Why is it that apple has no way to supporting Apple TV issues while Netflix has a number you can call at any time?

Another reason may well be that, this is all Netflix do. If Apple had phone support for the iTunes Store, there would be all sorts of people calling up to find out what sort of lead they should get to connect their camera to their computer and other such completely unrelated questions.

    If the headphones are the Apple EarPods, it does not work with the 3rd gen shuffle (the remote control buttons do not work). 
    As an alternative, you can get an adapter like this one (there are several similar products)

    There are a number of third-party apps that offer handwriting support. If you are asking why Apple has not implemented handwriting as a standard feature of iOS, no one here will know, though clearly avoiding the need for a stylus is a design decision Apple made a long time ago. You can suggest handwriting support as a standard feature to them here, if you wish:

    Has anyone seen any kind of acknowledgment from Apple that there even is a problem? It is clear from the outcry across this and other boards that this latest version is negatively affecting a considerable amount of users. But I still haven't seen Apple apologize and reassure us that they are trying to fix the problem. If they have and I just missed it, could you please point me to the light. I'd like to know this is temporary.
    I've always been impressed with iTunes. I never had any problems installing or using any of the versions...until I installed 7.0.2.16. Then everything seemed to go wrong.
    I can't import cds...they don't even show up after I insert them. I can't add or import files at all anymore. Tracks skip for the first few seconds if any other programs are running. And some tracks purchased from iTunes are gone.

    Glad you asked.
    I completely removed 7, Quick Time and all iPod applications. After running a search for itunessetup.exe, I discovered I still had an earlier version 6.0.5.20 which I then installed. It seemed like a successful installation but I received the response:
    The file "iTuneslibrary.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.
    iTunes wouldn't even open. Rather than immediately uninstall, I went for the repair option. Again, it stated a success...but I still could not open iTunes.
    So maybe my reasoning that an earlier version could be reinstalled was faulty. I uninstalled everything again...being sure to follow every step meticulously...made sure I had a clean slate...and then installed the latest version again.
    Every problem I had remained.
    BTW, I wasn't expecting to see Apple respond in this forum. I was asking if a statement had been made addressing the many issues plaguing users and if so, can someone point me to it. On the other hand, I own a successful business and if I knew my product or service was causing a great number of people grief, I would be in here finding out what their problems are and addressing them if not individually in some kind of a statement acknowledging and reassuring my customers, to whom I am eternally grateful, that "we are doing everything we can to fix this." There is absolutely no antagonism here. I'd just sincerely like to know if they've done that.

    Apparently I typed my entire question into the subject line without knowing what I was doing!
    I want to FULLY download selections from YouTube before attempting to view them. Just like you can select to fully download the samples of songs from iTunes. I am sick of the **** YouTube video going in and out, especially when I'm also downloading something else at the same time!
    Please tell me how to set this 'preference,' if there is a way!

    Sounds like you did this on the fly.
    MM is supposed to open the Marker Panel Dialogue
    M just sets a marker
    Not sure if either are intended for on the fly during playback .

  • How can I revert back to version 5.1 from 6.1. Bluetooth support told me that version 6.1 is not supported. I highly doubt it. My voice recognition reconizes " Call my wife command".

    I just bought a new car. Hyundia Hybrid. My bluetooth is not Reconizing my command to call a contact. I've been back to the dealer and no luck. When speaking to Bluetooth support directly he doesn't see Version 6.1. and suggested going back to Version 5.1 which is documented to be compatable with my Iphone 4s.
    I doubt it because  voice recognition takes the command " Call  Wife" Can I revert back to 5.1 without clearing my phone back to origional settings?

    I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice.

    Hi Matt, thanks for your reply.  Have realised that Zoom in Iphoto is just  a viewing tool and not an editing tool.
    Was creating beautiful abstractions by zooming in and wanted to create a new image of the result.   Have since discovered that cropping after zooming takes me a little way to where I want to go but it isn't the same effect.  Will perhaps have to try to create it when actually shooting.  Am doing a photoshop course in February and maybe will learn a bit more then, too.  Am pretty much an amateur just finding my way.

    What is it with Netflix and IPad that I have to open over and over again b/c it kept on shutting it off when trying to select movies from it's selection. It is sooo frustrating! That is the main reason why I purchased this IPad in the first place. Is it me or other have similar xperience? Is there anything that need to do?

    Are you trying to access NetFlix movies through Safari?  If you are, this is why you are experiencing problems.  Instead, you need to go to the App Store and download the NetFlix App, sign in your account in the App and watch all you want.

    My iPod has no trouble connecting to my wifi connection, but never stops loading. The wifi bars appear at the top of the iPod, but when you get further details on the wifi network, no IP address is logged; neither is the router number or the DNS number. My iPod registers that a wifi connection exists, but it can't hook up to it to use the internet. Does anyone know what is wrong?
