, just this one.

When I try to delete page(s) from a PDF document I created, I geth the following message: "One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted." Any suggestions?
I sent an email to TerraGo Support and they sent the following response: "This has bug has been discovered and our development team is quickly creating a patch to resolve the problem. The patch should be available within a week or two. For your reference, the bug number assigned to this case is: 3620. Check back in about two weeks and hopefully the patch will be available. I recently had to get a new computer.It required me going from windows xp to 7 I am trying to put it one the new computer but I get following message Windows installer could not be accessed could be in safe mode.How do I get around it? need it to charge my ipod on my computer.
I have used PCs for years, and still do at work. But, last year my wife bought me a 15" MBP with the anti-glare screen (I was getting ready to buy for myself). It took me all of 1 week to completely get used to the UI for OS-X, and now I really prefer it over the Win7 UI. I have no experience with Win8. Here are my thoughts:
1) You can get a good computer using either a Win8 machine or a Mac.
2) You will pay less for an equivalent PC. But not as much less as some would have you believe. You need to take into account the all aluminum body of the Mac (vs most PCs being plastic) and the size of the display. And, don't forget that there is a lot of bundled SW on the Mac that you will actually find useful and would have to purchase for the PC.
3) You can probably do everything you need on the PC platform with the right SW (you probably already know this since you are using one already).
That said, I think some things are easier on the Mac. For example, GarageBand is a standard part of the Mac SW installation. I got up and running recording directly from my bass into a track with a song imported from iTunes on another track in a snap. I only had to purchase a Jam adapter ($99) for the bass so I could come in over USB instead of using the audio in port (which did work, by the way). You can do the same on a PC, but you have to purchase the SW from somewhere. And, it probably isn't cheap.
I use VMware Fusion to run those Win programs I already owned because it was much less expensive to buy Fusion than to replace them.
I would not return to a PC for my own use, given a choice. But, I would be very careful about getting my wife a Mac without careful thought as she is not as tolerant of learning new things as I am.

I keep getting the message, "the file is damaged and could not be repaired"
I have a newer Gateway PC equipped with Windows Vista Ultimate, and recently downloaded the free Adobe Reader 8.1.1 version to it.
I'm not very computer literate, so I'm not sure which terminology to use all the time...sorry.
When I attempt to open (view, read, download?) a pdf file, it starts the download process, showing the progress at the bottom of the page....for example, it might say, "downloading (16.2kb out of 543.5kb)"
Usually, about a minute or so into the download, the word "downloading" changes to "downloaded", the action stops, and shortly after (on the window with the gray Adobe Reader background), a smaller message window pops up, declaring, "the file is damaged and could not be repaired".
A friend suggested that there was probably a problem with the original downloading of Reader and recommended that I completely remove it from my system, then re-install it. Reluctantly, with a very slow dial-up connection network, I did as he suggested, then painfully sat through about a two-hour download AGAIN of Reader 8.1.1
After the download was completed again, I successfully opened a few of the pdf files which I was previously having the problems with. Problem solved??? NOT QUITE!!! After about three or four successful file downloads (openings/readings of the files), it again started to do the same thing, where it would not complete the downloading/opening process and again leaving the message, "the file is damaged and could not be repaired."
I am very confident that the files are not the problem, as many of my friends have viewed/opened those same pdf files repeatedly with no issues, BUT WHAT IS CAUSING THIS??? As I said before, I'm not very computer savvy as it is, and adding the newer Windows Vista Ultimate OS probably hasn't helped any.
1. Is the problem with Windows Vista?
2. Is the problem with Adobe Reader 8.1.1 (or the downloading of it)?
3. Is the problem related to the security settings of my computer?
4. Is the problem likely virus related (I use the purchased McAfee protection)?
I just don't know where or how to start looking for the solution, other than thru this forum, and I simply can't afford the time to remove and re-install Adobe Reader 8.1.1 each time I need the use of my computer.

I have the situation where we are exporting PDF files from reporting services in our website.
When dividing the data into sections, the report exports perfectly, but when exporting the entire set and trying to open the file, we get the following error in Adobe Reader:
"There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired"
We tried to repair the file, no luck. We tried to use different PDF readers, no luck
We then checked the file sizes. When exporting the subsections, each section exports a file of about 2mb.
When exporting the entire set, the file is about 1.3mb.
Adding all the sections together gives me a rough estimate of 40mb.
Exporting to TIFF works beautifully and returns a file of 41.5mb. Word and Excel formats also work well, only issue there is the page numbering and formatting.
The problem we have is the clients are adamant about having it in PDF format.
Any advice please?This was one of the temporary suggestions I gave the client...
Unfortunately they do not like this as the page numbering and formatting in Word does not appear right. We are talking about over 1300 pages. I can't expect them to change the formatting with each export. Additionally, the data is
constantly changing and each client has their own data. The clients export the reports randomly. I therefore can't post the reports back onto the server.

Im creating PDFs through InDesign and using Acrobat Pro 9 to add fields. I save them to allow ADobe Reader people to use them. Everything works fine on Pro and Reader on my end with a PC as well as someone elses PC. But one person using Mac said some forms work and some dont. Those that dont get the error "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired." Ive resaved them and made sure they work and same problem. There is nothing overly coplex about the PDFs either, a date field at the most. They are using Reader 9.1.
I found out the other day that one person who can open them adds info to them saves them and send over to that other person and cannot open any of them after they have been edited, same error. He even tried on a PC and still gets it.
I dont know what to do. I know it has to be on his end and not mine. What else can I suggest to him??It sounds like they are using an earlier version of Acrobat or Reader, though you said Reader 9.1. If you add some features in AA9 that are new, it appears that earlier versions see the new features as damaged files. At least that is my guess. Try using Reduce File Size or PDF Optimize to save to an earlier version and see if that helps. The other option is that you are getting them messed up in e-mail because many client look at PDF files as ascii and do not encrypt them. In that case force the encryption. You can also send them in ZIP form.

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me. I have an invoicing program that allows me to send an invoice as a PDF to a customer in an email. It always worked fine but for some reason anyone that gets the PDF email attachment gets the message " There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired". I don't know why this is suddenly happening. I downloaded the latest Adobe Reader 10.1 and that didn't help. I also downloaded the trial version of Adobe Acrobat X and that doesn't help either. I can open all PDFs on my drive but for some reason my program seems to have a problem converting or writing the invoice file to a PDF. Anybody able to help? Thank you very much!

Thanks for your response, I'll try and answer your questions as best a possible. I am not printing to anything, just emailing and I'm not sure what you mean by "the adobe PDF printer". I originally could not find for sure what acrobat I was using although there is a file in my C drive with acrobat 5.0. When I tried downloading an update I found for that version, it told me it couldnt download the update because the original is not there. I then downloaded the new trial version of acrobat X in the hopes that may work, but it did not change the issue. I believe my invoicing program uses some internal PDF program inbeded in the invoicing program for the emailing option it provides. I did send the email to myself and it is the same as I send to anyone else, it has that error message. The others in my office can open the invoicing program and email the PDF perfectly fine to themselves and to me, it's only when my computer tries to send the invoice through email that we have the problem. I can view the file (invoice) perfectly fine. I do not not how to check this encoding you are referring to. Do these details help you, to help me?? Thank you again for your help.
