Why is it that Mozilla is too dumb to never include a feature, in any new version, with "new window" and "new tab" that copies our visited pages for us like "new window" on IE does?
Okay, so in IE, when you click "New Window," you get a new window... but not only that, what comes with that is all your previously visited pages from that session. It's helpful because then if you need to copy or compare something from one page you've already visited to one that you're on now, you can have them side-by side, or as in the case with tabs, single-click-by-single-click.
So why don't you ever make that simple but useful feature for your browser, Mozilla?
Right, okay, but we shouldn't have to do that if Mozilla would just get a clue, right? So my real question is this: Why can't Mozilla just make that themselves like Microsoft does?
Maybe Firefox works a bit better than IE except in this regard and with one scrolling problem I just discovered. Am I right?

I have some trouble with Safari!
Everytime i google something, I expect safari to open the link i click in the same window and same tab - as it did before - but now it always opens a new tab! I'm getting really tired of that! Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit. -
The "+" appears on the left side of the open tabs, when I re-open a closed window. The tab that should be first on the left when the window is re-opened doesn't have a tab! If all the other tabs are closed, the webpage appears, but still has no tab! If more tabs are then opened, it is again inaccessible without closing all tabs!
In Finder, go command - F. On the top left set "Kind" to Date Created, finish selecting the criteria and hot "Save" on the top right. You'll get a new smart folder with an option to add it to the sidebar.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes Version 11.4.1 and still cannot access. I continue to get the Error 7 Windows Error 193 and now I am getting the Apple Mobile Device failed to start. I can't access any of my music I HAVE PURCHASED. What to do?
I am getting the same error message - error 7, Windows error 193 running iTunes on a PC Laptop (HP) which has been running iTunes previously for at least 2 years.
I followed the Apple support page and uninstalled (in order) all Apple programmes specified, rebooted, then re-installed. Two additional errors crop up in re-installation, the first one is to do with Apple Mobile Support Device Services. It seems that this might be rectified by plugging in said devices before finishing the re-install. The second reads iTunesHelper was not installed correctly please re-install iTunes. This persists. I cannot uninstall iTunesHelper using the Control Panel, but I can delete it using Windows. However, after re-installing again, it still won't run and the original error comes back. I've downloaded and uninstalled 15 times now and this is taking far too long to be acceptable. -
When updating my IOS 5.1.1 to IOS 6 and after the download completed the updating of the iphone couldn't be completed for unknown error and the device froze and all i have now is a black screen with an apple and a meter that shows no progress I can't switch off my iphone or do anything!!!

I had a similar problem last week with my nice shiny 3 week old iPhone 6. I noticed the Apple logo was on the screen, but it did not progress like a normal boot up. I restarted the phone, and it showed the Apple logo, then a red screen then cycled back to the logo and kept looping. I got the phone to the iTunes connection stage by keeping hold of the power button and the home button until the apple logo appeared then kept holding the home button. iTunes recognised the phone, and wanted to restore, but this was unsuccessful because the phone would keep looping to the red screen and iTunes failed. After loads of Apple support, I was told it was a hardware failure, and like you I live more than an hour away from the store. None the less, I made an appointment with the Genius bods, and they replaced the phone. They said they had never heard of the problem, but really, take a look at these forums and you will see that it is a common problem and I suspect they are keeping it under wraps...
My issue is that as a disappointed customer with faulty goods, why should i have to stick to an appointment to get it replaced? What other store would you have to do this?
The "Genius" didn't even want to see the phone powered up before offering a replacement... Oh, and it turned out they didn't have the exact same model as a replacement so they were going to send me out of the store empty handed.... I kicked off BIG time, and they very reluctantly gave me a phone from the sales stock, rather than the repairs stock..
Not a happy Apple customer anymore, and I feel the more people who know about the lack of service and customer care the better. They need to get off there high horse and join the real world! -
I backed up my Iphone to itunes so i can do the new Update to IOs 7 and so now that i updated it i want to backup and restore and its not working, Please help!
An iPhone backup to a computer via iTunes stores the photos in a backup file that is only meant to be be used if needed to restore back to the phone. There is 3rd party "extractor" software available but otherwise the photos are not directly viewable.
The backup via iTunes was a good idea and your Camera Roll photos should be there and should be able to be restored to your new phone. However if it was me I wouldn't rely on that alone. I would also import the photos to a computer where you can see and verify that you have a copy. That is a good idea at any time (not just when you know you might need it). Any phone can be lost, broken, suffer hardware issues, etc at any time and lose all data on it. Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
My firefox on my lap top (with windows 7) cannot login to my e mail website with a username and password, without first clearing the history ? my other computer has windows xp and it works fine.
I simply reinstalled fire fox 3.6.19 and I can login no problem. Seems like it could be a compatability problem between 5.0 and windows 7. One other thing that happened often was lag while playing mmorpg games. Not sure if this fixed it or not, but I can update this thread when i find out.

The problem i am facing is as follow:-
when a user click on an Excel sheet or Visio document , it will be shown inside the browser without any problem.
but if the user click on "Open in Visio" OR "Open in Excel" links inside the browser, they will get the following errors:-

Please try to reset the Internet Explorer settings or open Internet Explorer in In-Private browsing and then check if this issue occurs.
If the issue persists, please try to access SharePoint in another computer with Office 2013 and then check if this issue occurs. Or repair Office and restart your server.

If you have given correct info about you ios 6.1.3 - all you need to do is delete account. You will be able to sign in with new one afterwards. Make sure you don't delete any info when you see those prompts.

How to fix privacy and extensions tab that are blank (using Safari 5.1.7)
I have looked at the help provided in this forum for fixing the privacy and extension tabs that happen to now be blank. However, being new to a mac, I was not able to follow those instructions. If anyone can give me some help/guidance, I would really appreciate it. Also, what exactly does the privacy tab do? Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2. -
Since I'd installed the new version of iTunes, iCal and Address book do not sync with my iPhone 3GS through iTunes anymore and I get an error message stating that iTunes can not sync with this iPhone. Was must i do to correct this issue and if i must, how dI reintall iTunes without loosing my content?

I need help in resolving a problem that prevents me from accessing the iTunes store. Message reads " iTunes cannot contact the iTunes store" and also says that my laptop is no longer authorized to access my account. Help!
Go up to the top of your screen on iTunes and click on 'Store'. Then go down to 'Authorize This Computer'. That should cover part of it unless you've already authorized a bunch of other computers to use your account. If that's the case, you'll have to go to one of those computers and click the button just below it to 'deauthorize your account' from that computer. If you're not able to access the store, check your internet connection to make sure you are connected. Hope this helps.. good luck!
