that is unfair some people cant afford and ios 4.3 or higer
The app makers can make the apps for whatever they choose.
The 2nd gen ipod is almost 5 years old. This is very old in tech terms.

It would be nice if you could get a visual alert that you have new mail, just as you get for Voicemail and Texts.
I just spoke to a rep at Apple...they had me do a few things...first go into setting and then go to mail and then change fetch data from manually to 15 minutes, that did not work...what we did finally was to delete the mobile me account then take the airplane mode off for 20 seconds then put it back on then hit settings to general to reset to reset all settings...then we added the mobile me account back and it now notifies you when you have mail...I hope that helps....

With the new download previous purchases on ITunes, you can download all of your music, TV Shows, etc. Why cant you download movies that you have downloaded? I had a external hard drive that crashed and it had approx 20 movies that I paid for and downloaded off of ITurnes Why cant i download those?

How do I correct?I had the same problem but managed to fix it with Amy ; the apple advisor. Here are the steps!
First of all, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed. You can download it from here. These instructions will NOT work for iTunes 8, 9 or 10 anymore. If you’re unsure, just uninstall iTunes then re-install with the latest files.
Next, you need to manually copy the Mobile Device Support directory from a working machine to your Windows 7 computer. Luckily, I have conveniently provided these files for you. You can download them here:
64-Bit iTunes 11.0.2: Please click here to download this directory for 64-bit Windows.
32-Bit iTunes 11.0.2: Please click here to download this directory for 32-bit Windows.
Once you download that file, you need to Unzip it to this directory. IMPORTANT: Make sure you unzip the CONTENTS of the zip file, don’t just copy over the zip file:
32-Bit: Unzip to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple
64-Bit: Unzip to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
There are a large number of files in that directory, so it may take a little time, please be patient.
So, after unzipping, you should have a new folder “Mobile Device Support” in the Apple folder
64-BIT ONLY STEP: If you have 32-bit Windows, skip this step. It seems that Apple has put the “Drivers” in a separate location (don’t know why). You will need to download the drivers separately. Please click here to download the files for 64-bit Windows.
Once downloaded, you need to Unzip it to this directory. IMPORTANT: Make sure you unzip the CONTENTS of the zip file, don’t just copy over the zip file:

Next, we have to merge the registry entries that will install the Apple Mobile Device service.
First, download the registry entries that I have provided for you here:
64-bit iTunes 11.0.2: Click here to download the registry entries for 64-bit Windows.
32-bit iTunes 11.0.2: Click here to download the registry entries for 32-bit Windows.
After you download the registry entries ZIP file, unzip it to your desktop and double-click each to install it. Say “Yes” to any prompts or confirmations about adding it to the registry. There are 2 entries, make sure you click BOTH and add BOTH to the registry.
Now, we need to install the correct driver for your iPhone / iTouch. Windows 7 incorrectly identifies the device as a digital camera. To fix this:
- Plug in your iPhone / iTouch (don’t have iTunes loaded at this time)
- Go to Device Manager (Click Start, right-click Computer, then click Properties. In the window that appears choose “Device Manager” on the left)
- Scroll down and find “Apple iPod” or “Apple iPhone” or “Apple iTouch”. It will likely be under the “Portable Devices” category.IMPORTANT NOTE: If your device is already listed under “Universal serial Bus Controllers” and not Portable Devices, you can skip these steps and go to Step 7.
- Right-click the Apple device and choose “Update Driver Software…”
- Choose “Browse my computer for driver software” in the window that appears
- It will ask you for a location; you want to Browse to this folder (location is the same in 32 and 64 bit Windows):
32-bit and 64-bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
- Click Next
- It should find the driver for your device; let it install that driver
Once you complete these steps, reboot your computer. Once you reboot everything should work exactly as expected! -
I have replied to you three times now without reply. I DID NOT authorise a payment of £9.99 for NowTV. What is the solution to getting my money refunded. I think you assume I will go away after being Ignored. No I will not go away. I find now that you have DISABLED MY APPLE ID. Is this a punishment you use to anyone who takes up a stand against charges being made unauthorised on their account?. Please tell me why you have disabled my account. When will my account be restored? If not when will you refund ALL my purchases made to APPLE/ITUNES? I can then move on to another brand and hopefully better customer service. After reading articles regarding APPLE ID DISABLED it appears common practice from your company to DISABLE anyone's account if they question unknown charges. Why are certain videos that I have taken with my iPhone not supported by Aperture? That's weird. I expect that since both iPhone and Aperture are Apple products, file support should be seamless between the two.
Also, iPhone 4 does not appear as Camera Model in the metadata of the unsupported video file in Aperture . But other videos I have taken with the same iPhone 4 appear in Aperture and the Camera Model appears correctly. Why is that?Have you done some cleaning and cleared caches on your Mac? Maybe the com.apple.xpchelper.cache file is missing. Check the folder /System/Library/Caches/

The error, "Check that you have permission to write to the library directory." Displayed after trying to access a iPhoto Library from finder. Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.

Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, does an iTunes install go through properly now?

I bought the french audiobook J'accuse from S4BB and it simply doesn't work. I sought help from Blackberry and got the message that BB doesn't support 3rd party apps. I contacted S4BB, who by the way says they have a warranty on their apps, and got the email back that "for the issues and refund you would need to contact BlackBerry as the only way you can download to the playbook is through App World we do not have access to their system."
I have deleted the app and re-installed, uninstalled and re-installed, searched permissions (not listed there), and it simply does not work. It says "this file could not be opened check that you have the correct permissions and try again".
I put a warning comment on blackberry app world that the app doesn't work and that support is hard to get, and Blackberry has removed both the comment and the very low rating I have this. I found this to be the most disturbing part.
Is there anything I can do to either get this app to work, or get a refund on this app?
Also, why was this comment and rating deleted - this seems to be contrary to the nature of comment sections on apps and does not do a service to your customers who may download this app which doesn't work?Try right clicking on the installer and select run as administrator.

Every time I try and update to the latest version, I get an error messages saying to manually do it from tools menu. After doing that, I get an error message saying "error writing to file c:\config.msi\22be9d65.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory." I am the sole user on this computer and have full administrative rights to my computer. Why am I getting this? I REALY don't care if I upgrade or not but want to get rid of the stupid apple update crap that comes up everytime I turn my computer on. If there are no suggestiong on how to fix this issue, is there a way to turn apple update OFF?! I have Windows 7 Home Premium.
Are you running Kaspersky security software on that PC? (There's been a few reports in recent times of Kaspersky interfering with iTunes installs, with that message being produced.)
If there is Kaspersky on board, we should try some general-principles getting-past-security-software-interference troubleshooting.
Download and save a fresh copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (32-bit installer file) or iTunes64Setup.exe to your Hard drive. (Don't run the install on line, and don't start the install just yet.)

Restart the PC. After the PC restarts do not open any applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Now switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
