Why is my bill so high

I get my first bill at almost 500 and just want to no why

Your first bill is frequently a double bill. All carriers bill one month ahead, so your bill is a current month and the next month. It will include one time, activation fees of $40 per line.
If you log on and look at your bill and bill details it will show you why.
If you still don't understand the bill, we may be able to explain what you are seeing.

  • Why is my bill so high for just a few channels?

Our bill more than tripled in one month and we are receiving fewer channels.  $166 seems high for just local channels, weather and music.  What gives?  Phone calls just seem to screw things up worse!  We bought an antenna for one tv and are getting all the same channels with the exception of the weather channel so why do we need to pay for Comcast?

I apologize for the trouble you are having with this. Can you send me a private message? I can look to see what we can do. -FC

  • Why is my bill slightly higher

Ive paid the same amount for months and months. This month, my bill is $2 higher. I know its only $2 but why? No services have changed and when looking at the breakdown, the additional amounts are in the broadcast TV fee and state sales tax. Why the additonal amount and is this going to keep surprising me every month?

    Hello Iam911,
The Broadcast TV Fee is an itemized charge to defray a portion of the rising costs of retransmitting broadcast television signals. As the cost of retransmission imposed by broadcasters continues to increase, we are adjusting the amount of the Broadcast TV Fee to continue to defray a portion of those increases. Broadcast stations are allowed by the government to charge for their signals, and providers like Comcast are required to pay substantial fees in order to carry their stations. In recent years, our cost to retransmit broadcast television signals has more than doubled.

On my Android phone I could shut the internet to avoid automatic downloads, in order to prevent my monthly bill going high and conserve my GB limit.
Does this apply to IPhone too?  If yes, then how do I go about it?

  • Why is my bill so confusing!? Can't it be simpler?

On October 23rd I purchased an iPhone 5S from Verizon Wireless, and started a Unlimited Talk & Text (2GB) plan with Wireless Phone Protection from Asurion. The monthly charges are $88.73. The total amount paid to activated the account, pay the first monthly charge, and purchase the iPhone 5S was $136.55 which was paid in full. After my phone arrived I changed my phone number from a temporary number that a Verizon customer service agent had set me up with, and then ported in my regular number - closing the other line. At this point the Oct-Nov bill was paid in full at $136.55.
After a week or two of enjoying my new Verizon Wireless service I decided to check my next bill in advance. Due in Nov-Dec was $119.44. This is a lot different than the monthly charge of $88.73 I was expecting to pay. I began scanning through my statement trying to figure out what the $30 difference was for. I discovered that I had a 1GB overage on my data plan, and the fee was $15. Okay, that explains half of it. What about the other $15? I called Verizon Wireless support, and spoke to someone who explained to me that because I had changed plans in the middle of the month that overage was charged on both plans. Baffled, and confused I tried to explain that I had made no changes to my account other than changing from a temp number back in October. Apparently not listening to what I had just said, she then stated that she was sorry I wasn't aware that changing plans in the middle of the month can cause fees to carry over onto a new plan. She added a credit of $30 to my account that would show up on the Dec-Jan bill. Well that doesn't help me much, or explain anything! She still didn't understand that I had not changed plans!
Knowing my balance of $119.44 is still due in just a few days I decided to be very conservative getting a few groceries for the week this morning. Upon checking out at the register my debit card was declined. I paid with credit instead, and decided to check on my Wells Fargo account using the iPhone app. There was a $89 charge from Verizon Wireless that had nearly emptied my checking account. Confused yet again I go home to see if there was a change in my $119.44 balance, and there was not. Lo-and-behold the $119.44 is still due by this weekend.
So as you might imagine I'm extremely confused at this point. I have paid plenty of bills online with many different services. I don't understand why my Verizon bill is so confusing.

eschmidt, we always want you to understand where each charge is coming from. I understand being a consumer myself how concerning it is when an unexpected charge shows up. • Why should I pay 90% higher ( US$ 94,99/mo x US$ 49,99/mo) to annual subscription in Brazil?

Why should I pay 90% higher ( US$ 94,99/mo x US$ 49,99/mo) to annual subscription in Brazil?  I am releasing a web dev. biz. so please help.
We understand a price plus due adobe brazil technical marketing and products support but 90% higher?  As you know we also have exchange rate problems so please help us offering a better price.

    Hi SILVEIRA,
The explaination I have regarding the price difference is this
Adobe decides the price at which it sells its product on the Adobe Store.  A number of factors influence our regional pricing including local market conditions and the cost of doing business in that region.  Please note that resellers are free to decide at which price they sell Adobe products, which can be less than the price on the Adobe Store.
We establish our prices for Creative Suite products in U.S. dollars, Euros, Yen, British Pound and Australian dollars on a regional basis using a consistent methodology. Local market conditions significantly influence our pricing – these include the costs of doing business in different regions and customer research that assesses the value of the product in the local market.
We conduct the majority of our business through our retail and licensing channels. We depend on our retail partners in local markets to help us reach as many customers as possible, support those customers, and much more.
As stated, the cost of doing business in the rest of the world is higher than in North America. That higher cost is reflected in some of our pricing and would remain no matter how customers chose to purchase. For example, customers will still read about our products through local press to whom we reach out; they will meet local Adobe sales people who conduct seminars, participate in user groups, and visit large customers; and they will rely on support resources that Adobe makes available in these markets. All of these efforts impact the business costs of securing the sale, whether that sale is delivered online or in a box.

  • Why was my appraisal amount higher? I finally was able to get through and pre-order my phone..I pressed submit, made me enter everything again.. Now it's $50 lower..

Why was my appraisal amount higher? I finally was able to get through and pre-order my phone..I pressed submit, made me enter everything again.. Now it's $50 lower.. Now I am only getting $200...

        Ckacz26,
Oh no! We're so sorry about the confusion here. All Trade In quotes are subject to change at any time. Currently that particular phone is valued at $171.00, and the value is increased to $200.00 if you're participating in the special trade in offer for the iPhone 6 and 6 . It's possible that the value changed during your pre-order interaction, which is what prompted you to re-enter all your info.

  • Why does my billing account keep coming up and say my bank details are worng

Why does my billing account come up and keep saying enter my details. I've entered them loads of times and I still can buy or download of apps

I had this issue too.  If your apple account doesnt match your bank records exactly it wont work and this isnt always possible.  All i did was open a paypal account with the same card i wanted to use then set up Apple to use the same card through paypal.  Worked perfectly!

The way you are comparing costs, is not the right way, as Billy already told you. Only for one query, the cost of different access paths can be compared, as can be seen in a 10053 trace.
However, your problem seems to arise from the fact that you use the NVL function in the predicate "ordm.orders_id = NVL (4353, ordm.orders_id)". The NVL function always evaluates both expressions, so it has to do a "ordm.orders_id = 4353" and a "ordm.orders_id = ordm.orders_id". This is why both alternatives will show a full scan on your orders_archive table cq. orda_pk index.
You are probably suppling a bind variable to this statement which in some cases contains a null and in some other cases contains a number. If by any chance you always supply a number, then the solution is easy: drop the NVL function and change the predicate to "ordm.orders_id = :<your bind variable>". If not, then you have combined two queries into one, where both variants each have its own optimal plan, but they have to share their plan due to bind variable peeking.
To solve this, I think you have two options:
    1) Make sure your statement is reparsed everytime. If your statement doesn't get executed often, this strategy might work. You might implement this by doing unnecessary dynamic sql.
    2) Split your query into two queries where one handles the constant number input and the other handles the null/no input.
Below are some test results I used for research:
    SQL> create table orders_archive

  • Why are my bills much much higher then I was told ?

On Dec 8th 2011 I was on line with Verizon and ordered a triple play for $54.99
which included Internet phone and DirectTV with 210 channels and DVR   all for $54.99
And they said that my forst bill would be $115.48 and ther after it will be $73.99
so why is verizon charging me $93.99 for triple play and then a bunch of different amounts that total up to $185.59 for DirectTv AND OTHER CHARGES  TOTALLY UP TO $429.32  why?
If you want me to go by my agreement with your company then why am I being charged other amounts
that are different then what I originally agreed to on Dec 8th 2011
    all for on $73.99
    nothing more
So how can I get this issue resolved
I AM DEAF  AND IT'SIER TO READ THEN LISDTEN TO ON PHONE

Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
    1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
    2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
    1. Right click images you want to share.
    2. Select Export version.
    3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
    4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.
    See how you go.

  • Why is my first bill so high?

I have just joined EE and downloaded the app to keep track of my billing and usage and was astounded to see that my first bill is £50 more than I had expected. I paid quite a substantial deposit on the phone from my debit card already so why am I being charged extra on top of this only a few days later under a title of Extra Charges? What does this mean and is it a mistake on my bill?

    Hi ,
    Welcome to the EE Community.
I have sent you a private message with a link to chat with our customer service team. They will be able to break down the extra charges for you.
Thanks for flagging this with us.

Who can I complain to about being billed way too much for way too little?

I don't know, can your employer refuse to pay you because they think you are paid too much and work too little??? Yes of course you can refuse to pay your bill, your service will be suspended, your account will go to collections and your credit rating will take a hit.
Good luck with the next provider. Unfortunately because of your unpaid bill at Verizon you may be forced to supply a security deposit.

  • Why is my ping so high in the first column only when i do a tracert?

When i do a tracert my ping is really high in the first column only on each hop and then it drops to a respectable level. Does anyone know why it is like this on my 4G LTE device? On my dsl when i do the same ping test its pretty even across on each hop. This is what im seeing when i do a ping test on my 4G LTE device.

    hi there
see you never got an answer from vzw
take it you still have the high ping or no ping  in my cases
    your doing better then i
seems the lte is getting bad with this problem over time as my connection times out causing half loaded web pages  and lots of buffering in video playback
i have had 3 tickets in the past 3 month to try and get this fixed  but they say cant find anything wrong
and noone else is having the problem here are a few things that seems to have helped me out
1  increase your TTL  time till live
this tells your computer to wait a bit longer before giving up and requesting that a packet of info be resent
2 in your computers network settings and reg you can change packet size to a smaller number and add a stop bit to the packet with a time stamp on each packet back in the old days  this was what v 90 modems did to get v92 speeds and did help with noisy copper wire dial up and seems to help here too
    http://www.dslreports.com/drtcp
is a tool that will help you change your computer setting and reg
use drtcp and the results from this page
    http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks
xp win 7 win 8 this will help.  vista did it right and dynamically change these settings on the fly and all of step 2 is unnecessary
remember your original settings write them down so you can go back to them should you have problems
also make a restore point and backup your reg before tinkering with windows os
send a private message to me if you need more help  or get a computer savvy friend to help you out if you need
3  if your signal noise is under 4G  -100bd the lower the better,  there is a way to set your android to lte only  mode.
more likely to lose data and voice in weak signal areas but great if tethering or hotspotting at home
dail *#*#4636#*#* this is a back door to your android software and is open source code by android os  not vzw
and will not unlock your phone voiding warranties. be warned though if you set things wrong in here
you can make more problems  be very sure what you change  and do one thing at a time so you remember and can  dial in again and change it back should you disable something you need. fyi each time you dial in the number it resets to vzw default setting and may look like it did not save setting but it doz. till you dial in again.
    good luck
    ron
ps im not a vzw rep in any way other then a fellow customer not getting answers.
