  • How can I change the country in iTunes when I've subscribed for iTunes Match?

I've subscribed for iTunes Match. When I now want to change my country it says I first have to unsubscribe iTunes Match! I've already turned off Auto-Renew… how can I unsubscribe now? Do I have to wait until my subscribtion ends? But I need a country change NOW!

Changing country raises all sorts of issues in iTunes.  Would strongly suggest that you call Apple directly to discuss, or find your local genius bar and call in.
Typical issues include no longer being able to see 'purchased' items in your original country and successfully resolving the iTunes Match service warning.

  • HT4914 when you have subscribed to iTunes match do you still have to pay for downloading?

and is there a limit to how much you download per month or year?

You've paid to have your music collection that is on your computer's iTunes (whether it was bought from iTunes, bought from other sites and/or copied from CDs) stored in the cloud - so you can then access/download/stream from your computers and/or iOS devices without having to copy them over yourself

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unabailable" Why am I getting this message when I try to updaate itunes or quicktime?

Before trying the update again, use Microsoft's Fix it solution at http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall. Use it to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime. It bypasses this not uncommon problem. When the solution finishes, the selected program will be uninstalled. It can take several minutes and I have seen as much as half an hour.
After iTunes & Quicktime are uninstalled, try the update again.

Here are some things to try:
    Close itunes
    Check your internet settings.
Control Panel – Internet Options – Advanced
Check SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0
Uncheck “Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)”
    Click Apply
    Click Okay
    Open itunes and try again
And, you don't need to turn off the firewall, just add itunes and itunes helper to your security software firewall.

  • HT4914 I just subscribed to iTunes match but only 61 songs from my 7GB of music on my iphone showed up.  I do not want to lose any music.  What should i do?

I just subscribed to iTunes match but only 61 songs from my 7GB of music on my iphone showed up.  I do not want to lose any music.  What should i do?  When I go to settings-music-and try to enable iTunes Match on my iPhone it says "iTunes Match will replace the music library on this device"  I don't want to do that it only has 61 of my 7GB of songs.

did you find out the answer?  I am afraid to hit enable.

  • HT4913 If the music library on my iPhone will be deleted when I enable iTunes Match, does that mean that I will not be able to access that music library when I temporarily turn off iTunes Match on the iPhone, e.g., when on the subway & can't connect to Ma

I have subscribed to iTunes Match and have employed it to listen to music on my Macbook Air and iMac.  On these devices it seems to operate by streaming music to the device rather than deleting the device's current iTunes library and downloading songs as they are played from iTunes Match. Not so on the iPhone as far as I can tell. Consequently, to date I have not activated iTunes Match on my iPhone 4S.  I presently have 40-50GB's of music on my iPhone, sync'd from my iTunes music library on my Macbook Air.  I am concerned that if I enable iTunes Match on my iPhone I will lose the music library already on my iPhone, as Apple seems to be representing that once iTunes Match is enabled on the iPhone the current music library, carefully compiled, will be gone from the iPhone forever (unless I later re-sync it from the iTunes library on my laptop), that it will be deleted.  Although this would free up a lot of space on my iPhone, I bought the 64GB phone just so that I could keep a lot of music on it and accessible at all times.  I am concerned that in certain instances, say if I am in the subway and want to listen to music on my iPhone but  don't have internet access below ground, that I won't have much music to listen to, only those songs previously played and thus downloaded onto the phone from iMatch, presenting me witrh a rather limited choice of music to play instead of the 40-50GB's I now have to choose from. Apple seems to have presented me with the choice of the lesser of 2 evils: i) enable iTunes Match and lose the music library already on the iPhone in exchange for access to iTunes Match and a greater number of songs than I can fit onto the phone (my library exceeds the phone's capacity) when a Cloud connection is available or ii) don't enable iTunes match and limit myself to only those songs, a considerable portion of my library to be sure but not all of it, that I can fit in the phone's storage space, i.e., the 40-50 GB's I have on there now.  If I choose the latter course, each time I purchase an album I'll have to delete another album to make room for it on the phone.  Apple thus offers me a sort of Hobson's choice, bad all the way around.  Do I have this right? The Apple techs I've spoken to don't seem to have a handle on the "deletion" aspect of enabling iTunes Match on the iPhone.   Right now, I'm too scared of "losing" my iPhone music library to enable iTunes Match on the iPhone. [Possible work-around, albeit a pain in the ***: I suppose that I can enable iTunes Match on the iPhone and spend the next couple of weeks 24/7 downloading songs from my iTunes Match library back onto the phone to replace at least some of those deleted when Match was enabled, thereby rebuilding a proxy library on the phone itself to play when I'm stuck in a tunnel between Brooklyn and Manhattan while maintaining access to thee larger iTunes Match library, more music than my phone will hold, once we come back into the light and my Cloud connection is restored.] Comments, suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Can I use the existing balance of my iTunes account to subscribe to iTunes match?

I bought a 50 dollars card, and after include this into my apple ID aacout, i went to suscribe to itunes match.  I don´t want a credit card associated, and I noticed that there is an option to trade itunes cards to suscribe.  It is too late for may card because I already trade it, but I bought it just to suscribe!  How can I use that money now to get Itunes Match????

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4914
You do need a permanent form of payment on file to subscribe to iTunes Match.

  • Why does't Apple do this:  If you subscribe to iTunes Match, Genius is turned off.

Intuitively i wanted to be able to use iTunes Match & Genius Mix, what a great combo. However, If you subscribe to iTunes match, Genius Mix is turned off on my iPhone and iPad. The Genius icon at the bottom of the music app. is gone. I like iTunes Match only to find that using it takes away something I also really like ... Genius Mix... Why can't I have both!!!?

So, more info, if you have iTunes Match turned on, you won't have the option to turn Genius off, so that's probably what's happening. Here's an option that is reported to improve the situation, though maybe not solve it completely:
    - In iTunes under the Store menu, choose SIGN OUT.
    - Under the "Store" menu,  turn Genius ON and let it  sync. (you'll have to authenticate)
    - Turn iTunes Match back ON. (you'll have to  authenticate again.)

  • HT4914 how do you de-select songs from your library that you dont want as part of iTunes match?

i have over 36,000 songs in my Ttunes library.  iTunes match only allows 25,000.  there aer songs in my library that i dont need or want as part of iTunes match.  How do you delesect songs/tracks so that they are not part of the total library for iTunes match?  I want to still have the songs as part of my master library but not part of Itunes match so tht i can get in under the 25,000.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may also need to turn off automatic downloads.

  • I had to take my hp back to factory setting and reinstall itunes, when I tried to use Itunes match it said i had to Deauthorize all my computers. I am using the same computer and desperately need access to my music.

I had to take my hp back to factory setting and reinstall itunes, when I tried to use Itunes match it said i had to Deauthorize all my computers. I am using the same computer and desperately need access to my music.

When you reset to factory settings, the computer is de-authorised.
In iTunes menu Store > View Account > sign in > App Store > Deauthorise All.
Once done, authorise this computer iTunes.
Note: you can only do that once a year.

  • On i-pad, when try to enable itunes match, it says, "you are not currently subscribed to iTunes Match. Use iTunes on your computer to subscribe." I am subscribed though! Then it says no my request and item not available in the U.S. store. WWJD?

On i-pad, when I try to enable itunes match, it says, "you are not currently subscribed to iTunes Match. Use iTunes on your computer to subscribe." I am subscribed though! Then it says no to my request and, "item not available in the U.S. store." My Mac will not use update iTunes to any later version than the one I have because my os is also out of date, but when I try to update that i cant, so what do I have to do?  Please don't tell me I have to buy a new Mac to be up to date.

On the iOS device you must be logged into the store with the exact same Apple ID you used to originally purchase the service. Go to Setting > iTunes & App Stores and if necessary sign out/in and then enable iTM.

  • My daughter and I use the same PC. We have seperate iTunes accounts. . When I subscribed to iTunes Match all her music appeared on my iPhone. What can I do to resolve this

My daughter and I use the same PC for downloading onto iTunes
    We have different iTunes accounts
Mine has far less content than hers as you'd expect
My iPhone only showed the music held in my account until I subscribed to iTunes Match At that point all her music loaded onto my iPhone
Why? and what do I do to resolve this please?

iTunes Match is associated with a specific Apple Id. If you use the same Id to enable iTunes Match on your IOS device you will see the same Songs.
Once iTune Match is enabled on a device (your shared computer for example), Apple cares about not allowing another Apple Id to be associated with that same device for a period of 90 days.  Thus having more than one Apple Id associated with a single device to support multiple active iTunes Match subscriptions is simply not supported.
Whilst your music would be combined, you can from a single device associate more than one library with iTunes Match - until you can access separate devices this is perhaps the best compromise.
