In Vista you need to look for the Users folder, then open the AppData folder. Then open the Local folder and delete the Temp folder.
You ran MS Installer Cleanup? No dont know how
You deleted corrupted or incorrect registry keys No dont know how

i did but its still only picking up some of the photos. For eg, 1 folder had 147 pics but iTunes is only picking up 17. Can't seem to understand why. They were all taken on the same day using the same camera with the same settings.

Why does iTunes not refresh the Music Library if files are updated?

What if have already a nice library SYSTEM built for my music, and every time I add 30-50 files to 30-50 different locations, iTunes requires me to add the same song again... What if I am doing this updating for 3 hours and I can't remember anymore which songs I added to my Brazilian compilation folder? Why can't iTunes update the library with added files? I see this question popping up on a lot of forums. This is very cumbersome. I keep my international music collection organized by country of origin. If I let iTunes consolidate my music, it will put everything into one big folder organized by name of artist. I definitely don't want to let the program do that. I would lose all my work and all my system.
Once I imported the folder system into iTunes though as a reference, it does not recognize if there was a change, music added, music deleted, music reogranized. It doesn't make sense to delete everything from the iTunes Music Library every time I update my music collection.
Where is the solution? I want iTunes to find the changes and apply it to my Music Library automatically.
I can live with my iPod only having the files in one big library, since I mostly use it for shuffle play anyway, but I want to keep my originals in an orderly manner based on style, country of origin, etc. I don't want to end up having all my files renamed and moved.
So I need iTunes to refresh my Music Library by looking at the original folder I imported the list from, and make the necessary changes.

I guess then this is a serious shortcoming of iTunes... Up till this point I owned an RCA Lyra MP3 player and it had no problems whatsoever doing these things. I guess, after seeing how iTunes and iPod works, I'd rather return to Lyra if it had an 80 G version. The only thing that still keeps me with iPod is the capacity.
It seems like that iTunes is a very cumbersome program and it tries to be so much user friendly that it even tries to eliminate the human element. Sometimes, it makes sense to keep files organized in specific manner. Especially when there is work involved and productivity.
I guess I will just delete everything from the play list and read in the main folder every once in a while, leaving the machine working on it during the night or something, then another night, it will refresh my iPod. That's the only solution I see right now.
It is interesting that a huge program like iTunes cannot do what a small one like Lyra can. And I even read in user groups that some people created programs for this problem, but those programs don't work with iTunes 7 well yet, so I am stuck with the manual updating or the brutal deletion and re-reading.
Thank you for the answer. At least I know what not to expect from the program. I just use it for only one purpose: load music onto iPod, then forget about it. It quite an unuseful program for me otherwise.

I recently had to reinstall my software for a
dell computer a dell latitude d 830, then after installing all of my software and such including itunes the player did well even record to disks with no problems now that my system has done alot of updating of system files....now the itunes does not burn to my cd...error message 2131 this time ..this has occurred several times on this sytem and and as well as other system this one has window vista 64 bit home prem. why is the itunes not working to burn my disks
it worked fine before the updates to the system and the itunes software is up dated as well...can someone suggest something

The 2131 usually indicates firmware needs to be updated on a drive.
Head to your drivers and downloads page for your latitude at Dell, and check for updates to your firmware for your optical drives. If you're behind and you update, does that clear up the 2131?

I am trying to create a slideshow which I have got to work with a button to go to the next state but have selected auto play in the hope it will run without clicking the button. It doesn't seem to work in preview or when the swf file is generated. Am I missing something?

Are you referring to the preview panel in ID? That is SWF only and
should not be relied on for DPS output.
Test it in the Adobe Content Viewer.
If you're actually generating SWF you're in the wrong forum and AFAIK,
this is not supported in SWF

After reviewing your post, it sounds like it does not recognize that iTunes is installed. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read this article, Don't uninstall these components in a different order, or only uninstall some of them.

Unknown error code 13014 on iTunes 8.0.2-genius play list function is dead

After I upgraded my PC, I copied old libraries and music files from the old hard drive to the new one. I installed the newest version of iTunes (8.0.2) and when I plugged in my ipod, I saw something I had never seen. Guess what it is?
'Unknown error code 13014!'
I had no problems for using every function that my iPod touch and iTunes have (including Genius play list) and of course, I've been updating every version of firmwares and iTunes programs. After I googled about this incident, I figured out this problem should not be seen on the newest version of iTunes but I'm still suffering from it.
Temporally, I turned off Genius Play List and now, that error code doesn't pop up but of course, I can not use Genius Play list because of it.
I *uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes*, *restored firmware*, *moved Library Extras & Genius.itdb* and *do them again and again*. Of course, *none of them worked*.
What shall I do? Is there anyone else who is experiencing same thing to me? How can I get my Genius Play List function back?
Please Help me. I'm desperate. :<

We have the same problem! i just purchased an ipod touch and that same error kept popping up. so i searched, and disabled the Genius, and now i can't use it. im really mad. and sad.

Why will iTunes not play certain MP3s?

I have a lot of music, and most of the music files are .mp3s.
iTunes lets me import the great majority of these files, some of these won't play in iTunes and so also can't be put onto my iPod.
I tried to convert the files using various software and even Adobe Audition can't open the files.
I can't see why this is happening and the only way these files can be sorted is when you hover over the files with cursor and no information about them appears such as the song title, album title, or bit rate etc... and they cannot be renamed.
VLC player can play them however.
If anybody can tell me what is going on and how I could go about getting them on iTunes that would be great.
Any help is appreciated.

Windows Media Player can't open the file either.
Have you got any suggestions for file conversion programs, I have tried Total Video Converter and Adobe Audition but they can't even open the file never mind convert it.
Knowing that VLC can play it gives me some hope that it can be converted somehow, but nothing I have tried has worked.

HT5772 How do you delete a movie from a local computer without deleting it from the library? This should be such a simple procedure, but it's not. And while we're at it, why is iTunes NOT one of the dropdown product choices?

All Apple support says about deleting movies from a computer is that you "should" be able to re-download it if you live in the right area. Well, I'm in the U.S.A. and just deleted one of the movie extra features exactly as described in the support directions. According to Apple I should be able to re-download this from the cloud at any time, but now I no longer even see the title listed. That's why I wanted to test their support statements with a Movie Extra instedad of a real movie. This should be the simplest of tasks to manage, yet they make it extremely difficult. Why? I own the movies and I want them to stay in my iTunes library basically forever. Makes sense, right? But, I only have so much room on my laptop to store movies that I want to have with me on long trips, etc. So if I only have the space to store 3 or 4 movies on the disk, shouldn't I have the ability to every once in a while delete one of those movies from my local computer ONLY, NOT my library, so that I can download a different movie? Yet the first thing iTunes does when you hit the delete key is tell you that it will remove the movie forever from all devices and the library. So why does support say you can download again any time from the cloud then? The worse part is, the calamity doesnt stop there. Wait until you see the message you actually get once you say that yes, you do want to delete the movie (but only because you assume that you really can download it again sometime). Here is the exact 2 messages you get from Apple, in the same popup box.
Do you want to move the selected movie to the Recycle Bin, or keep it in the iTunes Media Folder?
Only files in the iTunes Media Folder will be moved to the Recycle Bin.

Is that the most confusing popup or what? Who develops this kind of software?!?!?!
I have tried it both ways and the only difference is that the file shows up in the Recycle Bin or doesn't. But in both cases the file name no longer shows in the movie list, so I don't know how to re-download it from the Cloud. Better hey, if I clicked "Keep File", where is it? I can't see it anywhere, so where is it kept and what can I actually do with it?
I have to be honest, I love my iPhone and some of the neat features, but when it comes to iTunes, I have never seen a more difficult piece of software to use in my life... and I'm a software developer. Your Support documentation is actually more confusing than the softwae itself, it's almost as if you don't want people to use the software, just simply buy stuff and listen/watch it, but nothing else. Seriously, this is the most cumbersome, unfriendly piece of software I've ever seen. Seriously disappointed in Apple iTunes and it's never really gotten any better over time. This is one of the primary reasons I have never moved all of my recording studios and office operations over to an Apple platform. Hardware and phones are awesome, but your software is either grossly incompetent or intentionally designed to make it all but impossible to use. Either way, it's worthless to me. We're talking about software that does nothing else but manage media that I already own on multiple devices. That should be one of the simplest things in the world to do. Sad... very sad.

iTunes prefs > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
This will show all your iTunes purchases in your library with a cloud icon down arrow. Click the icon to redownload or click on Play to stream without downloading.

FYI: You should keep copies of all yoru iTnue spurahses as the labels/movie studios/copyright owners can pull their product at anytime and it won't be available to redownload.
