Why is Ghost Hunters not available?

I expected to be able to watch the new episode of the current season of series Ghost Hunters from the SyFy channel yesterday June, 13th 2013.  When I went to download it I found that Ghost Hunters is completely missing from iTunes.  I own a few of the seasons, including the current one, as I tried to find it I received the message "this item is not available in the US store".  So, I paid for the current season and expect to receive new episode as promised or some money back (would rather simply receive the new episodes as the become available).  SO WHATS UP?  Any info from anyone would be helpful, thanks everyone!

I was just about to try the "cord cutting" with my cable service. I have Time Warner in Nebraska and have to use a TUNING ADAPTER with my TiVo. Apparently their cable cards suck. With Comcast in Washington I not only didn't need the adapter, but they also enabled (clumsily though) on demand access as well. I was getting fed up with trying to record shows (Ghost Hunters, Destination Truth, and others) only to have the episodes not completely captured or not at all. I have Netflix and thought maybe between that and some purchased TV seasons (like GH), I could justify it. Plus not having commercials is always a benefit. If GH doesn't come back to iTunes I will have to forget that option.

    if you can connect to btwifi without the app then I wouldn't bother trying to find the apk file
    if you have an android smartphone then you can download the app and get the apk file to sideload on to your nook

    I understand your frustration, however update availability can vary depending on Region and carrier, this is because some regions and carriers may not have signed off the update or have policies preventing the update occuring.

    You would have to ask Apple and/or the company that makes the app and/or - most likely - the Government of your country.
    I'm sure Apple and the app developer would love to sell more apps.

    Sorry, but no one here will know why any content is not available in the iTunes Store. Apple never makes statements that I've ever seen, so unless the show's network or owner says something, we just can't know. There could well be contractual issues between the talent and the producers, or the producers and the network, an exclusive deal signed with some other online provider, or any number of other reasons. Your guess is as good as ours.

    Michael is correct.  While iTunes Match has been rolled out in many countries, India certainly is not the only country where it is not yet available.

    We have a Surface with Windows 8.1 RT.  When I go to the Tools and try to Optimize (trim) the SSD it says "Optimization not available" and the Analyze and Optimize buttons are greyed out.  I've seen posts where others are able to optimize
    their drives, so what am I missing in this case.  I checked the Services for Optimization and it was set to manual, but even when turning it on at startup automatically it makes no difference.  Any ideas on how to optimize on the Surface?

    S. Sengupta, I think you are missing the point of my original post.  Of course I know you don't defrag an SSD.  But you can optimize them using Trim.  I have two other notebooks running Windows 8.1 and both have the ability to optimize the
    SSDs as shown in the screenshot AnaBna posted.  This is not normal behavior for the options to be greyed out, and only our Surface with 8.1 RT exhibits this behavior.  Possibly this IS normal for a Surface, and if there is anyone else out there with
    a Surface (regular, not Pro) willing to look they can tell me if theirs is also un-optimizable.  The only thing that makes me think other's with a Surface can optimize is that when I searched for a solution to this others mention they can do this on their
    Surface. 
    I say this with all respect, but I think sometimes on this forum people just fire off answers very quickly without really reading the whole question or knowing the answer just to get credit for posts and points.
