Why is floating disabled

I have just bought pages (bit late to the party) and I can't get images or text boxes or drawn objects to toggle between inline and floating. I have tried both the main buttons and in inspector and neither work and are greyed out. The document started as a blank word processor sheet. Any ideas or assistance gratefully received.

First, the Object must be Selected. The Corner and Side Handles will be showing.
Can you tell us any more about the context of the objects?

Why two FLOAT values are stored differently?

Curious as to why two FLOAT values are stored differently. Inserting
two FLOAT values one with value of 99E9 and the other with 12E-9.
Value for 99E9 was stored in the database as 99000000000 and 12E-9
was stored in the database as 1.2E-8. Why were they stored in
different formats? I am using Oracle9i

Why does DW disable insert menu items?

This must be a configuration option someplace, but in general, why would DW disable Insert menu items?
I am in .cfm file, in clearly an unlocked area of a page where I should be allowed to insert hyper links, email links, horizontal rules, images, tables. But on the Insert menu, each of those items is disabled (and others, but you get the point). Since the insert menu items are disabled, the keystroke shortcuts for those actions don't function.
I can manually type in these tags, and I can insert them from the Insert window.
I start a brand new .cfm page, and the insert menu is fine.
It appears DW is examining the code and deciding [INCORRECTLY] what is appropriate to insert via the menu.

That's plain HTML, not PHP, and DW doesn't do that - really.

I have the same issue. I don't have, or have never had any Exchange account on the ipad. A simple yahoo email accout is the only one on it. I have turned off all restrictions, and restarted several times. Have yet to reset or restore, would just like to get rid of the passcode, but I can't......Thanks for any advice.

Why is floating toolbar on online pdf files inactive?

I am running Windows 7 Professional and Adobe Reader 10.1.2. When trying to save online PDF files to my hard drive I cannot make use of the save button on the floating toolbar (see image). Can anybody explain why and what if any settings I need to change?

Dear Ankit, I reverted the check box option in Adobe Reader and rebooted my computer to make sure the changes took effect. When I tried to save the file for which you had included the link, I found the buttons in the reader toolbar on top still inactive. See first screenprint. No floating toolbar in this document. As stated previously the only way to save this file to my computer is to use the command toolbar on my browser. I then tried to save a PDF file downloaded from a Sony website (see link below and 2nd and 3rd screenshot). This time the floating toolbar showed up but again, it was inactive. I don't understand why the floating toolbar on some PDF files shows while on others it doesn't. Regardless, in either case the reader toolbars are inactive. Please try this yourself by going to the link below. I wonder if you experience any of my problems. Thanks!

Why cant i disable mail service ?

Mail service got enabled when I enabled some other services (don't know which one) i checked a couple and it got enabled, i tried to disable it then but it wouldn't let me, back then i didn't pay much attention to it so of course it's not configured. Right now the server is going crazy with disk IO, ran iotop and found out there are 2 processes to blame, 1 is mds (i'll murder spotlight soon) and the other is qmgr which from the man page i found it's mail related, my mail is hosted on gmail so i have no intention of using this service. If i click stop nothing happends, same if i uncheck it under services.

Unchecked 'Enable SMTP', 'Enable IMAP' and 'Enable POP', then checked 'Deliver to /var/mail

As for disk usage, i'm running a cron job every minute so que queue had close to 6k mails it couldn't deliver. deleted them all " sudo postsuper -d ALL " and redirected output on the cron job to /dev/null

If cisco "openh264 video codec" is so great that Mozilla packages it automatically, why is it disabled (Never Activate) as an Add-on?

It seems that every software manufacturer has to write a plethora of little gimmicks into their installation and setup files that loads trash onto my computer. I'm not talking about programs like _Chrome_, that gives me a chance to decline. I'm talking about programs that surreptitiously add basically worthless entries to nearly every accessible niche on the system. And fails to remove anything from the registry upon uninstallation. So, as a matter of operating policy I routinely uninstall programs I never use, turn off services I never use, delete startup entries I never use... (I will not openly admit to my forays into Windows' Registry for fear of being bedeviled by another round of "party policy" alarmisms against it.) Do you get the picture? Hence my question. Before I nuke it too.

hello Stan_Schultz, cisco's openh264 codec would be a part of the browser itself (in order to enable webrtc video conversations), however for licensing purposes mozilla cannot distribute it directly - that's why it is provided in this form as a plugin. i have never seen it disabled by default though...

Why does Firefox disable the Uninstall button on incompatible and disabled extensions (which should be removed)?

I guess I'm just OCD because I don't want to see a bunch of incompatible and disabled extensions on my list but I can't be the only person who would like to remove them. It seems the obvious choice ... but it is unavailable. Why?

Please don't dodge the question. People have normal adds-ons and extentions that when become incomparable are greyed out and there is no way to uninstall it. Mine is Java at this time. Mine is an extension. I haven't had this enabled since 7 came out apparently I don't need it. So I would like to save space and take the darn thing off the computer. But I can't find a way. Can you please help me? thanks

Oracle AS 10.1.3.3 - why is XML disabled in the Oracle built PHP version?

I have just upgraded Oracle AS version 10.1.3.0.0 to 10.1.3.3. This includes an upgrade of PHP from 4.3.3 to 5.1.2.
Looking at the phpinfo() output I notice that pretty much all XML functionality is disabled:-
disable-libxml' 'disable-dom' '--disable-simplexml' '--disable-xml' '--disable-xmlreader' '--disable-xmlwriter'
Why is this the case?
I also notice that Pear is disabled. Very very disappointing.

I noticed this a week or so ago. Perhaps you should post it again on the Oracle AS forum, they probably know more about their product?

Why sxi_cache has disabled cache update button?

I have checked 2 ECC6.0(ABAP+JAVA).
On sxi_cache I see the the message" cache content is obsolete".
However, when trying to update the cache, I find that button
called "refrsh cache delta/complete" disable for both ECC6.

Why is OK disabled in the debugger's Modify Value dialog?

For some reason OK disabled in the debugger's Modify Value dialog. Nothing that I have seen so far explains why this would happen. The variable stores an oracle.jbo.domain.Date, and the ADF source library was imported into the project.

My question is, why do I have to use 2 floating IP's, one uses bond0 and the other uses bond1? can I just create one floating on bond1 and for all purposes, for instance? For what reasons, do I have to use 2 floating IP's?

Hi,
Two floating IP's should be used because on an Exalogic machine there are multiple network interfaces. As it says on that document, bond0 is for IPoIB and bond1 is EoIB.
bond1 is the interface available outside the Exalogic machine. But, for example, if you need to connect to an Exadata machine (using Weblogic with JDBC/GridLink) that must be done through InfiniBand (IPoIB - bond0 interface).

EDI_DC40 contains the data about control records.
Before the message leaves the Integration Server, the message header contains values that are exported and used later to complete the IDoc control record.
Adapter populates it runtime.
