Interfaces contain polymorphic methods. Static methods are not polymorphic, and therefore would not make any sense to be in interfaces.

It probably means you don't have enough available storage on your phone. It takes space to store the download - THEN unpack it. Best method is to use a computer with iTunes (This allows you to back up on your computer as well).
PLEASE: Do not purchase iCloud storage space - this will not give you more room for the iOS 7.1 installation.

Maybe the document is corrupted. Can you open other Pages documents? Preview may open it. Right click (or control click) on the document in Finder and Open With > Preview.
If that works, Edit > Select All, Edit > Copy. Then paste into a blank Pages document. Formatting may be messed up, but you will have editable text. Then Save (with a different name), close and see if you can open the new document.

I just downloaded the newest update for mountain lion. After downloading any restarting for installation, I got a message stating that the update cannot be installed due to an error. Yet when I check I have version 10..8.3 and safari version 6.0.3, which the update was for. Does this mean that the update is iinstalled and the message was incorrect?

Good timing! Oh well, at least you shouldn't have to update again for a while. It will be nice kickstarting your Mac with the very latest System Update knowing any hiccups from 10.8.2 would have been ironed out if they were going to affect your workflow at all.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the installation again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

Log in to the Developer forum. You will find instructions on how to install the lastest beta. Your problem is the beta you have installed has expired. All of them did on October 5; you will find hundreds of threads discussing this. If you have a beta it is assumed that you will continue as a beta tester, so a simple update using iTunes will not work.
If you no longer want to be a beta tester install the GM 7.0.2 by restoring from iTunes using DFU mode.

WIFi needs to enabled and you need to be connected to a network. Alternatively, you need Cellular Data to be "on". (Settings>General>Network). But it propably is a problem with your router (at least, it often is with me), provided you are using your private router. Try schutting it off and turning it on again. This usually sorts problems like this out.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

All of a sudden, a "!" has appeared in front of a lot of my iTunes songs and it says that the original cannot be found. What happened? And what do I do now?

A week ago, I was burning CDs, no problem. This week, I tried to burn a CD from the same playlist, but all of the songs now have a "!" in front of the title. When I click on it, it says that the original cannot be found. More and more of the songs are having this same "!" showing up. What happened? And how do I get the music back? There are thousands of songs with this "!"!!!!! And, I'm a music teacher, so this is my life!

The ! Means that the link is broken between what is shown in the Library and where the file is located. You will need to relink the items. You can search you HD to see where the files are located then use CMD-O to relink.
Did you move any items using the Finder?
iTunes is a data base manager and if you move items outside of the iTunes interface then iTunes might not keep track/find the move.

Blackberry Curve 9300 Imported. Operator states that the device cannot be found?

Hi,
I am in South Africa and have recently purchased a BlackBerry 9300. It appears that this phone is an import as it is not branded with any of the local branding, meaning the bootup logo and background.
I hiae tried to get the BIS activated on this phone. For some reason when I register the host routing table (shows no entries) I do not recieve any confirmation sms and no service books are pushed to the phone. When i called to query this with my operatorr (Vodacom) they told me that from my side they cannot pick up the phone at all. The only has record of another blackberry that I was using and even after giving them my imei and pin they said that from there side it seems that the device cannot be found when they tried to manually add it to the network. Other than that, they were not able to provide me with any real solution as to why this is or how it can be solved.
Would anyone be able to provide me with some information regarding why this phone cannot be BIS registered to my network or why I do not get registration confirmation when registering the host routing table along with no service books being pushed to the device?
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

A recent download of an iTunes update, for some unknown reason, failed on my computer. Since then I get a system error message everytime I log on telling me that the program cannot be opened because 'MSVCR80.d11' is missing from my computer. When I try to open iTunes I get an 'error 7 (Windows error 126)' message and am advised to reinstall iTunes. However, when I attempt to do this, it downloads the programme and gets as far as installation, at which point I get yet another message: this time 'Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start'.
I am at a loss to know what to try next and would appreciate any assistance. I'm also concerned that, in the process of reinstalling iTunes, I am going to lose all the music I have collected over the years.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Did you reinstall Aperture recently or try to open a library created on a different system?
Check the version of your Aperture Library (reveal the Library in the Finder and select it, the Preview or Get Info shuld show you the Version of the Library.)
If your Aperture 3 Version is not the current Version 3.2.1, but your Library is, then update Aperture to the current version.
If on the other hand both Versions are identical, then check if you have a second, older Aperture version installed. Deinstall the older version or make your most recent Aperture version the active one, by selecting your Aperture Library in the Finder, opening File-Get Info on the LIbrary and setting the "Open With" to your current Aperture Version.
