Why is gmail not working when I try to set up in Mail?
I cannot set up my mail account. i try to set it up but when I enter my information, it says: Logging in to the Gmail IMAP server “imap.gmail.com” failed. Make sure the user name and password you entered are correct, then click Continue. If the information isn’t correct, you cannot receive messages.
What is wrong?

How you do it though depends on the version of OS X you are running.
On Lion or Mountain Lion, you use the following technique to reset the Administrators password:
Boot to your Recovery Partition, by holding down the Option key while starting, and then selecting the Recovery HD as the boot choice.
Once booted, at the top of the screen is a menu ..., select Utilities / Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A “Reset Password” window will open. Select your boot volume (your SSD drive) if it is not already selected. Select your administrators username from the menu labeled “Select the user account” if it is not already selected. Follow the prompts to reset the password. Restart the computer from the apple menu.
If you are using the Keychain, you will lose your existing one, and have to start a new one, unless you remember the old password. -
I am using iPad1. Running v4.3 and when connecting to wifi iPad keyboard does not work. Keyboard works for everything else including typing this question out. Why would it not work when typingin password for wifi connection?

Normal secured WiFi requires only a password to get access. The password is used to encrypt traffic between your device and the WiFi access point. restore your phone as new through itunes. if the issue persists after a factory restore via itunes, it means you've got a hardware issue and the phone needs to be repaired

You can try going to Mail>the accounts>Advanced and turn Use SSL on or off, the opposite of what it is now. -

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -
just bought a MacBook Air and using Numbers to make a spreadsheet for financial purposes. The sum function is working ok for whole numbers but when I try to sum a column of 2 decimal place numbers the result always comes back as 0. Can anyone help?

I suspect that your 2 decimal place numbers are formatted as text. Change the format of the column to currency and see it that works.

Those apps must have been purchased under a different Apple ID. You will have to delete and re-purchase/re-download them under the new one to solve this issue.
