Why is Firefox involved in taking sides with Google Earth's dumping of the website Climate Viewer News?

I like researching and I have sites that credible although the gov't may not like the data these sites collect for public awareness. Climate Viewer News relies on Google Earth and now this site can no longer do the work they've always done in getting the truth out there to the public... And Google Earth is bought and paid for and controlled by Gov't agencies in preventing those sites who value the citizens constitutional right to know what our leaders and others in power are doing to not only humans, but to this planet and more. I thought Mozilla Firefox's goal was to provide internet browsing privace and security to the public without interference from those control freaks who have the money and power to control it all. Where's the freedom? What about integrity and ethics? By submitting an opinion that is against Firefox leaves me wide open for attack...But I have always supported Firefox and the other programs from Mozilla and now this at CV News website "....“Mozilla is not interested in or working on Pepper at this time.” May 2011..." It saddens me greatly to see the good guys being bought and paid for. We do not discuss development issues of decisions on this forum. It is for support of Firefox endusers, and mainly answers are from fellow Firefox users. Mozilla developers do not (or only <s>unyieldingly</s>!! ''exceedingly'' rarely) post here.
Of course we are not trying to be obstructive so links to where this is discussed,or to relevant information is ok.

* FlashPlayer Let's for starters point out that FlashPlayer is proprietary closed source software, and Adobe's FlashPlayer does not even support all the Operating Systems Firefox does. For instance newer versions of Android are not supported, and Linux is only getting critical security updates with that due to cease soon.

Why Does AppleScript Fail With Google Earth?

This simple script:
     tell application "Google Earth"
            GetCurrentVersion
     end tell
fails with the following error:
     error "Google Earth got an error: Can’t continue GetCurrentVersion." number -1708
and with the following Console message:
     3/2/13 5:24:42.505 PM Google Earth[53575]: +[NSDictionary scriptingRecordWithDescriptor:]: unrecognized selector sent to class 0xacdb248c

The GE AppleScript dictionary has the following entry:
GetCurrentVersion v : Get the current version of the Google Earth client
      GetCurrentVersion record : record of major, minor and build numbers
→ list of integer : version fields
AppleScript and Google Earth work fine for other users on this machine. It only fails on my account.
I have tried deleting all vestiges of GE from the machine and reinstalling, but this hasn't worked.
Any other ideas?

Don't test your website with Google Chrome if you publish it into a local folder.
Publish to a server. You need an URL with http:// and ( not file://) to view an iWeb site in Chrome.
You can also
activate the web sharing on your computer (Preferences system > Sharing > Check web sharing)
publish to Sites folder (MacIntosh HD > Users > Home folder >Sites)
and use the URL (with http) given by the web sharing tab in preferences system http://computer_name.home/~user_name/site_name/

Thanks for your reply. May I ask what makes you say I haven't applied all those updates you listed? To the best of my knowledge, I haven't skipped any that I've been alerted to, it just took me a while on some occasions to succeed.
This latest one is the only one I've taken such an extra long time to get, and if I'm behind on some, I don't understand why I'm still being alerted to "update"...?
My newest problem however is that when I shut Firefox down, and then try to clean out cache etc, I keep getting a message that says:
"You must close Firefox/Mozilla to allow the Internet Cache to be
cleaned.Otherwise this process will be skipped."
But there are no -- visible anyway -- browser windows open.

Are you seeing any error message or notification ? If so what ?
If the page fails to load try clearing Reloading with the Ctrl F5 shortcut to force loading without the old new cached files. If that does not help try cache and clearing cookies for that site.

You don't need to care about graphic driver on Mac OSX. It includes in OSX and run the driver your MacBook need.

OK, so here’s my question. I have been using Firefox for years; it’s a wonderful piece of software and an excellent browser. Recently I’ve been having problems with plugin-container.exe. The general advice has been to make sure that Flash Player is up to date (10.3.183.7) and that Firefox is up to date (6.0.1). I still have problems, particularly on YouTube and the new 4Od site, so much so that I used about:config to disable “dom.ipc.plugins.enabled”, I set the value to false. Plugin-container.exe was, prior to this, hogging all the CPU it could get its grubby little mits on, this no longer happens but whilst watching 4Od Firefox eats my entire CPU and the rendered video stream is filled with stutter, almost like frame dropping. It’s fun to watch Firefox struggle, but its no fun trying to watch a program. In desperation I downloaded and installed Chrome. Watching 4Od my CPU usage dropped from 98-100% down to 82%. I don’t particularly want to use Chrome but I do increasingly use my browser to watch streaming video content. Incidentally, if I use Firefox to watch the BBC Iplayer I only burn 35% CPU using Firefox. Oh, and I’m XPSP3, up to date.
How do I solve this stuttering problem?
Is this a codec issue with-in Flash Player?
Does 4Od use some sort of unsupported codec?
I can’t be the only one out on this limb and I know the problem solvers like a good challenge. Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.

Why does Firefox 22 work so poorly with the latest version of Yahoo Email??

I cannot open some folders, I cannot open some emails, so under Firefox 22 I find the newest version
of Yahoo Email is crippled. Under Firefox 21, the same email functions quite a bit better.

Why do firefox pages load faster if I switch to different application on the taskbar?

Using XP sp3, Firefox 27.0.1. Firefox spikes resources usage. I've tried resetting firefox. Granted, my pc is older, and only has 2.25 gig of ram, but until recently the loading time was acceptable. Now it's not. This seems to happen occasionally after firefox is updated.
Pages are loading much more slowly recently, maybe since security update on 2/14? The odd thing is, if, while the page is loading, I click on another non-firefox application, like the task manager, in the taskbar, the firefox page seems to load faster. Is this possible? The delay seems to be when the spinning circle (I don't know what it's called - favicon?) with the ball has turned green and is rotating to the right. I'm not talking just a few seconds of difference. It could be a minute's difference.

Ok, so I installed a program called Process Explorer, which is like Windows Task Manager, but with a bit more information. When Firefox is loading a new page, and is the current window, the page is slow to load and firefox takes between 65-80% of the cpu. If I click off firefox, it can take as much as 97% of the cpu, giving some up to AVG's avgrsx.exe, vprot.exe and sometimes plugin-container.exe, but loads the page faster.

I'm not sure what you mean - should I see this happening (as in it asking permission from me to grant access)? Because I don't.

Literally every single time I search Google it loads up the results page, but immediately crashes Firefox. No Crash ID it just goes blank and reads "Not Responding" at the top. This only happens with Google on Firefox, but Google on *shudders* Internet Explorer works as normal...

Firefox is not presently compatible with Google Tool Bar. When do you think this may be corrected. I use Google a lot.
