Why is Mozilla blocking the submission of certain ideas?
The feedback about Firefox is highly biased. Positive comments are welcomed, but negative ones are blocked. There also is a block against submitting certain types of ideas. I try to submit an idea about the display of text in the address bar, and that is always blocked. Why??
What is the point of inviting feedback if you are going to bias it strongly?
Thanks for the reply. I found out (by posting to a Mozilla newsgroup) that there is a character limit, and I was over the limit. That fact should be stated on the page. I was not aware that there was a limit, because there was nothing to say that.

Why is Safari blocking the latest Java plugin?
Today, I fired up Safari to access my work server but the required Java applet wouldn't run. Safari displayed "Blocked Plugin" and clicking it said my Java was out of date and/or a security risk. I upgraded to the most recent Java (7.10, I believe) and restarted everything, but Safari still blocks the plugin. Firefox does not and confirms it's installed correctly and works.
There's no higher version of Java or my Safari (6.0.2). What is going on and how can I resolve it?

JeremyI too am having this problem, and have tried every conceivable workaround. Firefox is not an option, as it seems that the Juniper SSL-VPN product won't fire up the ncproxyd or pass the "host check" with Firefox 18 and Java7 -- so whilst other Java sites work, the VPN I need to use won't come up.
I've tried removing everything, reboot, checking permissions -- even ran Instruments in the Developer tool to figure out how Safari makes the determination if something is out of date or not.
There is a major Java security hole out at the moment, in the latest version, so the only thing I can think of is that perhaps Apple fired a "kill everything" command that is telling all Safari versions that no version of Java is safe. -
I am not typing this on the computer on which I experienced the problem. Consequently, the list of plug-ins noted under the list of additional system details here is incorrect. I am running Firefox 3.6.9 on all three of my computers. The netbook on which this occurred is running Windows 7 Starter. Both other computers are running Windows 7 Home Premium.
It is not Personas that are being blocked, it is version 1.6 of the Personas Plus add-on that has been blocked as it was casuing many problems. You can still use Personas without that add-on. If you want the add-on, you can install version 1.6.1 which has fixed the bug in 1.6, available from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10900/

Why does Mozilla permit the Firesheep App
Just read an article about launch of "firesheep" It is an Firefox Ad On that permits stealing info from people using Wi Fi. Since Firefox is for security, why don't they block this add on?

Yes, they could "blocklist" it, but that won't do anything to fix the real problem - the lack of security in general, and in particular with wi-fi connections and the most popular domains. <br/>
It's not available from the official Addons website - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/- so Mozilla isn't distributing it. <br />
The name - FireSheep - isn't a tip-off about that extension? <br />

I think of that as a learning experience for user's, you get burned once and maybe you'll spend some time learning about web security. Of course, some user's don't learn not to touch something hot the first time they're burned, some people will need to get burned two or three times before they learn not to pickup something that's hot.
I'm not a computer professional. I'm semi-retired and in my 7th decade on this earth, but I have been using PC's for 26 years so I have some experience in these matter's. -

Finding Duplicates - why did they block entry to the iphoto folder?
Why is there no duplicate search like there is in itunes? Why did they block the iphoto folder so I can't use other programs to find dupes? Why do I have to have another set of pictures every time I update to the next ilife?
I just want to have a quick search and delete to get rid of dupe files in iphoto without going through one at a time. Anyone have any ideas in '08?Mike

Because there are many reasons why users might want duplicates. But if you have a duplicate issue try using Duplicate Annihilator.

How to Block the material Item from the Po level?
Hi,
Is it possible to block the item stock from the PO level?
Currently client request to block the material on certain good receipt only, that's why they want to control in the PO.
With the field stock type in PO defaulted to Unrestricted is good for them as they only need to change the stock type to block if they found out that that particular item need to be blocked.
The problem that i'm facing now is the stock type in PO is for display only, but when i check in OMF4, Quality Inspection, it was set as opt. Entry. Is there other places that i still need to change?
Beside change the stock type in PO, is there any other work around? For example, such as can we set a message pop up from the item text in the PO indicate that this item should be recieve as block stock when the store personnel do the GR or other work around?

as per ur requriments certain goods receipts only go for block stock.
for that in that purchase orders w r t line items take stock type as a block stock.
if u want to restrict the material no purchasing at different u can select Xplant material status in material purchasing view or material type level oms2.

Mozilla blocks certain URL's as NOT VALID-why-what criteria-who decides what we can open?
This is not a computer problem. It is obvious that Mozilla has adopted a policy of restricting certain sites.
Please explain why! What is the basis for this policy? Is this not a violation of the first amendment?

what is cookies.sqlite and why does it slow the start up of mozilla by a minute or so. I found it and deleted it,fixed the problem, but it reappears every time I restart mozilla.
AVG reports these sqlite cookies each time firefox starts. they usually belong to tribalfusion or some other tracker. How do I block them in the first place. I thought firefox is a safe browser. Did not have this problem until I upgraded to 3.6.

The BIG WHITE MOSTLY BLANK , MOZILLA START PAGE was blocking my use of PRINT PREVIEW, from the orange "Firefox" in the upper left corner.
I was told i was using an out of date version of Firefox.
But no "click here to update".
So i downloaded the new edition of Firefox.
And still, i can not see PRINT PREVIEW, because the large white screen of the MOZILLA START PAGE is blocking it.
I have selected a background wallpaper, so would rather not see ANY of the BIG WHITE START PAGE, at all !!

Every time I open a pdf file which includes a javascript, a dialogue box pops up. I have a question why 'Do not show this message again' is not working even I checked on the checkbox. It should block the dialogue next time when I open the same pdf file but not working. What is the matter and how can I deal with it?
I am trying it on Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.2.1. Tried to fix Hex code, and also tried 'edit-preference-trust manager'. I focusing on Adobe registries but still couldn't fix the problem.

If some items do not display green checkmarks that means that the hosting server is not configured correctly to allow the Form widgets to send email messages to the address you've specified.
Contact your web-hosting provider about the server configuration problem. Describe the items that are not marked as green in the form check page, so that they can help you set up the servers to use the correct settings.

Hi,
I am wanting to block text messaging that I sometimes receive from clients after hours, and I want to know is there an app like there is for android phones that has lists that you can create so certain people can be sent an auto reply when they send you a message?
I don't want to block the numbers completely just at weekends and/or after hours and I still want to be able to receive phone calls from those numbers as an option.

Frequently get " mozilla firefox not responding" messages while already on yahoo page. When trying to trouble shoot on support page by going to "check with mozilla on the status of your plug ins" I am blocked by a rotating grey circle. Main problem is randomly appearing message "firefox not responding" which occasionally fixes itself but not always.
