Why is Firfox no longer asking me to save any website passwords?

When I upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1 the feature asking if I wanted passwords saved stopped. Is there a way to reactivate this option because I really liked having the option to save passwords?

Any website that uses the .asp suffix will not open within the browser. Instead, firefox asks to download the website. If I choose to open the .asp file with firefox in the download prompt, I end up in a loop of asking to download/open. The asp websites work fine in Safari.

Firefox no longer asks me if I want it to remember user names and passwords. Except for those it had previously done so. I have the box checked in settings for it to do so, but it does not. This occurred after the update, an update I was reluctant to do in the first place.

Recently I have been rebulding the PW list. I have saved my banks P.W. in the past however i think i have clicked the "do not save" for my most used site. How do I get FF to ask me to save my banks password?

ff asked once to save the PW a website. I clicked "Not Now" However FF has not asked me to save PW on this particular site. FF does ask on different and new sites. I have checked the "Exceptions" log in the Security tab, it is empty.

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.

Try deleting the yahoo email account, and then recreate the account so you are sure all the information is now correct. I have had email information get corrupted for unknown reasons and found just removing and recreating the account to resolve the issues most of the time.
Check the ports, incoming and outgoing, on your iDevices to be sure the same are used on the iMac.

Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

Firefox no longer ask where to save a bookmark. It only bookmark the page to the bottom of my bookmark list.

uninstall with revo uninstaller, reinstall fresh with no extensions and still problem exist. Feature only works under safemode.

"Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in Firefox 4.
Click the orange Firefox button to open the Firefox menu and click the Bookmarks entry or click "Show All Bookmarks" to open the Library.

Which method do you use to create the bookmark?
Do you click the star on the location bar or do you use "Bookmark This Page" ?
If you click the star then you do not get a notification and you need to click the star a second time.
If it works in Safe mode then also check your theme (Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes). 
If you use a custom theme or persona then try the default theme.

I no longer see the URL of any website so can't copy and past URLs into any emails, etc. Is there some setting to make URLs visible? when I updated, the URLs disappeared. I'm on a MacBook.

When I updated to the latest version of Firefox, the URLs disappeared so they are no longer visible at the top of the Firefox page. I can enter sites, but I can't copy and past the URLs anymore. Why can't I see the http://... info anymore? Is there some setting I changed or what might be the problem?

Firefox no longer allows me to enter *any* websites without giving me a security error.

I have the latest version of firefox: 35.0. i am running windows 7 pro. Since this morning, firefox is not allowing me to enter any sites at all. not even my trusted bank site. all the other browsers do. it is giving me a problem with ALL the security certificates. in some cases i can get through by forcing it (not choosing 'get me out of here' but the other one) and in some cases the browser won't even let me do that (giving me a 'more information button and no way to get to the site). if i am allowed to get to the site, it is messed up and the graphics are either missing or crunched up on one side.
this is terrible. i don't want to use the IE (another nightmare), or safari (Hate apple). i use chrome at the moment but i always have two different browsers open in case the work i am doing on the other crashes it won't crash the current thing i am working on. i have tried everything listed in the help forums as of this morning and find this situation deplorable, to say the list.
is there a patch for this mess or do i have to just forget about firefox forever?

I can no longer play HD videos on any website.

I'm going to start off by saying, I'm almost certain it's not my internet. Latency in games and my browsing experience is exactly the same, the only thing that has changed is my video.
This has been a problem for a month or two, I used to be able to watch HD videos and streams with no trouble, but out of NOWHERE I tried to watch a video in 1080p and it was laggy.
It would load fine but the video itself would look really jerky, as if it was only loading a few frames per second. When I would pause the video the pictures would still play until the video caught up with the time it was at.
I've tried a handful of things such as; disk defrag, restoring computer to factory settings, downgrading to an older version of flash player, different browsers, deleting all of my history, uninstalling Shockwave Player and reinstalling it, watching 1080p videos on another computer in the house using the same internet (and it worked fine).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why won't the photo uploading browser appear on any website?

Whenever I attempt to upload a photo from my Mac onto any website (facebook, photobucket, etc.), the picture uploader will not pop up until I go to a different site. When doing so, the uploading browser will appear yet it remains unresponsive. I cannot click on any of the photos nor can I click on cancel either, I have to press esc in order for the browser to disappear. How can I fix this so that I'm able to upload pictures from my computer/iphoto onto websites once again?

I tried clearing out my cache/cookies/active logins and it still won't ask me to remember a new password. It's asked me to save a new password before too which is why it's so strange. One of the websites in question is salesforce.com if that helps. thanks!
