  • My ipad iCloud mail continually freezes ALL of my email when I get spam. How can I change that?

After the latest update, my ipad iCloud mail freezes when I get spam. It freezes all email. I have to go to PC, and erase the mail before I can use it again. So far I haven't found any settings on ipad or iCloud on the PC to limit what email I receive.
The spam messages cannot just be trashed from ipad.
There's got to be a way to stop the spam!
    Thanks, Kathyellen

  • IOS 7.1 update - Icloud Mail appears broken on iPad Air

Since installing the iOS7.1 update I have been unable to get icloud mail to work on my iPad Air.
Its not an iCloud problem (i don't think) because on my two macs i can access my icloud via both the web browser and email apps. I can send and receive emails on all these variants.
However, all i see on the iPad is the message "cannot get Mail. connection to server failed"
I tried all of Apples troubleshooting suggestions, and nothing worked. I have deleted the icloud account and re-installed it (twice) and all that happens now is all the previous emails have vanished from my iPad, and whenever i try to open Icloud email i get asked for my password and my Inbox remains blank....and periodically i get asked for the pssword again, and again, and again....
Weirdly, i can still send emails without problems, and a copy remains in the outbox too.
What is really p!$$!ng me off is this iPad has worked perfectly since i bought it, whilst my wifes identical device has been plagued with crashing problems since we bought them a day after launch.
Now i cannot access my email, and i'm no longer eligible for tech support...even though the ipad is just over 4 months old and this is a problem that appears to have been created by Apple.
    Any suggestions?

i seem to have found a solution to the email problem!
    http:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864?viewlocale=en_US
add a new mail account, but instead of picking the built-in iCloud option, i had to choose other and then enter the IMAP details manually.
Once that was entered, i went into the iCloud settings and switched Mail off. Then back in the email settings i renamed the account description to iCloud.
thats three hours of time i could have done without wasting!

  • How do I recreate my iCloud mail account on my iPad Air.

Took my iPad Air to Genius Bar at Apple store bekse of frequent system crashes/freezes.  Tech removed all apps and system, then reloaded iOS.  Result was like having a new device with no Settings/ apps.  Tried to recreate settings, including mail accounts. All OK until tried to recreate iCloud mail account.  Won't allow me to recreate bkse keep getting notices email user name is already in use (it is, it is mine!), and SMTP ICloud server is not responding/ accepting email name.  How do I recreate my iCloud mail account so that it works on my IPad?  Suggestions?

Let's try deleting the iCloud account from your iPad, then adding it back.
If you have any photo stream photos on your iPad, save them to your camera roll by opening your My Photo Stream alburm, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  The force close the Mail app by double-tapping the home button, locating Mail in the list at the bottom, tap and hold Mail until it wiggles, tap to close it, then tap the home button agian.
Then to delete the iCloud account go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Delete from My iPad when prompted.  This only deletes the account and your iPad data from your iPad, not from iCloud.  Then go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in and turn on your sync settings, confirming that Mail is set to On.  Your iCloud data will reappear on your iPad after a brief delay as it redownloads.  Open Mail and see if your iCloud account is there now.

  • Why my icloud mail fails to deliver

Why my icloud outgoing mail returns as failed to deliver? This is the message: Delivery Notification: Delivery has failed

    Hello, Oscar.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is the best troubleshooting resource to go through when experiencing issues with iCloud mail.
If you experience issues sending or receiving mail on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Check the System Status page to find out whether any known issues are affecting iCloud Mail.
Make sure that you're connected to the Internet: try opening a webpage such as apple.com in Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Go to iCloud.com on a Mac or PC to verify that you can receive email for your iCloud account.
Make sure that Mail is turned on in Settings > iCloud.
Make sure that Push is turned on for your device in Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendars > Fetch New Data. Then send an email to your account to verify that Push is working correctly.
Make sure that Push is turned on for your iCloud account in Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendars > Fetch New Data. If you are using iOS 6, tap Advanced. Then Tap your iCloud account and make sure that Push is turned on. If you have multiple iCloud Mail accounts set up on your device, Push can be used only with one account at a time. Make sure that Push is turned on for your primary iCloud Mail account.
Turn your device off and back on.
If the issue persists, turn off each of the settings in steps 4, 5, and 6 above, then turn them back on. If that does not help, follow these instructions to delete the iCloud account from your device, then add the account back:
Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendars.
    Tap your iCloud account.
Tap Delete Account. If you store Contacts, Calendar, or Bookmarks data in iCloud, you will be given the option to keep that data.
On the Mail, Contacts, and Calendars screen, tap Add Account, then tap iCloud to begin setting up your iCloud account again. If data from your device is stored in iCloud, you will be given the option to merge that data with the data on your device.

  • Mail appears in iCloud mail inbox but other folders (sent, archive etc) have no mail in them.

The move form mobileme to icloud seems to have worked for all services apart from mail. OSX Mail and IOS5 mail (iphone 4 & Ipad1) seems to be syncing correctly with iCloud and can see all the mail in all folders (sent, archive and personal folders.  But for some reason iCloud mail only shows the mail in the inbox even though it is correctly syncing to the other devices.
Anybody else had this problem? Any advice/ideas would be appreciated?

Hi. I managed to resolve this problem today. I used the express lane for icloud.
    http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/
Online chat with support who checked my icloud mail account. They reset something at the icloud server and my emails have now appeared in all folders with everything working ok.
    Hope this works for you.

  • Why has iCloud mail stopped showing messages in the "Sent" folder?

Recently I've noticed that any emails I send from iCloud email does not show in the "Sent" mail folder. This, in and of itself is not really a big deal, but I'm curious to know if everything i've sent is being stored somewhere and is accumulting taking up storage space. I try to delete almost everything out of iCloud since I only have the basic storage account. Anyone else experiencing this with iCloud Mail.
    Thanks,
    Dave

Sounds like a limit of your ISP, as it's trying to put it back on the mailserver, which may not accept such a large file.

I am having continuing problems with email being 'lost' from my inbox or transferred to other folders before I have had an opportunity to deal with it and  without my having actioned a setting to this effect.  I have 'lost' nearly a fortnight's worth of email in this way - I have no idea where it has gone.  I have discovered a completely new folder called 'BT Yahoo! Broadband', which I have not created and which contains (some) email from 2010??!!
Also mail is displaying in reverse order (most recent at the end/bottom and oldest at the top)!!  Please can someone explain what is going on, as I appear to have lost control over these 'happenings?
    Hi.
I would suggest changing your password as a start, in case someone else has managed to gain access.

  • How can I manage my icloud mail account on my iPad since my apple id user is my gmail account?

    Hello,
I'm unable to send and receive mails from my icloud account since when when trying to add this mailbox to my account IOS pops a message that says the my gmail account is already added.
My apple user ID is my gmail account, could this be the problem?
How can I be able to manage my icloud account in my iPad?

  • Why is my mail inbox only showing the first ten emails when I have it set to show the first 200?

I have my email setting set to show me 200 messages in my inbox, but can only see the first ten emails. Anyone know what might be happening?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if they show when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • ICloud mail on MacBook pro, iPad, itouch, etc

I have been spending days trying to figure out how to get my mail to work. I just upgraded to Lion, switched my me over to icloud. But now I cannot get any mail on my mail client, or on my devices (ipad, itouch). What am I doing wrong?
I have been able to "send" mail successfully through mail client, but I can't see any of my messages or folders. I have tried so many things, please help......
And this is what it states when I try to take accounts online:
There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “iCloud” or try again.
The server returned the error: The server “imap.mail.me.com” refused to allow a connection on port 993.

You may have hit a server glitch - there have been a number of complaints suggesting that this is going on - particularly as it's affecting all your devices, not just one.
You could try signing out in System Preferences>iCloud or Settings>iCloud as applicable then signing back in again.
Beyond that you could try MobileMe Support (I know you're on iCloud but there is no free support for that unless you happen to have AppleCare, and MobileMe Support have helped some people). Go to http://www.apple.com/support/mobileme/ww/ and select your country. In the next window click on a category to expand it, then on a subject to get a link to 'live chat'.
