please help me recover all my contacts that was deleted for some reasons i don't know

Hi, these contacts were transferred from my mobile sim contacts and manually entered over a period of time. Haven't really synced contacts for at least a year.

How can I set up my devices so that when I connect to iTunes with my phone (either through USB or wireless connect) that the contacts will sync both ways. I need my contacts to get from my phone to my computer "address book". At this time it only works one way. I do not use iCloud (too old a computer).

I have the same problem. I have Itunes Match, I have the same accounts on Iphone and Mac, but purchases of songs on iPhone are not transfering to itunes.
I already tried "File > Transfer purchases from iPhone" but didn't work either. I also updated iTunes Match, but no results yet.

I am new to Apple products but have a delima...my stepson transferred contacts from his old phone to the new one then started deleting the contacts on the old one only to find that they were being deleted from his new iPhone. Is there anyway to get all that back from "iCloud"? Very lost and confused. I'm hoping there is good news for us!

Welcome to the Apple community.
Unfortunately once you have deleted contacts from your iCloud account, there is no way to recover them from the iCloud account directly. If you have a backup of the contacts on a computer somewhere you may be able to recover them.

Why won't my week-old iPhone 5 work at all?

I've had this Iphone 5 for about a week now, finally got around to syncing a few songs and photos onto it today and once i did this it just stopped working.
I now can't open any app (including all the original ones that came with it), cant lock or turn off the phone, the home button only does the colour inversion thing when you press it 3 times. I can still swipe across to my other pages and change position of apps but still can't open them.
I tried to restore it but it just times out and I figure there must be something else i can do to fix it.
I assume that it's on the most recent operating system seeing as i only got a week ago.
Very annoying, if anyone can help me then you will forever be a fresh lord in my books... Cheers!!

Try resetting it: Hold down the Home and Power buttons until the Silver Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your issues are resolved.

If it was a discussion that you started and it was deleted for violations of the Terms of Use, the hosts will send you an email explaining why. Without having read the discussion, I can't say why but I can tell you that the most common reasons that discusions seem to get deleted are rants, speculation about Apple decsions about policy or products, explanations on how to circumvent DRM and personal attacks/outright rudeness.
Check for the email.

My Iphone 4 was charged all night but is saying it has no battery life

Ok this has happened many many times. I will have my phone plugged in to charge all night and when I wake up it says it has no battery. If I unplug it from the charger eventually it turns off and turns back on, that is in the past, and when it did, it would say the battery was fully charged. However, today it will not turn off. I have held down the home button and the button on top, held down the button on top, and unplugged it for over an hour so it would completely die. But nothing is helping. What causes my phone to do this? It is so frustrating. Please HELP ME!

You need to call your service provider, and ask them if your SIM card is activated.

I waited at least an hour with no change. Finally I unplugged my phone..iTunes wasn't responding.I rebooted my pc then tried the same thing again. Same outcome even though I let it "Back Up" for 7-8 hrs while I slept. Same Story............... iTunes 10.4.0.80 is the software I'm using. When my phone is 'plugged' in what I see on it's face is "Sync in Progress".....for hours!

Hi, when you open your contacts app on the iPhone you'll find in the upper left corner a new button called "Groups" that's where you'll find the groups that you added them. Otherwise you'll have to open the app to modify or add new groups.

Why iPhone only allows sync ALL contacts, not selected groups?

THE OBJECTIVE: To back up the names and phone numbers I've manually input into my iPhone.
THE MONKEY WRENCH: When I plug my iPhone 3g into my Powerbook, under the Info tab is a Contacts section. The Sync Address Book contacts box is checked, and below that box are two choices: All contacts or Selected groups. Computer will not allow me to choose Selected groups, nor can I check off "Put new contacts created on this iPhone into this group", which sounds like, if working properly, would all me to back up my iPhones names and numbers. Please help!

Step 1: Configure your iPhone for iCloud, go to Settings > iCloud and toggle the Contacts to Off. It will ask if you want to Keep your contacts that are present in your iPhone or Delete them. Delete only if you have a backup in your Mac or PC. We will be syncing your contacts again from your Mac or PC and upload it to iCloud.
Step 2: Now, sync contacts with iPhone using your Mac or PC.
Step 3: Next, go to Settings > iCloud and toggle the Contacts to On. This will Turn on the contacts again. You will get the following screen once you turn on the contacts under iCloud.

When I try to pull up old backups, I only see one from this morning and an old one from May 2012 when I still had my iPhone 3GS. I have not been using iCloud since it was set up improperly when I first switched to the 4S, the contacts weren't being synced AT ALL. visited the genius bar, they said I need a whole other appointment to visit them and solve that, I haven't had a chance to do that yet. Thus, I am backing up to iTunes.
This morning's sync/backup resulted in me losing most of my contacts, and for the contacts that remain, 99% of the phone numbers are gone. I can recover my calendar entries from this past week, but I don't know how I can recover all of them from my May 2012 backup.
Since I had a backup just last week, I'd like to just go back to it. But how? Or, is there another way to get my contacts restored? And why did they disappear? And what else may be gone that I just don't know about yet?
