Can anyone tell me why Adobe Flash Player behaves like Malware
No this is not one of those fake immitators, I have scanned my PC and installed from Adobe.com
What I am talking about is the way that Adobe launches an update process DESPITE the fact that I have told it NO UPDATES.
What do I have to do to get Adobe to cease and desist from running programs on my PC WITHOUT Permission

I installed Flash on both Firefox and Internet Explore,
Incidentally BOTH gave me an error saying
"flashplayer17_ha_install.exe/SC/#168"
but continued to install
How do I KILL this thing once and for all from running without permission, I cannot see it in Services or In Task Scheduler or MSConfig
In control panel there is a Flash Player 32 bit) which is strange as I am running a 64bit version of Windows, when loaded it says
"Flash Player Settings Manager"
it has an Update Tab that says Notify me to install update,
Well I do not mind Adobe checking once a day, I DO NOT want yet another process clogging up my PC, slowing it down, freezing my PC etc.
So how do I get rid of this?

FlashUtil64_xxx.exe is the ActiveX broker process. There was a build system bug a while back that applied the wrong description string to the process during packaging.
It's really the ActiveX broker, which is necessary for process separation (a security in-depth thing).

When I double click on it to run it, I get "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher.
I have tried with the antivirus turned on and turned off. Same result. Plus I tried to right click and then selected Run as Administrator. Looked ok, but then I got a message stating that Windows cannot find'C:\Users\ME\Adobe Acrobat XI Pro\AcrobatPro_11_Web_WWMUI.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
I am on Windows 8.1 - please help me!!

Make sure if there is any uninstaller in control panel --> programs then uninstall it before installing.
You can also download Acrobat cleaner tool to clean the application before uninstalling.

When I reboot, why does NISerialRegistryMaintenance.exe run?

This is a VXIpc-872B which was ghosted from another VXIpc-872B which has a successfully running application.
We see the NISerialRegistryMaintenance.exe window pop up after reboot on the new pc, but not the previous.
Maybe there's another setting we don't have correct?

It's ok. We solved the problem by removing all the networking Protocol and Adapters on the new PC. Now NISerialRegistryMaintenance.exe runs, but very quickly so all we see is that the window pops up, then goes away. I take that to mean that it was timing out before. Which leads me to believe that the networking was set up differently between old and new PCs. Since we don't want any networking, we just got rid of it.

You need to install the LabVIEW Runtime engine for your specific LabvIEW version.
In the project window you can create an installer that includes the Runtime Engine (RTE).

Why won't exe run over vi server when VIs will?

I have a "Server" which I intend to run on a locat machine at my desk. It's function is to simply gather messages in a text box from multiple clients. I'm using the VI Server method. The VIs work but when I build them there is no communication. On "My Computer" I checked "TCP/IP" and set the port to 3368, I currently have another server on 3363.
I can't figure out what my issue is. I have rebuilt the client exe many times with various inputs (using static ip for the machine name setting, then using the service name for port number and service name, and the port 3368). These various builds were not successful.
I think I have gone through the appropriate steps to attempt to correct the issue but I can't solve it.

If the client is an EXE you don't need to enable VI Server for it. This can cause problems because of the port being in use by the VI. The client exe can basically have an empty ini file (just the section name in the first line is sufficient).
Did you specify the machine name to connect to in the exe? If the client exe and the server are on the same machine use localhost or 127.0.0.1 or the hostname. Leaving it empty will not work because this will return an application reference to the current application instance (in this case the exe itself) no matter what port you specify.

Why Does ImageReady.exe Run on My Laptop?

I have the Sattelite L955-S5370 (Windows 8). I noticed that two instances of ImageReady.exe are running as processes. From my research, this is part of Adobe Photoshop. However, neither Photoshop nor Photoshop Express has ever been installed on this laptop. The only Adobe product that has ever been on this laptop, to the best of my knowledge, was Adobe Reader.
I'm not complaining; these processes don't seem to be causing any problem, from what I can tell. I'm just wondering how in the heck they got onto my laptop?

There are only so many file names. Some with the same name are different files. And of course Adobe may use the file for many products.
For clues..
a. locate the path to the file
b. right-click the file, click Properties, and look at the Details tab.

You probably don't really need 1080 at 60 for your finished projects but since you're just starting out with Motion, you need to lower your expectations. A long way. 1080 is about 2 million pixels per frame, DV is only about 400,000. That's not just five times as many pixels for the Mac to track; everything in video is exponential.
Explore the training tutorials available by Mark Spencer. You will get an idea of how his super powerful machine reacts with the software.

I had the same issue. This is what I was told to do.
iWork has to be removed completely to be effective when re-installing, you must use an application removal tool to do this or it wont remove every Keynote file.
Appcleaner   will do this and its free.
The following procedure has helped solve many issues with Keynote:
1 Close Keynote then use Appcleaner
2 Empty the Trash
3 Shut down the Mac, then restart and press the shift key immediately after the startup sound, then release shift when the Apple logo appears
          allow the Mac to boot up to the desktop, it will take longer then usual as the hard drive is being repaired
4 restart the Mac
5 Reinstall iWork
6 Repair permissions:
          Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility > First Aid:   click on your system disc in the drive column
          and select Repair Disk Permissions
7 open Keynote and test

Why does NiVisaServer.exe is running when Labview is running??

I am running two identical test setups for some system testing. The PC configuration and test cases are same on both the setups. I am using Labview version 8.5 . I observe the setup running with NiVisaServer.exe is slow as compared to the other setup. The same file is not running in the other setup. My question is , does NiVisaServer.exe slow down the Labview execution?? Why does NiVisaServer.exe is not running in the other tester eventough both are identical??

More than likely it might have been accidentally set to start up when the PC starts. See attached screenshot for where this is configured in MAX.
