Why is firefox having so much trouble finding servers?

The problem of Firefox not being able to find the server requested is becoming more and more frequent. Every time it happens, I have to reload at least once, sometimes twice, before the server is found (as it almost always is). I have never had this problem in previous versions of Firefox. I have done the various fixes and made sure Kaspersky knows that Firefox is one of the good guys, but to no avail. Can someone PLEASE come up with a fix for this? The only thing worse than a malfunctioning Firefox is a perfect IE or Chrome.

Firefox may be updating the phishing protection database or do maintenance with other files like places.sqlite. It should stop at some point if that has been done.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem.

I have installed and updated Flash Player since 1999, but never with so much trouble as with the latest version- 17.
My pc runs Windows 7 64-bit with Internet Explorer 11. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps listed on the Adobe website with no luck.
I am logged in as administrator, but when I go to a website the permission message pops up at the bottom of the page, as normal after updating,
"This webpage wants to run the following add-on; ' Adobe Flash Player' from Adobe Systems Incorporated'.
Whether I click on Allow or click on the dropdown and click on Allow for all websites, does not matter. It will not work and the permission bar stays up.
Can somebody please help??

Why am I having so much trouble downloading ios 5?

I can not download the ios 5 update to my Mom's iphone 3gs. I have tried from itunes. I have tried direct download. I have downloaded and used the internet download manager. I am still having difficulty in getting the update to download. It seems to get so far and stops. I can not figure out what to do next. I did mine without any problems, but I am having so much trouble with hers. I hope someone can help me. I appreciate the help in this matter.

Why does Firefox have a constant problem finding servers?

Firefox is constantly unable to find servers, even after succesfully loading a web page. When I hit reload it scampers off and finds the server immediately (most of the time -- occasionally I have to punch it twice), but if I leave the tab open, sure as death and taxes, the message will reappear after a while. It doesn't matter what website I am on. Also, I have recently lost the ability to right click on a blank spot on a page and select "reload every ____", where I could select from a variety of time intervals for the page to reload automatically. Before this feature quit, when I had it enabled there seemed to be fewer "can't find server" episodes, but perhaps it was just that the reload would hit every once in a while and the server would miraculously appear.
I would dearly love to fix this. It has not happened in previous versions of Firefox. (I assume I have the latest version, because it updates automatically.) I don't like IE and Chrome is so cheerfully nosy that I rarely use it.
I have talked to others who have had this problem to the extent that they don’t use Firefox anymore. I have used it practically since the begats and I don’t want to jump ship. Please help.

Note that Firefox uses the "chrome://" protocol to access its own internal files and also access files from extensions, so that has nothing to do with Google Chrome.

I have not had so much trouble updating Flash Player for Internet Explorer since I began in 1998. The plug-in for Google Chrome installed fine.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling 4 times with no luck. The usual pop-up comes up when I open IE asking? 'This webpage wants to run the following add-on; 'Adobe Flash Player' from Adobe Systems Incorporated'.
I downloaded from the adobe.com website.
Can someone please help?

I found this guidance over on the Windows forums. It seems promising for your scenario:
Make sure that the necessary add-ons are enabled in Internet Explorer. To do this, follow these steps:
a. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
b. Click the Programs tab, and then click Manage add-ons.
c. In the Currently loaded add-ons list, click Run without Permissions.
d. Look for the following add-ons in the list that's displayed. If any of these add-ons are listed, make sure the Status for each is listed as Enabled.
o Shockwave Active X Control
o Shockwave Flash Object
o Java Plug-in (may be multiple add-ons)
o QuickTime Plug-in (may be multiple add-ons)
o Windows Media Player

I set up everything I'm supposed to and all I get in no signal on my tv after I changed my input to HDMI 2 and plugged my apple box in? Why am I having so much trouble, anyone?

I set up my HDMI cable to my compatible tv, plugged it into my apple box, plugged the apple box to a power source then, then took my tv input changed it to the proper HDMI input and I get nothing but "no signal". The light on the box flashes when I first plug it in, then it stays on, why am I not getting a picture so I can configure and set up my apple box to stream netflix or YouTube ? What else could I possibly try? I've tried everything, switching everything out, making sure things are all the way in, why can't I get this box to work?

There may well be three possibilities here. The first is that the Apple TV is defective, I don't think many are, so this may be on likely.
The second is that you are simply making some mistake when selecting the HDMI channel on your TV. The third may be that your TV does not accept the default output from the Apple TV, in which case you might want to try the following.
Press and hold the menu and the up button simultaneously on the remote for six seconds, the Apple TV should then begin to cycle through the various resolutions available to it. If you see a picture appear up on your screen, use the remote to scroll down to the OK option and select it.

Why am I having so much trouble staying connected to my wireless broadband?

Hi. We have our broadband connected to a router. My husband, who has an HP laptop, never has any connectivity issues. I have a macbook, not sure what generation it is. I am constantly lossing connection to the router. Sometimes the network is still listed in the bar on top, but I cannot connect to it. If I click on it, it asks for my Admin. password to "change" networks but will not connect. I can't even use my airport utlility to mess with it since the scan shows no wireless devices! Usually if I reboot the computer, it will start up connected again, but may not stay that way. It ***** when trying to download my fav. TV show for later playback. And of course anything else connected to the internet.
I hope someone can help me.
Oh yes, I bought this laptop used. Have never had any other problems with it now for 3+ years.

I just found out that the MacBook I have is a 13 inch 2008 model, if that helps. I have also applied the Broadband Optimizer utility I downloaded from Apple's site and that seems to have helped some, but the problem is still happening.

1) cannot save multible tabs in bookmarks
2) 4.0 is not faster, perhaps even slower
3) crashes often, especially when I scroll through my emails in Yahoo email.
4) Moved the "stop loading" and "refresh" buttons to the right, ala MS Internet Explorer. I liked your old location better.

Why is Firefox writing so much data all the time?

I am running Windows 7 x64 and Firefox 8. In my Task Manager I display the I/O Write Bytes of all processes. I have found that Firefox is ALWAYS the Process with the largest amount of write bytes after it has been running an hour or so even though there are dozens of other processes there. The only Web page is Google and all of my plugins are disabled.

I should keep it simple - if you start getting involved with mixers and multiple microphones you will find the cost escalating alarmingly. If you can get yourself a decent microphone and spend some time doing tests to find the best way of balancing the voices you should be able to get acceptable results. You can't plug an ordinary microphone directly into a Mac - you would need a mixer or a preamplifier - so it's probably worth looking at USB mics. I don't know what cost range is available, and you would have to check that they would work with your Mac. Otherwise you will need an ordinary moving-coil mic and probably a USB audio converter which can accept a microphone - look at the Roland site.

Basic troubelshooting steps have not changed in iOS 7. Restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.
