Why is "move object to section Master" is dimmed?

I import a tiff image to a page layout document.
I select it and go to Format->Advanced ->move object to section Master
the submenu selection is dimmed.
Can anyone help?

The User's Guide states:
+Using Master Objects (Repeated Background Images)+
+You may want to add watermarks, logos, or other background images that appear in+

And I checked that I may perfectly do the trick in a Page Layout document : I tested with the "Tokyo Letter"
From my point of view the OP has just inserted an inline object, not a floating one !

I have been able to work out whats going on. I created a document by inserting 4 pages and then wanted to apply an image that would be on every page of the document. However the "Move Object to Section Master" will not apply if you insert a new page, which is a bit of a pain if you want to move the order of your pages. It would be great if Apple had another option in Pages to be apply the image, text box, etc for use as a watermark or corporate marking to the whole document regardless of the section its in. That way if we need to move a page or section you would have to recreate the image and positioning in each secton like I have had to do.
I am sure others would have experienced this limitation when creating documents.
If Apple ever come out with a new version of iWork hopefully this will be improved.

Section Master Objects Every Other Page

Hello,
I am using Pages version 5.1 and I have a 13 pages document that gives me the following trouble:
I have section master objects and headers that appear just every other page.
There only a single section for the whole document.
Why is this happenning and how to resolve it please?

Open a blank document in Pages 5.1 and Paste the content in. You will probably have to Make Master Objects Selectable in the old document before Selecting and Copying it and you will probably have to re-apply the Section Master attribute in the new document.

My mouse freezes in adobe muse can not move objects

the problem is that my mouse after a few minutes it freezes and will not let me move objects.
this happens with adobe muse 2014.2
and the worst is that my file can not be opened with earlier versions ( help)

I think this is a bug in the new update. I have made numerous sites since and all of them have gotten the horiztonal scroll. I mentioned it in the bug section and had a staff member help me with my first issue but have not heard anything else since.
This is a pretty serious bug, you can not launch a website with a horizontal scroll like this.
on another note, I really like the look of your site, very slick so far!

Proxy.cfg [Object Cache] section

In the [Object Cache] section of Proxy.cfg I have questions on two parameters:
cut thru no CLH length - The default is 51200 (Proxy Console #63) but Craig's Proxy.cfg sets it to 0. TID 10063926 talks about this but I wonder if this problem isn't fixed in NBM 3.9 SP1 and therefore doesn't need to be set to 0 now? Other TID's (10075563, 10069305 for instance) talk about setting it to 5120. What should be the correct setting for 3.9 SP1?
disk management factor - the default is 400 (Proxy Console #63) but Craig's Proxy.cfg sets it to 4000. Can someone tell me what this does and why it should be set to 4000 instead of 400?

OK - this is not something that is in proxy.cfg at all. These are
settings in NWADMN32/iManager. For instance, the max hot nodes @ 7000
is a default value that is too low for busy servers. (Recommended is
50000). This sounds like you have not configured the server per the
proxy tuning tid, or my BMgr books.

Find the parameters in NWADMN32 (or iMan in BM 3.9) and check the help

It seems odd at the moment - I've not really looked into it. I know
that when the proxy.cfg setting came out, it fixed a lot of problem
sites at the time. I've left it at the setting which worked for the

Got it, Craig. I did forget to update some of the settings for the Proxy Cache in iManager. I'll leave the cut thru no CLH length at 0 for now.

Rentals are one-time only downloads, they will not show on other devices/computers for redownloading.
If you rent a film on your iPad or Apple TV then you can only watch it on that device. If you rent it on your Mac then you can move it from there to your iPhone or your Apple TV (if it's a first gen Apple TV) : FAQs about renting movies from the iTunes Store :
If you rented the movie on your computer, you can move it to an iOS device or Apple TV (1st generation). To do this, connect the devices and sync using USB. Can I put multiple object placeholder in Master slide?

I would like to know if I can creat multiple object placeholder in Master slide or not. After searching the disccusion, seems that this problem occur since Keynote 03 and is not improved till Keynote 09 now. In fact, I would like to make a slide show of multiple photos, but I would like to arrange several photos in one slide and exactly the same position and size in each slide. So, it would be easiler if I can make a master slide with mulitple object placeholders. Can anyone help or if there is any alternative ways? Thank you.

Apple Maps is not a GIS application. It might be one day. For now, you will have to use ArcGIS or something similar.

Can't move objects small distances

CS6, OS X
I can't seem to move objects in my drawing small distances..I'm used to being able to do this..must be some setting I hit, but I can't find which one it might be. I have snap to off, but this isn't behaving like snap to..it's behaving like I'm only "allowed" to move objects certain distances; any smaller and the object simply doesn't move at all..
can someone shine a light on this?

FlashKatt when you create a new Doicument such as a web document uncheck the option in the new document options dialog and it then will not be a problem for that document it is a default settings for a couple of the sandard document types that are rgb based.
Always check to see if the option is on when creting a new document.
Also be aware if you are actually creating a web document then the option is actually useful as it will prevent you from creating and aligning elements that will not work on the web as you intend.
Rememebr there is no fraction of a pixel on the web only whole pixels.

Can't Move Objects, Can't Uninstall CC

I'm running Adobe CC on Mac OS X Yosemite. I've got variations on the same problem, but the main thrust is: I can't move objects.
More detailed: I booted up InDesign this morning and started working in it. All of a sudden, I couldn't move any of my objects. Can't resize them, can't drag them, nothing. So I look up the issue and this is an ongoing problem apparently. I have done the following:
• Held down Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Command before the launch screen to delete preferences (didn't work)
• Manually found the Preferences and Caches folder and renamed them (didn't work)
• Uninstalled Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, then reinstalled (didn't work)
• Restarted my computer after doing the first two (this worked for five minutes until I opened a browser window, and then the problem was back.
The next step I would've taken is uninstalling CC and all the applications, clearing the software, and reinstalling everything. Except now I'm being told I can't uninstall CC. Because it's in use. When it's not.
Look, Adobe, I like the product. But this is bulls***. I've done everything everyone on every message board has done to solve the problem, and it hasn't fixed this. I need the CC in order to maintain job performance. I also need to use the Internet at the same time. This shouldn't be hard.

I believe the apple should be universal in all the products and a small island like Malts should have the same products for sale on ISTORE like of the UK and USA.

The iTunes and App stores are inherently different in different countries. Local laws on copyright and other limits on the distribution of intellectual property make it impossible for Apple to simply put everything in every store. Sometimes, the owner of the intellectual property does not allow it to be distributed everywhere. Keep in mind that Apple does not own the music, books, movies and such that they allow for sale in their store front, so they do not necessarily have any say in what may, or may not appear in what store.

Can't copy/paste or move objects.

Entire Edit Menu, other than "Clear" is grayed out – can't copy/paste anything. Also can't move objects with direct selection tool. Reset preferences and still have same problem. Ideas?

I just had this problem as well. I'm using InDesign CS6, MacOS 10.6.8 where my cut & Paste grayed out and after I made any kind of object. Even though I could select it, I couldn't drag it/move it UNLESS I used my arrow keys to do so. I tried deleting my prefs and restarting InDesign multiple times as listed above but after a full shut down and restart of my machine I finally saw operations return to normal.
Just an FYI.

GAME: best way to MOVE objects: tweenlite them or increment their x any values

As the title says, need best way to move objects in game. Always used x and y increments. Read about tweenlite and use it, very easy. So which do I use taking into account that these games can be ported to mobiles ie: which is more optimized. It's a platform type game. I will have
a. A little girl that walks and climbs
b. Little platforms that slide from side to side - you have to jump on them
c. The little girl will jump
d. Little baddies will fly around the screen.
ALSO, as the girl jumps I would like it to look natural
a. Gravity as she falls down
b. The correct increment on x and y as she jumps.
Shouldn't their be an actionscript 3 games forum . anybody know a good site for that?

Why Bother with Objective C?

Given the tools out there for writing iOS apps in HTML, Jquery, C#, Ruby, etc, including some with generate apps that can run on both Android and iOS,
why bother writing in Objective C?

Interesting. Do you know of any similar projects with different languages? RubyMotion looks cool, but only if, as you say, "Ruby is your thing". For me, it is just another syntax. But to get back to the question of why bother with Objective-C, the answer is clearly the Objective-C runtime. It doesn't turn C into Perl, but it comes quite close. It comes so close that it really isn't worth ones time to bother with Objective-Perl.

Why does an object collide with itself?

I'm getting an unusual condition where, after using WakeupOnCollisionEnter(Node node) calls back my program with the triggering path, I am getting objects that collide with themselves.

"Class specifying a wakeup when the specified object collides with any other object in the scene graph."
They key words being "any other object", which would seem to preclude the node specified.

This may depend on your chosen encoding options for the Mails (MIME vs. Base64 or similar) and/or the mails being reduced in size and sliced up server side. Apple (and Google) do stuff like recompressing images when viewing mails on mobile devices from an Apple ID or Gmail account... You have to turn it off in their web frontends....
