Why is Messages in iOS 8.1 continuing to crash/freeze?
I have a iPhone 6 Plus with 128 gb of storage and the iOS Messages app freezes/crash on a very frequent basis. I have noticed this on occasion with other apps like iTunes player, Safari and Mail. But, iOS Messages is the worst offender. I do have two 3rd party keyboards installed (Swipe & Swiftly). When it freezes it seems I'm switching from another app that links to the messages app such as when I take a picture and then choose to share it and I select export to messages and then it will open and lock up. No keyboard is showing on many occasions and sometimes when it does open with a keyboard present, it will not allow me to type. I have to double click home and swipe the app closed and then launch again. This is way to frequent for me to wait for an update and I have done a force reinstall of the OS by plugging into my MBP with Yosemite and reboot phone holding the home key and power button. It hasn't improved at all since then. The only thing I haven't done is the preceding method and not restore from a backup. I'd rather not do that unless absolutely necessary. Suggestions or thoughts? I've not seen any significant reporting of this issue, but a friend of mine with a nearly identical iPhone 6 Plus is doing this too on occasion. He has a 64gb version.
this caused by third party keyboads (they are still buggy). Try to disable them so problem should go

To synce iMessages with iOS and OSX, you need to not only have a well setup contacts card (both their apple id email and their iphone phone number in one card) you will need to setup your apple id on your phone. Your friend will also need to do the same thing on their phone, however you are able to send messages to phone numbers, they do not sync with OSX and will not show up on, say an iPad. This will be fixed once iOS 6 comes out, or at least that's what the keynote and WWDC 2012 said
In iOS go to settings>Messages receive at and sign in with your apple id you use for iMessages. (make sure you are only using one apple id, I know it lets you use multiple ones, but it works best with one).
now that your iOS device and your OSX device have the same apple id email tied to imessages, have a friend send you a message or send one to your friend and when they reply back it should all sync.
A catch, as of now, with iOS 6 not out, there is no way to sync iMessages made with your phone number and OSX. So some of your text messages may only appear on your phone until you respond.
once you respond, you've responded with you apple id.
if they respond to that message specifically then the chat will sync between all devices.
if your friend says that they have two text messages open for you, tell them that they have to add your apple id to the contact card they have for you, and then delete both messages. Now it'll sync in one message box.
The same is true with other chat accounts and your contact cards in Messages.app on OSX
Think of Contacts.app as the new buddy list...

How do i save a picture to the camera roll from a text message in ios 7
I am attempting to save a picture from a text message to my camera roll. However when i hold the picture the options are "copy/More" More gives the options to delete or forward via text message. And if i press copy it only copies it to be pasted. In the past i was given several options to send the pic via email/text/save to camera roll/drop box etc.
Please advise as to how i can save pictures from my text to the camera roll.
Thank you!If you receive a picture via email or text message in ios 7 and when you press the action icon to save the picture and you do not get the option to save to your camera roll. Press and hold on the the image and you will get an overlay pop up to save the image. I have no idea why some attachments don't have option in action menu to save in the camera roll but by experimentation and earned frustration I found the above to work in certain situations.

If your friend recently switched from an iPhone to the HTC One, your iPhone may still be trying to message them via iMessage. You may find the following article helpful:
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact in the Contacts app. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.

Noticed at about noon that no emails had been received all day. Began to investigate and found that the MS Exchange Transport service had been set to deny email submission because it was using too much memory on the server (91%).
The error message makes me think that we may have been getting used by malware or something similar.“The Microsoft Exchange Transport service is rejecting message submissions because the service continues to consume more memory than the
configured threshold.”
There are also several warning messages that list particular IP addresses and say that a connection from that IP was denied because there were already the maximum number of connections (20).
From what I can tell, all of the IP addresses are from Taiwan.
The time period for which some emails may be missing is from close of business yesterday ( 4/3/2014) through about 12:45 today (4/4/2014).
From the time I spent reading and trying to figure out the error, I think we may need to readjust our throttling policies to prevent this from happening.
The exchange server is currently running at 90%+ CPU and 50%+ memory usage the majority of the time, and I’m not sure how to fix it.
Also, I cannot get into EMS I get a access denied message from the destination computer. (Exchange server) I want to get into there to change the throttling policy back to default, since we disabled it.
The Error reads:
The WinRM client cannot process the request. The WinRM client tried to use Kerberos authentication mechanism, but the destination computer <Exchange> returned an 'access denied' error. Change the configuration to allow Kerberos authentication

I assumed control of this exchange system already in place and I do not have much experience with exchange 2013 or server 2012. I do know 2008, but that doesn't help very much in this situation.
Recent changes to the system:
About three days ago we switch our sessions policy to allow many more connections, and I believe this caused the issue. This is what I changed it to:
Made the registry DWORD (32-bit) "Maximum Allowed Sessions Per User" and modified the value to 1000. Location of registry change @ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem
I just changed it to 10 from the 1000. I'm hoping this solves this. So far no.

Yes, could be hardware performance issue. Try recycle the Transport process and see if the issue persists.

because you do not have a 3rd generation device. The OS Version says so , otherwise you would be at 4.3.5 minimum and also Itunes is also always correct in determining if you have the latest OS ( if not it fetches the newest from Apple's Servers ) . And because a 2nd generation iPod stops at 4.2.1 you can't get the newest OS, because your device is old. Buy a new iPod , they have iOS5 preinstalled. -

Why is Messages no longer showing up under my iCloud account in the "Internet Accounts" window? I recently deleted it and added it back, but then Messages went away. On my iPhone, it shows me logged in under my iCloud account and my cell phone number is synced with that iCloud account. Yet, on my Mac it isn't showing up.
I've already tried removing and adding the iCloud back several times.The Messages app is supposed to grab the information from the "Internet Accounts." Messages has always included the ability to separately add Google, Yahoo, AOL, or other messages accounts; but, it has always grabbed the iCloud account information from the "Internet Accounts" section. Except for now, when the Messages option has disappeared from the iCloud account under "Internet Accounts."

i was able to print with my acrobat before, but I can no longer do it. the error message says "adobe creation cannot continue because acrobat is not activated" How do I activate it?
I have the exact same issue. I can print one document and then I get the error mentionned above ("adobe creation cannot continue because acrobat is not activated"). Then I need to reboot in order to be able to print a new document.
I have suite and went to Photoshop as suggested, but this program is already activated. I tried to launch Acrobat Pro but it won't.
I'm using the Design and Web Premium CS6 Suite on Windows Vista.

Check to see if you have contacts in your Contacts app. This is something that can happen sometimes, and is usually cured by resetting the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. No data will be lost.

APPLE: please FIX ALL THE BUGS IN IOS 6!!!!!! Please do it fast!!!I am having the same problem, but I think I might know what's causing it. I just updated my girlfriend's iPhone 4S (same phone as mine) to iOS 6 and was surprised to find that her app store is working just fine. When I opened hers, however, I did notice that the "Categories" and "Top 25" buttons are totally different; and those happen to be the two buttons that are not working for me. Mine shows the same that yours does, while hers has the "Genius" and "Charts" buttons in the place of the two that are not functioning for me. I believe these old buttons are no longer active and therefor are bombing out when attempting to access them.
Now I said I think I may understand the problem, but unfortunately I have no idea what the solution may be. Hopefully this tread doesn't fade away and our problem gets addressed.
