Why is Firefox preventing me from printing coupons from all sites

I can not print coupons from coupons.com and Target, and Publix and Firefox is the only thing that they have in common, and it all happened at the same time.

I can not print from Firefox, but can from all other browsers and applications (such as MS Word, notepad, etc.). I get a print error on the printing monitor like it's a spooling problem.

This is a recent development but I can not print anything from within Firefox. The print functions open normally, it is going to the correct printer which works..I can print from other browsers and applications. It acts like it is spooling and then a print error occurs and it won't print. I closed and reopened Firefox, opened it in safe mode, cleaned out history/cache/cookies, and rebooted twice. Nothing makes any difference. Also tried printing from the print preview which had the same result. I can print from all other browsers and applications without a problem so it must be within Firefox.

Why does Apple prevent ipad from accessing Extreme hard drives?

I have a very simple requirement. I want to access my pictures from my NAS (Extreme with external HD). While OSX can do this, Apple has prevented iOS from doing this pedestrian feat. It is very frustrating and 'feels' like it was done to merely propogate Hard drive consumption by copying videos everywhere. If Apple has to hang on this approach for their upgrade strategy, it is extremely weak. The ipads/etc. don't have enough storage to even begin to support the video storage requirements and backing up to iCloud to have a latent solution is even more weak. Even if I could get a 1TB I wouldn't do it as I don't want to stream HD videos that could be placed locally.
So Apple. Why? And btw, if you don't have a good reason, just think about all those enterprises, etc. that want server file access.

Firefox prevents pages from automatically reloading even though I click allow.

I wish that there were a way to allow only certain site to automatically reload. It's annoying to know that now, in order to have the one site I want to be able to reload allowed to do so, I have to allow all sites. But clicking the "allow" doesn't help -- it's a dynamic page for a radio station, and clicking "allow" doesn't even last a second before I get the message again. Going to the Advanced Options tab and allowing it from there is not very satisfactory. I will have to remember to recheck it each time I'm not using that particular site. I hope that an upgrade to firefox might eventually incorporate selective permission, as it does with the pop-ups.
Love firefox! It's still the best browser for me!

Why is Firefox preventing Windows 7 from shutting down? I must force quit.

When I try to shut down Win7 (Home Premium) , Firefox hangs and must be manually force quit. If I close Firefox before shudown, there is no issue. There are no warnings when I open or close Firefox (3.6.8).

I have the same problem. I run 3 different PCs, all with Windows 7 x64, FireFox 9 in all cases and on all systems this problem happens. When I shutdown Windows while FF is still running, FireFox will hang up and it has to be force closed. When I exit FF before shutting windows down, no problems occur.

Why does firefox crash when I print twice?

When printing any webpage from firefox, if I cancel the print command and try to print again, it crashes, and sometimes it crashes on the first attempt. I tried everything suggested on Mozilla troubleshooting website, and finally removed every firefox/mozilla file and re-installed new version of Firefox, but new version still has the same problem. Found other users online with same or similar issue, but no real solutions yet. Using Canon MX700 printer. Could it be a printer plugin? Any help appreciated

Check your print queue in your system preferences and make sure it is not jammed up with prior
print jobs that have not gone thru. After that I would shut the computer down, restart it by holding down the power button until your hear a long tone. If that does not work make sure your reinstall the print drivers that came with your Canon printer. Check the printer setting in the system prefs and make sure all settings are correct.
PS - keep in mind that sometimes PDF files and other files can become corrupt which will cause print hangs also!

Firefox prevents me from copying and pasting content from websites. How do I fix this problem?

When I enter this website, there are certain areas that FIrefox will allow me to copy and paste. However, if the content is located within frames, I get a message that indicates that Copy/Cut/Paste options are unavailable in Mozilla and Firefox. Then, the information box asks me if I want more information or to cancel the request. When I ask for more information, the system offers information about altering the preferences; however, those steps don't appear to work for me. Please help.

Hi happykt, I loaded a story and found that the mouse doesn't select anything in the main story area, although I can select in the header area near the author picture and I can select the entire page using Ctrl+a.
Right-clicking the story area and using Firefox's Inspect Element feature, I discovered the problem: the site is adding a style rule to block Firefox from selecting text:

Some elements within the main story have a .nocopy class name assigned, which applies a similar rule indirectly. Clearly the site doesn't want you to copy anything! Not sure why they didn't just come out and tell you this. Hmmm...
If you want to work around this "feature", you have three options:
(1) Turn off styles for the page temporarily. You can do this from the View menu.
Tap the Alt key if needed to display the classic menu bar
View menu > Page Style > No Style
Scroll down past all the menus and headings and copy at will.
(2) Use custom style rules to alter the page on each visit. Someone would need to develop this for you, and then you could add them to a file named userContent.css or use the Stylish extension.
(3) Use a script or add-on to alter the page on demand or automatically on each visit. Again, someone would need to create this and then describe how to implement it.

Why does Firefox delete files from my Drafts? Can I stop it?

I get messages saying Firefox has deleted x number of files from th Drafts folder when I really want to keep them.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

Why is InDesign preventing me from using a font I own?

Years ago I bought a collection of OPTIfonts which I still use on occasion. InDesign today is not letting me use OPTI Calculator, a digital alarm clock face. It either won't recognize it (even though it shows up in the list of fonts I activated, or somehow is blocking from use. WTF?

I don't know if this is the same Opti font or not...
If you installed it while ID was running, perhaps a simple exit and restart of ID will cure the issue.
ID is notorious for not liking fonts that are (or at least ot it are) corrupted. If your font previously worked, I would unintall it, reboot to clean out the font cache memory, reinstall it and see if it is now working. Then again, usually ID won't even list such fonts.
If this is the first go with this font, and depending upon the download, it is possible it was always corrupt and just now showing its problem. If the above font is the same as yours, let me know via a PM and I can get you a copy.

Why does firefox send documents from yahoo mail to be opened by windows media player?

i have fire fox set to ask me where i want documents to be sent. most of the time i have it set to send to my documents. but for the past 3 months every time i down load photos or any document sent to me from my yahoo email address they go to downloads as a compressed zip file that has to be opened by windows media player. when i click on it of course windows media says it can open the file. yahoo says it fire fox that is the problem , but fire fox doesnt do this with any thing but my yahoo mail. at any rate i would like it fixed or i dump ff and yahoo.

What is default(1).aspx and why is it preventing me from accessing hotmail account?

After I enter my username and password at hotmail.com sign in, I recieve a message saying 'default(1).aspx is missing and it tries to download. Then an error saying it cannot read file. Sometimes I can access mail but mostly not.

If you add other accounts to the Messages app after activating the iMessages account then by default (if you don't name them in the Description box) that take the name of the Service they join up to the point you have a second AIM valid Name or a second Jabber valid Name.
In My List my accounts are Named in the Description Box
AIM is Aol Instant Messenger so the Add Screen Shows AOL. You will see in the right hand pane under Account Info it says it is AIM.
You will see in the list several others are also AIM Valid accounts.
If you don't Name them yourself then the account info is used (like the iMessages one) when you have two or more for that service.
Google and Facebook run Jabber servers.
They are unlikely to work with a Hotmail ID (which is MSN and not Native to the Messages app).
You seem to have Added an Account as Google and tried to use a Hotmail ID
As the Google Servers only allow IDs that end @Googlemail.com or @gmail.com it will not work and you will be "Off Line".
The ID is "accepted" when you type it in as it conforms to an email Address.
Japib has their Facebook account called chat.facebook.com which happens to be the server name and that it how it appears in the list on the left in their Pic. It will also be in the Window Menu like that.

Why does firefox keeps forcing itself on top of all other windows? it doesn't matter what website im on, it always does it! Really gets on my nerves when im watching a video only to have it minimized and firefox slammed in my face lol...

It's not to do with what website I'm on - Firefox ALWAYS does this even if I just have a blank tab open! Seems to happen in ubuntu and windows 7. Does anyone know why this is??

Why can't I download from this site?

I'm trying to download the desktop manager from the blackberry site.
Whenever I try, it says the site is either down for maintenance or that its not avalible for my country? (I am from Canada)
My friend down the street from me could download anything with no issues, I always seem to have the same problem.

Do the following:
Click your start button, go to control Panel, go to uninstall a program, and remove babylon, browser protection, anything that looks suspicious.
Open up Firefox, type about:addons into the address bar, press Enter. go to Extensions. Remove Anything related to Babylon or that you don't know what it is.
