Why is ipod mini beeping?

I have had my ipod mini now for about 2 years. Just this year for some reason it started to beep. Does anyone else's ipod mini beep? It also gives off this sound of the hard drive working. Can anyone help me with my situation. Now I can no longer update songs or anything on my ipod and I've tried restoring it about 3 times.

my bro has had his iPod mini for about 2 years now and his has really low battery as well. for instance he has to charge it via usb about 3 times while hes at school, and still by the time he gets home there is no battery left.
anyway, i wouldnt say yours is due for repair yet.
my brothers beeps when you plug it in the pc as well. basically the battery is really low. after about 10 minutes it will have enough charge and it will come up in iTunes and u can just carry on.
theres nowt wrong wi ur iPod mate. just a low battery and a worrying beep

While turned off and on hold, my ipod mini will spasticly start beeping, accually a ctachy little jingle, and turn on display and light. I dont understand why it turns on for it has battery and is on hold...whats wrong? and why does it do that?

You should check to make sure that both of the Alarms are off:
-- Go to Extras==>Clock==>Alarm==>Make sure it is set to off
-- Go to Extras==>Calendar==>Make sure that alarm is set to off

I checked on my ipod mini that was being charged and every once in awhile it beeps four times. Does this mean the battery is almost dead for good? What's going on?

have u dropped the mini just before this problem appeared if not that probley means u needs to replace the mini battery cause its prolly lost mot of it charge cuase of charge cycles and age

IPod Mini Beeps then Freezes

Alright. I havent had my iPod a year. Just today I was trying to put some Christmas songs on it. And it said that the copy failed. Then, although my iPod was connected to my computer and was charging, it said that it had no power. Then started beeping twice, then a pause, 2 more beeps ect. Then it shut off and the charge meter comes up. But it freezes at 1/4 of the way instead of constantly moving. When I reset it (soft) iTunes said it was a new iPod. Please reply A.S.A.P. Thank You!!!

IPod Mini Beeping!!!!!

About 3 minutes ago, I wis sitting here at my PC, and suddenly I hear this noise
dada *Higher pitch* dada *and then lower pitch like the first one* dada
This is freaking me out, it's happened TWICE now.
My iPod was oFF with the hold switch on on, so I couldnt accidentally turn it on.
I have nfi what's going on, and to be quiet honest I'm scared...
any ideas?!

Just would like to know, why my ipod mini seem does not sync with iTunes program.I can't see my ipod in iTunes.
It only show the battery is charging.

Ipod mini could not restore

i can't understand why my ipod mini can't restore it's factory settings. i tried everthing but it says "ipod could not be restored. an unknown error occured (1418)." what's happening. i can use it and all files still intact but when i connect it to the computer it just doesn't show.. HELP!!! thanks

Look the dock connector on your iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corred contacts, foreign material and cracked/broken plastic.
Try:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears..
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod

IPod mini stops playing and beeps!!

My iPod mini will be playing a song, then it will just stop playing and start beeping in this weird pattern. The display still shows that music is playing, but it doesn't start playing until I reset it. Then sometimes the sad iPod will show up and I have restored it 3 times now and this is still happening... is it shot??

Thankyou for responding. So here's what happened. This procedure passes a pl/sql table of records as one of its output parameters which I pick up and pass to another service that accepts this pl/sql table as input. Now, we decided to change the structure of the pl/sql table of records - basically just added few more parameters to it. So after this was done I went ahead and regenerated both of my pl/sql procedure adapters based services using the "Edit with Adapter Configuration Wizard' . After this I started facing the above mentioned problem.

My reformatted iPod mini is cutting off tracks early - WHY?

I've had my 4GB ipod mini since 2005. I used it with a PC for years, but recently bought a macbook so reformatted my ipod. Since reformatting, it has started chopping off the ends of tracks - sometimes 5-10 seconds before the end of the track, other times over a minute early. It skips onto the next track each time.
I have checked that the track playlength times match up, and that the songs play correctly in itunes. Is this a sign that the hard drive is giving up on me?

See doing the following helps
For Mac computer
1. Open the disk utility, hope your iPod appears there (left hand side), highlight it
2. Go to Tab “Partition”, click either “Delete” or “Partition”, if fails, skip this step and go to 3
3. Go to Tab “Erase” , choose Volume Format as “MAC OS Extended (Journaled), and click Erase, again if fails, skip it and go to 4
4. Same as step 3, but open the “Security Options....” and choose “Zero Out Data” before click Erase. It will take 1 to 2 hours to complete.
5. Eject your iPod and do a Reset
6. Open the iTunes 8 and click “Restore”

Crazy ipod mini is clicking. . .why???

i am currently using my second ipod mini (the one sent as a replacement for my first defective ipod mini), and it is worse than the first. first of all, the thing freezes, so i plug it into the computer first and then to an outlet when the computer won't recognize the mini. furthermore, it seems to be cycling and won't respond to any attempts i have made to reset it. and to top it all off, it is clicking the whole time it is cycling from apple icon . . . to sad mini icon . . . to apple icon again . . .and an occasional flash of a battery & yield sign icon. what should i do now ??????? how can i fix this????? please help
