Why is iChat saying my screen name is not valid when I've never had a problem before?

All of a sudden, my iChat will not connect to my mac.com account. I keep receiving an error message that says "the screen name entered is not valid". I've never had an issue with this account before. I thought maybe this was because I just traveled abroad yesterday- however, I was successfully able to log into my iChat account when I first arrived, but when I went to login again, I started to receive that error message. I've used this account in the past when I've traveled abroad and never had an issue. Why all of a sudden? Help!

There does seem to be a glut of people who use their @Mac.com Screen Names in iChat or Message that travel to different countries that then find they cannot login
Try Logging in here https://settings.aim.com/
If it says your Account has been Suspended you will need this page
Use the TOSGeneral email to contact them.
It seems the people at AIM/AOL that contact you do not always know about the agreement that Apple Issued IDs (@mac.com and @me.com) are also valid AIM Screen Names.
They will
1) Want you to change the password (it will not make any difference to the Flagging of your "account")
2) tell you they can't find that you have an Account with them (you don't it is with Apple)
Remind them gently that there is an Agreement with Apple to allow Apple IDs as Valid Screen Names
That their Servers check the Names and Passwords with the Apple Servers but the Suspended Account Flag is set at their end and they need to Undo it.

Ive always loved Itunes, Ive always thought it was the easiest way to build a library, either music, or movies, ebooks or what have you. I am having a similar problem with iTunes 11 on a Windows 7 box. I was able to rent and play HD movies befor "upgrading" to iTunes 11, however now when I try and rent a movie in HD I get the error: "This cannot be played in HD on this computer. You must rent and watch the HD version on an HD-compatible device. Or, you can rent the SD version and watch it on this computer."
Guess i'll be renting movies from XBox from now on.

I used to have FF and then I had to reformat. Downloaded file but when it goes to extract, I get Local\temp\7zS6f17.tmp\setup.exe. The directory name is not valid. I've never had this before. Suggestions? ps: can't use firefox because of this =(

This reformat is doing my head in. I hate using IE and was really looking forward to getting back onto FF.
All I did was download the application, try to run it but when it comes to the extraction, a pop up box comes up with the info I've put up there.
Any suggestions that gets me off stupid IE would be appreciated.

Trying to upload pictures to a website, but it doesn't work. After going thru the whole process, I get a message saying; the server attempted to redirect you. Server redirection is not supported. This only happened after I updated Firefox. Never had this problem before.

Make sure all of the videos used in the project that is having that problem are from the same event. If they are from multiple events, move them all into one event.

You can restore from a backup.

My Time Machine says there is no backup disk available. I've never had any problems with my time machine. I'm not technologically savvy, so if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it!

You can lose your ability to backup through TM for any number of reasons, but the most common is what happens after a update. If your drive still works, your best approach is to read this:

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
