Why is it taking so long to back up my Ipod...it's been backing up for 14 hours now.

It shouldn't take this long. Close your iTunes and remove the device.
Try this,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
After restarting, you may get a prompt to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and Sync and see if it is working now.

I was also having this problem after having successfully used iTunes Match previously. The problem appears to be when there are two version of songs and one of them has the iCloud icon made using a dotted line. Here's what solved it for me:
1. Identify your duplicate files. I have a large library, so I elected to use Dupin Light (available on the Mac App store). I suppose I could have used iTunes duplicate finder too, but I prefer the flexibility of Dupin.
2. Once you have identified your duplicates, find them in iTunes. In my case Dupin identifed 50, from 19,000+ tracks, so for me it was not a large number to check manually.
3. When you find the duplicates, if one of them has the aforementioned dotted line iCloud icon, this is the one you need to delete. If you accidently delete the other version, you can always download it again if you have purchased it from iTunes. In any case, it seems to be the tracks with this icon that it is causing iTunes Match to stall, so you will need to delete all of these.
4. Once you have completed step 3, iTunes Match should not proceed and complete.

Why is it taking so long to restore my 4Gs?

I recently backed up my phone to my computer and restored the factory settings. I am now trying to restore the phone from the backed up info. Why is it taking so long? The longer it restores the longer the time to completion shows. Can I edit the information contained in the back-up file? For example not restore all the music files? Thank you

This is my first time I use iCloud to back up my phone. I purchased an additional 20GB for a total of 25GB of storage. According to my phone, I have 17.3 GB of free memmory. My question is this: Why is it taking so long to create a backup? My phone is reading "Backing Up" and "Estimating time remaining" for about 10 mins thus far and the progress bar is still at the original point it started 10mins ago. Hold the Power button until your MacBook turns off and turn it on again.
If you don't see anything on the MacBook's display and OS X is not starting up, reset the SMC > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 Then, turn on the Mac and hold the Shift key while your Mac is starting up to start up in safe mode, so you can start up your computer without loading other apps. After uninstalling the apps, restart again and see if OS X Mavericks can start up. If not, hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting and reinstall OS X. If this doesn't work, you will have to erase the drive.
I don't recommend you to install the Seagate apps, as you probably don't need them

I am facing the same problem. I jsut purchase LR 5 upgrade, and am trying to download it. However, it says it takes 8 hours to download?? I have sufficient disk space, so why is this taking so long? It also says there is approx 504 MB for LR 5...

Cancel the downloads and reset the iPad (Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts off. Ignor the off slider. Then turn the iPad back on). Go back to the Purchased screen in the I.tunes app and redownload. You may want to down load one at a time.

Some product downloads are up to 1.6GB; that can take some time - very much depending on your Internet connection. Check http://www.download-time.com/
For a test, I just downloaded Illustrator CC 2014 (1.6 GB), and the download completed within 13 minutes (and I am 10,000 km away from the Adobe download servers).
Try downloading from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2014-direct-download-links.html - make sure you follow the Very Important Instructions on that page.

Yes, I was able to finally download two out of three of my applications. I waited three hours to get two pieces of software, and I still need to download one more application.
While talking to the customer service department in India, I was told that I could not get help in bypassing my slow Internet connection. Even though I have been a loyal and law abiding customer for thirteen years, Adobe's customer service department treated me like a piece of crap. All I wanted to do is get my applications on cd, so I can bypass the buggy and long downloading periods. I tried desperately to explain: (1) I have been a loyal customer for thirteen years, (2) I bought and committed to a yearly subscription, (3) I have followed Adobe's legal rules since day one, (4) I have no problems with the software's DRM, and (5) I love and support Adobe products.
Regardless about how much I sympathized with Adobe's position, I could not get your customer service department to 'care about me'. I walked away feeling depressed and defeated.
As a result of going through a horrible customer service experience, while also struggling with the change to cloud, I started to think about a change in career. Why do I want to be a graphic and web designer? I spent a crap load of money on an education, so that I can become a slave to the industry's dominate software maker. And what specifically? You need to provide much more info. anyway, if the extraction takes longer than half an hour, start over or manualyl extract the files from teh 7z archive using WinZip or WinRar.

about 40 mins if you think it's stuck in a loop stop it and start again
i I always download over wifi don't use a PC for iOS downloads
