Why is flash cc broken
Hi,
I really really really need you guys to fix flash. It is my major tool at work. We have upgraded to cloud and I can no longer do my job.
For example.
I can no longer free hand draw!!!!! pencil and brush are useless as a creative tool. I cant even draw a circle! Dont beleive me, try drawing your best happy face freehand and you'll see what I mean. (and yes, everything is on default and I have a great, fast computer that can handle anyhing). Do it on a cintiq not with your mouse... artists use a cintiq.
Also I cannot backsave ANYTHING to an older version. So I'm stuck in Flash CC files and can not even open them in an older version to escape these problems.
Also Also...I cannot export ANY vector art images so I can recreate my work in older files. I dont want some dodgy third party plug-in that cant handle what I need to do that flash USED to be able to do.
Your job today
Fix the drawing tools so what you draw happens on screen, like it used to.
Enable backsaving so you dont have to fix everything else.
Include an export vector option.
and for pete's sake (thats me) please remove the stupid menu option that comes up when I hold the pen to the canvas. This stops me from drawing altogether!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DavidThere seems to be a problem with how Coldfusion embeds the Flash form on a webpage:
It errors out with this error when embedding a Flash form:
"Unmatched </embed> encountered"
This is really annoying as WebKit is used by many people now (iPhone, Safari and Google Chrome, etc). -
I have thee Mac computers with Mac OS 10.6.8, one of which is a Mac Pro. No matter how many updates I install from Adobe, their Flash Player does not work on any of these 3 computers. I don't know how to contact Adobe Systems about this problem, but I think it is their responsibility to make sure that their so-called "universal" software works proplerly on a relatively recent operating system like OS 10.6.8 that is still in widespread use. When you install the updates, nothing happens -- not even an error message. What is the point of a universal player that is not universal? It works fine on my MacBook Pro with OS 9 Mavericks, but it does not work at all -- indeed, has never worked -- on my 3 Macs with OS 10.6.8. Has anyone contacted Adobe Systems to find out why the Flash Player does not work with OS 10.6.8 and what they plan to do about it?
Where are you getting Flash from?
Get the appropriate dmg installer here and then run it.

If it still won't install, do these two things: First uninstall any Flash by going into the second level Hard Drive Library>Internet Plug-ins, and trash the Flash Player.plugin and flashplayer.xpt. Then boot into Safe Boot, Shift at the startup chime (give it much longer than a usual boot) and run the installer while booted in Safe Boot. -
Why does flash player not work with facebook?
Why does flash player not work with fcebook? Whenever I wish to view a video, I get the message that i need to upgrade my flash player. Then no matter how often I download and install flash player I still get the message that I need to upgrade my flash player. When I go check which version I have, I always get the message that I have the most current one. I run Mozilla Firefox with Windows. I don't know anything else.

Might not just be Flash that's causing Safari to crash.
Post a crash report.
If Safari has just crashed, press the Report button on the CrashReporter dialog box to view the crash information.
Copy/paste the entire contents of the Crash Reporter window into your reply. If the crash report dialog does not appear or the crash is hard to reproduce, crash logs can be retrieved from the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter> folder. -

Why is flash player 10.2 hanging on the browser on Mac? (providing detail information)
I have been using NetConnection to implement record/playback feature in flash, but a lots of users recently complaint the flash player freezing the broswer randomly during the recording. so I did some investigation and found why the flash player hanging on the broswer.
it is because the flash player waiting a 'CLOSE_WAIT' tcp socket there forever.

Background information:

flash player version: You have version 10,2,152,26 installed
broswer: firefox3.6 (basically, other browsers have same problem)
so the issue is, the tcp socket connection will be closing by the peer, which just sent [FIN,ACK] to try close the socket, but the flash player have no intention to send [FIN, ACK] back to close the socket, I guess it might still want to send some data out, but even I invoked NetConnection.close method, the flash player has beening still hanging on there. so the funny thing is, if I unplug the network cable, the browser is able to wake up, I guess that is because the tcp socket is reset by RST, so the flash player catch the signal instead just stop there to wait something forever.
please guide me how I can solve this issue, it is obviously a flash player bug, whatever reason, you just cannot block the process forever.Here is the report of system when I force quit Firefox

Why does Flash install Google Toolbar?
Why does Flash install Google Toolbar? Honestly, do you have ANY idea how annoying that behaviour is? I had no option at all to not download it, I could not stop downloading it. I was taking from a "you need to install flash" button on Facebook to the download.
Honestly things like this make me rage, installing things automatically without an option.
Until now, I used to think that it was annoying that Apple wouldn't allow flash on some of their devices. Now Adobe pulls **** like this, I'm not surprised. To hell with Flash I say.This is a user-to-user forum, and you're "preaching to the choir" here. IT ISN'T going to change, and NO ONE from Adobe management ever sees or reads these pages. Employees are here from time to time but no one who makes these decisions participates in these forums, per company policy. (I used to work for Intuit, and we were strictly prohibitied from posting in their forums. A team leader I worked with was fired for it).
Links to the FULL installers are posted literally HUNDREDS of times each week throughout these pages by myself, and at least three others I know of, who volunteer in these pages daily.

I installed a corporate install of Flex/Flash Builder 4 Premium, and verified that it was the Premium version was installed. The Start Page said that Flash Player was needed to display the text, so I installed Flash Player 10 Debug -- first download link from here:

When I then started Flex Builder 4, the splash screen showed Premium, but as soon as the Start Page was visible, it showed "FB Adobe Flash Builder 4 Standard" --- Help | About showed Standard, and the splash screen from then on showed Standard.
A Google search showed a work around for this, but it requires a license for Premium, which I don't have because our corporate install has it built-in:

Thanks!I had similar problem. I was involved in Flash Builder prerelease program and few months later I installed Adobe CS5 Master Collection. After that I had a same situation. Best thing was, my Flash Builder Beta was Premium version but acted like Standard, and FB from CS5 was Standard but acted like Premium. I removed CS5 and beta version of CS5. used CS5 Cleaning Fix and then reinstalled my apps.
I was lucky that I didn't have many big projects involved in FB beta or CS5 workspaces, I heard some guys had problems with migrated workspace configurations but I don't know what was the problem. -

Why new Flash Text Engine (FTE) renders characters incorrectly? (Sometimes there is a space)
I have been trying to create a HTML Wrapper for my CMS, but the old TextField just cant do it.
With the new much more versatile Flash Text Engine (I am not reffering to FTL), I have successfuly created the wrapper. However i have one problem.
WHY new Flash Text Engine sometimes added a space between 2 characters? it makes the text ugly

Please Note : That the Left Side is the HTML Text Render (which correctly render all texts)
With KERNING set to "on" , check the word 'underline' and the word 'paragraph' (I have marked it with red circle)

Now, is there any solution? hell, i should have turned 'on' the kerning right? but both turning 'on' and 'off' presents a problem of their own (in how they add a space randomly)
Any help will be greatly appreciated, or even a "you should look at Class X" will be enough (I am quite proficient in ActionScript 3.0)

ChowiYou are right about high CPU usage. It was even when playing various computer games. I don't have problems anymore. But not because I disabled all addons. I did these things:
In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
Search for dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable-protected-mode in the list of preferences.
Double-click on the preference to toggle its value from false to true. (If the setting is already true it means that Flash Protected Mode is currently disabled.)
Close Firefox.
Restart Firefox.
And since then I don't have that particular problem with overloading. I just disabled some of flash protected mode. How is that related with "overloading"? Strage. Hardware acceleration I've enabled again as without it whole text field in news sites is sometimes black.

I'm getting a glitch with almost every video hosting like Youtube, Vimeo, vk.com etc. It's a glitch with green screen and the video starts skipping video in big parts, also making scary sounds, sometimes it starts doing it when the video is playing byitself,
sometimes when i skip on a particluar part. It happens to almost every video. I'm not sure what the issue is, I get it in Mozilla and Chrome. I reinstalled flash player 5 times, cleared cache, deleted browsing hystory, tried everything.

I was reading another thread and saw this (disabling hardware acceleration should work), then I restarted, and tried using HA and again green screen and crashing. Now I'm using without HA and so far, so good. I sent a report to AMD, because I'm using latest drivers for Radeons and obviously there is an incompatibility.
