Why is my computer not compatible with Miracast?
So I built a brand new computer and it runs Windows 8.1 Pro right now, but it apparently doesn't support Miracast, because when i go to Project i don't see "add wireless display" button, can you please explain to me why my Windows 8.1 pro doesn't
support Miracast, does my motherboard or my Wifi Card has to be built in with Miracast?

Do you mean that you can’t find the option to add a wireless display?
We could take the following steps to check if the Miracast is supported by the driver.
1. Run dxdiag.exe to use DirectX Diagnostic Tool
2. When the DirectX Diagnostic ToolPage opens, click save all information
and then a DxDiag.txt will be created.
3. Open the DxDiag.txt and use the shortcut ctrl + F to open
Find, and search for the keyword Miracast, then we could find out if the driver is Miracast supported.
• If it is supported, we will need to install the latest drivers for your PC and the latest firmware for your wireless display or Miracast adapter. For more info about installing drivers on your PC, see Download and install drivers.

To update firmware on your wireless display or adapter, go to the Support section of the manufacturer's website, search on your specific device, and follow their instructions to download and install that firmware. You can also check the Windows Store to see
if there’s an app from the manufacturer of your wireless display or Miracast adapter that updates firmware.
• If it is not supported , we will need to buy a Miracast supported device.

I Have a MAC Pro late 2007 with 13GB Memory & 2TB I purchased OS X Mountain Lion as an upgrade to Lion, now I'm told the this is not compatible, why?
Hardware is the reason you can't upgrade. Older CPUs and other parts and pieces can't handle the load.
Upgrade to Mountain Lion/Mavericks.
Check that your computer is compatible with Mountain Lion/Mavericks.
To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
Your Mac needs:
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
2 GB or more of memory (More is better - 4 GB minimum seems to be the consensus)
8 GB or more of available space
If your computer isn’t compatible, you might be able to upgrade to Lion. Based on my experience, I recommend staying with Snow Leopard. You could partition your hard drive and 'test drive' Lion.

Why is Mountain Lion not compatible with my Mac Pro?
Downloading Mountain Lion to my Mac Pro (running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.8) fails with this warning" not compatible with this computer". Why is this happening? What is the solution?
Apple didn't drop graphics cards. What they did is force 64b boot mode. What that means is any Mac that does have a EFI64, Mac Pro 2006-2007 cannot use Mountain Lion at all. And any machine using certain video cards that don't have 64b drivers are also not able to use it.
It is a shame that they decided to do it, but that is the way of large companies no days. There is no real reason to upgrade to ML unless you really need notifications, iCloud, and iMessage on your Mac.
What is sad is they removed the ability for people to buy Lion. So if you didn't go to lion you have already lost some apps in the app store, cause they require Lion or Mountain Lion. -
Why is the Iphone not compatible with Verizons 4G network?
Will Apple be coming out with an iphone4S that is compatible with Verizons 4G network?
Why? Because it does not have an LTE radio in it.
As for will Apple come out with one that is, nothing has been announced, therefore no-one knows. It's highly doubtful that there will be a version of the 4S that is LTE capable. -
Why is my ipod not compatible with iHOME?!?!?! please help.
long story short.
my nano will not play in ANY brand/model of an ihome.
the one's I have tried are clock/radio systems that should be compatible with nano's.
the radio works but when I plug my ipod in and change the setting to 'ipod' no sounds comes out.
I did use the proper docking equiptment.
I have tried different models and asked workers at circut city for their oppinion and no one can help.

Dell Windows XPi have the exact same problem with my ipod nano (1 GB)! I got my ihome for my birthday and the first one i got didn't work. I have exchanged it once and it still didn't work. Yet my ipod nano works in my friends ihome. They are the exact same ihome so i don't know what is wrong. I will dock my ipod nano, using the right docking piece on the ihome, press ipod and then turn the volume up completely and a faint sound of the song can be heard but it's extremely fuzzy. If i use the cord and plug it in through the back connector it works but then it won't charge it and that's one of the reasons i bought the ihome in the first place. I have read through all of the directions and yet nothing seems to be working. If you can help me please reply.

Why is the N96 not compatible with DVB-T for the U...
Just a bit dissapointed to find out that the digital reciever for the N96 will not be compatible for use in the uk as we use dvb-t but the phone is only compatible with dvb-h. Is this true or is a bunch of lies spread by the darkside? or is more the truth that it wont be of much use untill the swith off of analogue in 2012?. The phone looks brilliant but the tv function was a big selling point especially over the new i-phone and other pretenders. Is there no way the tv tuner can be made to recieve dvb-t signals through software changes for example.
To me this is a much better feature than DVB-H because you can comfortably watch on the move. DVB-H just like DVB-T isn't very good whilst moving.
That's totally inaccurate. I've used DVB-H both in an N92 and N96 and while in the train or in a taxi and it works really well. Of course if you get out of coverage it will say "No signal" then once you move to signal area it will continue. But while moving within the coverage area it works really well.
So I'll have to disagree with you on this one.

Note: I'm on Snow Lepard... I Just tried upgrading to Mountain Lion but it states that it's uncompadable with my computer. So I want to upgrade to just Lion )SX 10.7 YET i can not find anywhere to buy this. It's not in the app store. I can't find any link to older versions of the OS. Can someone please help?
UPDATE: I am going on day 3 and have yet to receive my code! Seriosuly... a NUMBER that they send via email. DAY 3??? Because it take this long to "process"??? You have got to be "F'ING" Kindding me! Customer service is key and Apple USE...USE!.. to be king. I actually waited on the phone for 25 minute just to be told I had to wait for GOD KNOWS WHEN (ie. maybe 3 days) for the order to be processed.
As an investor ($90k deep)) i think i will be droppign about half+ my positions tomorrow. It's always good to test those you invest ;-) -
Why does Apogee Jam not work with the Ipod Touch 4G

I have a Apogge Jam an it works fine with my Mac Book, but it does not seem to be compatible with my Ipod Touch 4g.
Only the Gibbson L&M app recognize the Apogee Jam, but no other App (Ampkit, ....) :-((
With the IPhone 4 it shall work, can tell me anybody why Apogee Jam is not compatible with the Ipod Touch 4g (
although the Gibson-App works)?
Is there perhaps still other Apps which work with the Ipod Touch and Apogge Jam?

MichaelI cannot answer the specifics, but I would guess it is a software issue because Griffin iTalk app will cooperate with the Apogee JAM on an iPod Touch 4g running iOS5. If this app can do it, then one would presume the other apps could be updated to do it also.
From last week up until yesterday, Apogee actually listed the 4G Touch as a compatible device with the JAM.
Apparently there was some confusion about Garageband now supporting iPod Touch and its functionality with JAM. -

Thanks.If the OP has this much RAM in their iMac, certain this Mac can run Mountain Lion.
The reason it might not be installing is that 15 GBs of RAM.
Your iMac should have (4) equal sized, 4 GB sticks of RAM for a total of 16 GBs.l
If your iMac is only reporting that there is only 15 GBs of RAM, you have a RAM stick that is either not seated in its slot properly or is defective/going bad.
This maybe the reason that it won't download it.
Also could be you are running out of free space on your HD.
You need, at least 15-20 % or greater free space left on your HD. -

How can I find Lion to download it to my Mac Book? It has Snow Leopard and 4GB RAM but it the white plastic model and is not compatible with Mountain Lion. I have been told by the Genius Bar that it will handle Lion.
That underpowered model is better left on 10.6.8 for performance reasons, also the fact that it's dated and 10.7 will likely require you to buy alll new software to replace the PPC based software your currently using.
If you insist, then call Apple via phone and they will sell you 10.7 Lion and provide a link to download it.
My 2¢ is to save up for a new machine, as that one is about to kick the bucket, they only last about 4.5 years or so depending upon use/enviroment.
If your having problems with 10.6.8, perhaps some of the links here can assist, 10.6 is faster than 10.7 in fresh install tests.
