why is my airportxpr only working with Itunes and not with another music program??
I can not select/see other outputs in my sound selector.

You have not indicated which OS or which music program you have so I have listed a program called Airfoil to try for both Windows and Mac - it may work for you

If you want Bridge CS6 to open when using Photoshop CS6, you must quit Bridge CC.
Then File menu > Browse in Bridge will bring up Bridge CS6.
If Bridge CC is already open, The File > Browse in Bridge for Photoshop CS6 will use Bridge CC and Bridge CS6 will not open.

Any ideas why Smart Zoom only working in Safari and not TextEdit, etc.

I like using Smart Zoom, but it only works in Safari for me. Is anyone else experiencing this or have a suggestion for fixing this? I thought it was supposed to work in TextEdit and some other Apple programs.

System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing. Is Zoom turned on?
Also look in System Preferences > Trackpad > Scroll & Zoom tab > uncheck Smart zoom
Or System Preferences > Mouse > Smart Zoom.
EDIT: Just tested Text Edit and it won't respomd to a SZ

Why does the editing feature work at times and not at other times ?

I have paid for the right to edit documents created as PDF's. Now when I sign in and try to edit the documents the program only works once in a while.

Yes, the Export PDF subscription is what I am having trouble with.
For example, when I open and Export a file as attached to remove our vendors information and substitute our company info to provide export documentation for
our lumber shipments I am not able to edit the document.
I bought the subscription for this exact purpose to save having to recreate these documents on my own time. This is very time consuming as it must be done by hand
in Excel.
I was able to edit a similar document yesterday but today, no dice ???

Css only works on page and not in css doc

So i have the following coding for shadows: h3.a {text-shadow: -50px -50px white, 1px 1px #00F} . i put it on my css doc which is connected to my page, but it did not show up. then i put it in the head of the page, and then it showed up. why does this only work on the page?

Can you post the code anyway? It's rather difficult to assess the situation without being able to see it.

Problem with iTunes and not transferring media.

This is differnt since the media it won't transfer has already been on the iPod once before. My iTunes won't tranfer some of my songs (that it did before) and some of my TV shows (that it did before as well) for some reaon or another. I have them set for autosync, no manual transfer, they are the latest episodes of the show, they are checked, and I have tried syncing it about eight times using different methods to get it to sync up. The songs a like every other song and not a problem with them.
Any ideas?

Why does Startup Manager only show Recovery HD and not my other drives like Macintosh HD and my USB drive?

I'm not really sure what happened to my Mac but when I start it, it only shows Recovery HD and nothing else. I tried re-installing Mountain Lion through my Apple ID but it states that I have not purchased it and will not let me proceed. I have bought a usb drive that has Mountain Lion, since I cannot purchase it in the apple store, on it to install it from there but I cannot boot into my USB because it only shows "Recovery HD" in Startup Manager. I would really appreciate some input from you all, thank you for your time in advance.

Either your drive is failing or has been corrupted. Please try the following. You cannot do the following unless you have purchased Lion or later. From your post that's not clear. Without knowing your exact model I cannot tell you what to do.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet

If your computer is a 2010 or earlier model, then you should be able to do the following:
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. 2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

I made a puzzle on a html5 canvas in Flash CC, and followed the exact steps of an online tutorial. The final product works in Firefox, but not in Chrome or Internet Explorer. What am I doing wrong?

Call up the Javascript Console in Chrome and see if it's showing error messages.
Also, you might try uploading it to a web server and viewing it from there (or turning Apache on locally). It may be a cross site security issue.

Why does the button only work in test scene, not test movie?

Hi everyone, I have a very frustrating problem with my flash project.
I have two scenes in my flash movie, each of them has lots of links and navigation within itself. And there is one button that takes you from one scene to another.
When I test Scene 2, everything works fine. However, when I test the whole movie, the navigation within Scene 2 won't work and there is no error!
Does anyone has any thought about what is going wrong?

My Scene 1 has some key frames and some gotoAndStop functions navigate between the frames. My Scene 2 has basically the same set up, but different content.
Then I use a button to jump from Scene 1 to Scene 2.

Some of the entries in my address book show birthdays one day/year earlier in Ical. I cannot change this except by putting in the birthdays a day/year earlier than they are. Why is this happening only for some entiries and not others?

Some of the birthdays I have entered in Address book appear in my Ical one day and one year earlier than the date I have given. Eg. I have entered a birthday in Address book as 23 March 2011 and it appears in Ical as being on 22 March 2010. Other names have no problems. There are only some that do not appear with the correct date and year. Why is this? Has anyone found how to correct this strange problem? I have Time Zones ticked.

I'm having this exact same problem, but it's doing it with a bunch of birthdays. I also did 0001 when I didn't know the birth year, so I went back and did a more current year, but they still aren't showing up where they should be...or at all. It's completely bizarre.
