Why is iTunes showing foriegn characters as boxes?

My iTunes has foriegn characters as boxes everytime I attempt to enter them. This seems to be a new occurance for me. Any help?

Even weirder. On my iPad if I click on the $1.99 button it says, "You've already purchased this. Do you want to purchase it again?"
Why doesn't it just let me download it?

Skype Showing Special Characters as Boxes []

Just less than an hour ago, I had a problem with some virus-extensions. I did necessary uninstallments and downloaded Adwere to make sure the extensions are gone for good. Once I've done so, Adwere uninstalled many different files. So far, no problem with anything in Skype. Except my name and other special characters.
Like, now some Japanese/Chinese/Korean ETC. characters are showing as boxes. What bothers me the most is my name. It used to be (づ｡◕‿‿◕｡)づ but now it shows like this: http://puu.sh/cndAy/f9f6c721dc.png . I'd like to keep the same font, Tahoma (8 points) because it has been the same always and my name and other characters in my friends' names ETC. where always shown. So any solution instead of changing fonts/installing fonts is appreciated because I'm so used to Tahoma's look on the many years I used Skype and don't want any change.

You're right that whitespace doesn't show as squares anymore (I think they did in the past), but everything else seems OK.
Why don't you try something like this and prove for yourself:

Why is iTunes showing a TV show's price instead of "download"?

I purchased a TV show on my Mac in iTunes 10.5.
On my iPad running iOS 5 I should be able to just download the show (as I have done before). It's the same iTunes account.
But instead, I'm only offered an option to purchase it for $1.99. Why aren't I being shown the "download" button instead?
Is there a time lag between the time I purchase on my Mac before signing in with my iPad indicates it has been purchased and can just be downloaded?

Why does iTunes show tracks that I've ripped from a single CD as individual tracks with individual albums all with the same album name?

I've looked all the data about each track in terms of album name and other seemingly relevant pieces of stuff, but whenever I look at my songs by albums, it still shows these tracks individually. It's like the same album is repeated over and over instead of the album appearing once with all the tracks listed beneath it.

You can edit the "metadata" of the tracks in the cloud just as you would if the tracks were physically on your computer. Hightlight the tracks of the album you want to edit, do a Get Info..., edit "metadata," click OK.

Why is iTunes showing me the "Data DVD" option when I clearly want to make an mp3 CD

Good day, I've been able to make mp3 cds without any hassle in the past with my iTunes, but after a recent update it makes Data dvds even when I clearly choose the "mp3 cd" option. All the songs are MPEG Audio files. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When the OP states he has MP3 files and wants to make an MP3 CD, I'm taking a "wild guess" that is what he wants to do.
He has done so in the past. Whatever he has done previously is not working the same way. He needs to clarify what is or is not happening.
MPEG-1 (/2), layer 3 = MP3. MPEG is not synonymous with MP3
But MPEG audio file, as noted by the OP is synonymous with MP3 when looking at Kind in iTunes.

He is not attempting to encode to MP3. He wants to burn an MP3 CD. Selecting to burn an MP3 disc does not re-encode any files.
It simply burns only the MP3 files in a playlist to a standard data disc.
If you select Audio CD, the files do get reencoded to LPCM (the standard which an audio CD uses).

He is attempting to burn an MP3 CD. If you select to burn MP3 CD and there are no MP3 files in the playlist, iTunes will simply tell you there are no MP3 files in the playlist. You won't get any errors.

Why isn't there an option to record future shows using the HD box linked to a Multi room DVR setup?

I have a multi room DVR in my livingroom and HD boxes in my 2 bedrooms. Currently if you are viewing a program on one of the HD boxes you are able to record the live program you are viewing as the HD box will enable your DVR to record that show.
Why hasn't FIOS enabled the settop boxes that are part of a multi room DVR setup to be able to record future shows? Needless to say, if I am lying in bed at night and see something in the program guide airing at a future date I really don't want to get out of bed and walk to the living room, turn on the TV and DVR and then program that new recording.
If I have missed something and you can do this please let me know. Otherwise FIOS should add this to their customer's wish list and enable recording for future times on the HD boxes that are part of your multi room DVR system!

You can already do that. Highlight the show in the guide and press the record button. You should get a pop up with the option to Set Reminder or Record on your DVR. If it doesn't check your DVR to ensure that availability is extended to the STB you are using.

When I sync movies from itunes (imac osx) the movie itself shows up as a box but no title shows. Doesen't matter if its purchased or just done from imovie.

Chinese characters show up as white boxes when doing captions

I am using Premiere Pro CC 2014 on a late 2013 MacBook Pro. I am trying to add Traditional Chinese subtitles to my video. I have imported a .dfxp file and added it to the timeline on V2 above my video track on V1. I have rendered the timeline. I have activated the closed captioning display. When I view the .dfxp file in the Captions Window, I can see the Chinese characters in the text boxes with their associated in and out points on the timeline. THE PROBLEM: IN THE PROGRAM MONITOR WINDOW, THE CHINESE CHARACTERS SHOW UP AS WHITE BOXES INSTEAD OF THE CHINESE CHARACTERS.
I have added all of the available Chinese fonts from Adobe Typekit. I have restarted Premiere to see if adding these fonts did anything to help. It did not. My question: how can I get the Chinese characters to appear instead of the white boxes?

Select you device from the left sidebar of iTunes and navigate to the Photos tab at the top. Do you have the Sync Photos With checkbox checked and set to iPhoto?
