Why is my firefox displaying itself this way?

http://i.gyazo.com/fd48d3c183453d76b9ec9ae2c3010730.png
I'm posting this with internet explorer...
I've tried reopening (the right-click drop-down boxes are blacked out, too, but I'm savvy enough to remember where everything is,) the browser multiple times, opened new tabs and new windows, even tried private browsing. Firefox is FUNCTIONAL, but nothing appears on my screen visually.
Should I redownload firefox? Why is this happening?

This can be a problem with the graphics display driver.
You can check if there is an update for the graphics display driver.
*https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
*https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

  • Why does the print come back this way? Help

    I've been sending for prints through Aperture. And I posted here before with no difference of result following the reply.
    See the picture exapmple here.
    I get the prints back and the all have white borders onboth edges. I've tried setting a crop to 4x5 and then order a 4x5 or 8x10, I still get the borders. Right up to 16x20.
    I removed all adjustements on the photos and send for prints and I still get the borders.
    The example you will see is a Nikon D50 NEF exported as a JPG from Aperture. All adjustements removed.
    The second is a scan of the same photo that I got as the print. White borders.
    Any ideas. All my photos I've had Aperture print through have come back this way. And I've spent about $300 US already.
    The export from Aperture all adjustments removed

    The scan of the print ordered

    Thanks

    I'd guess that if you crop to 4x5, and then print on 2x3 (which is the standard format most minilabs use) you'll have to live with the borders.
    Try cropping an image 2x3 (which is about the crop of your sensor) and then print again.
    Also, export your image as a jpeg and use another print service for a test.
    Finally, maybe there's a setting somewhere in Aperture which sets the borders on Prints done through the Apple print service (which is fulfilled by, I believe, Kodak). Thus, trash your Aperture prefs (which of course kills all your personalised settings except for registration info) and try again.

  • Why Can't Firefox Uninstall Itself Completely?

    I use MZ components because I appreciate the options to closed apps such as Outlook, IE, etc. However, one thing that bugs the heck out of me is the inability to completely remove itself when so directed. If an app like Firefox knows how and where to install itself, why the heck can't it completely uninstall itself?
    I recently completed a clean install of W7-64b on a new machine and added Firefox 10. Experiencing an issue, I uninstalled it (or so I thought). From that point on, new installs froze the system and produced random issues of lockup. Checking the registry I found remnants everywhere even after asking to completely remove personal files, history - whatever. Removing all the remnants and reinstalling fixed the problem.
    Like I said above, if you know where you're publishing during the install, why can't you also make sure you go back and remove everything when directed?
    As a workaround, at least publish a checklist for following up to make sure all registry entries and directories are removed.

    Delta Search in NO way comes with firefox, unless you downloaded a bogus firefox, always download from mozilla.org

  • Why is my validation working in this way?

    I have a form which consists of Invoice Header data.
    -For the Invoice header it consists of Multiple Invoice Line Details.
    -For each of these line Detail, i have multiple Invoice Distribution Lines
    Now For each Invoice Line we have Line Amount.
    Also For each Distribution line we have to enter Distribution Amount.
    Now the Line Amount should be equal to the Sum of the Distribution Amount of each Distribution Line under the Invoice Lines.
    Here is the code that i wrote for this validation in the validateEntity() method of the EO for the Invoice Lines.
    RowIterator rowset=getDistEO();// get the rowset for the Distribution Lines EO
    System.out.println("the number of rows are ="+rowset.getRangeSize());
    Row row=null;
    int distLineTotal=0;//set the variable for Total Distribution amt as 0
    int lineAmt=getAmount().intValue();// get the Line Amount for the Invoice Line
    System.out.println("in Line EO Line amt is = "+ lineAmt);
    //do the validation only if the any Distribution Line is present
    if( rowset.getRangeSize()>0){
    while((row=rowset.next())!=null){
    //Loop and set the Distribution Amount total
    distLineTotal=distLineTotal+((Number)row.getAttribute("Amount")).intValue();
    System.out.println("distLineTotal is = "+ distLineTotal);
    if(distLineTotal>lineAmt &&distLineTotal==0){
    // Throw the exception if the Line Amount is less than Distribution Amount Total
    throw new OAAttrValException(OAException.TYP_ENTITY_OBJECT,getEntityDef().getFullName(),getPrimaryKey(),"Amount",getAmount(),"XXLBCARC","XXLBC_LINE_GREATER_THAN_DIST" );
    }else if(distLineTotal<getAmount().intValue()&&distLineTotal==0){
    // Throw the exception if the Line Amount is greater than Distribution Amount Total
    throw new OAAttrValException(OAException.TYP_ENTITY_OBJECT,getEntityDef().getFullName(),getPrimaryKey(),"Amount",getAmount(),"XXLBCARC","XXLBC_LINE_LESSER_THAN_DIST" );
    Also for the Invoice Lines i have a Image by pressing which we would go to the Distribution Lines page.
    For this button i have set the disable the server side and client side validation to TRUE
    Now the validation works fine and suppose for the Invoice Line which is an Advanced table, if for rows 1 and 2 the Following exception is thrown.
    Error
    Row 1 Error - The Line Amount is Greater than the Distribution Line Amount Total.
    Row 2 Error - The Line Amount is Lesser than the Distribution Line Amount Total.
    Now this is fine.
    But Now suppose i click on the Image for Distribution Line, for the Invoice line 1 i.e. Row 1
    , it wont let me go to the Distribution Page.
    Instead the the error lines get added at the top of my screen like the following:
    Row 1 Error - The Line Amount is Greater than the Distribution Line Amount Total.
    Row 2 Error - The Line Amount is Lesser than the Distribution Line Amount Total.
    Row 2 Error - The Line Amount is Lesser than the Distribution Line Amount Total.
    Row 2 Error - The Line Amount is Lesser than the Distribution Line Amount Total.
    I have to first click on the Image for Distribution Line, for the Invoice line 2 i.e. Row 2, make the correction in the Distribution Page for that, then come back to the Invoice Line page and then I can make changes for the
    Invoice line 1 i.e. Row 1.
    Why cant i make changes to Invoice line 1 i.e. Row and the go to Invoice line 1 i.e. Row 2?

  • Why doesn't Firefox display all photos posted on Facebook?

    Firefox will display some, but not all, photos posted by my friends on Facebook. IE8 displays them all. Do I need to reconfigure FireFox settings to see all photos posted on Facebook?

  • Why does Mozilla Firefox display white colour checkered in yellow?

    The browser displays white colours as checkered. And clearly it is not an issue of wrong backgound - checs change when I scroll a page up or down. I've tried reinstalling Firefox but nothing changed. What may cause the problem?

    Try to disable hardware acceleration.
    *Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

    You can also try to disable color management.<br />
    You can set the pref gfx.color_management.mode to 0 on the about:config page to disable Color Management.<br />
    You need to close and restart Firefox to make the change effective.

  • Why does my firefox display differently..

    Hello everyone, this is my first fox
    I am having some major issues with my firefox, i am designing a website using dreamweaver mx 2004 and the website is almost complete.
    But it viewes differently on firefox than in Chrome
    can someone please help me on this as i have tried to correct the error but can not find a solution.

    That is where it is stored!!
    Thank you
    Firefox below

    Validate your pages:
    http://validator.w3.org/
    First problem is no document type.  That will throw browsers into a quirks mode where it has to guess at what type of document this is. Modify->Page Properties->Title/Encoding.  I think it's the same in MX2004, have not used it in a long time.

  • Why doesn't Firefox display my inbox contents in Windows Live?

    I manage to log into my Windows Live account but once I'm in there nothing responds. I can't open my inbox, compose new emails or anything else...I can only get to my main page. When I click on any of the above I just get a blank white screen and the address bar doesn't change from the main Windows Live page. This does not happen with other browsers like Explorer and Chrome and it also doesn't happen if I access another email account. I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it but this doesn't resolve the issue. This problem started when I tried to block some spam emails I was receiving. Could I have blocked myself from accessing this account with Firefox?

    Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
    Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
    To clear cache and cookies do the following:
    #Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
    #Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
    #Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
    #From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
    #Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

  • Combobox in array--why does it work this way?

    I have attached a snippet of a subVI I'm using to initialize the items and set the values of comboboxes in an array. I modified it slightly so the array being referenced is on this block diagram, not a top level diagram. It took me a while to come to this solution; before I had the combobox part in a for loop and was trying to loop through each array element, get a reference to that element, and set the strings[] and value properties but it was acting all wacky. Then I changed it to the way below and it automatically populates all the comboboxes with the correct values, and then sets their values each to be different (which is what I want!) My question is, why does it work this way? I understand all elements in an array need to be the same (although I did find a work around here.), but the part about setting the values to each be different I was trying to do manually with a property node and a value property, when I realized the combobox just handles it all itself. Is this just a feature of a combobox in an array I need to note for future reference?
    edit: I noticed the testers array reference label changed, so hopefully it's still referencing the same control. You may need to relink it.

    You cannot get a reference to an individual element in an array control.  The ArrayElem reference will always refer to the same control regardless of what array index is visible.  This isn't specific to a combo-box, every array works like this.
    I have not tested it lately but as of the time of this Nugget I found that it will point to the top left visable array element.
    The ArrayElem property always returns the same reference no matter which element of the array is in the top-left corner, as demonstrated by the code below (screenshot instead of snippet to avoid mangled references and property nodes).
    Yes that is true but the value returned when using a property node >>> value will return the top left displayed value. In the code included in that Nugget, I set the size of the control such that it only shows a single element then by manipulating the index control I can raed each element in the array.
    At least that is how it behaved back in the day of that nugget.

  • Why is Firefox closing itself intermittenly?

    A month or two ago I started having the issue where Firefox closes itself. It happens a couple times a day and seems to be totally random. Sometimes I'm clicking on something, sometimes I come back to me PC and it has closed while I'm gone.
    I have always allowed the automatic updates so I think it's version related where at some point a new version introduced this behavior.
    I stopped briefly when I upgraded to version 10.0, at that point it worked without closing for several days (a first). Now it upgraded to version 10.0.1 and it is closing again.
    Is there a way to see why it is closing and is anyone else reporting this issue? This is my corporate PC and we run Windows updates weekly so I am current on those updates.

    Hey btauer,
    Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]].
    There is also a lot of useful stuff in the [[Firefox crashes]] Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/latest-firefox-issues#w_firefox-crashes-when-i-start-it this article] as well.

  • Why ?? on EVERY web search do I get a message saying " Firefox has prevented this web site ". These are trusted sites for the most part

    I reloaded the Free version of Firefox browser about two months ago. Since then EVERY TIME I browse, with just a few exceptions, Firefox displays a message bar across the top of the screen saying " Firefox has prevented this site" with the message there is a check box asking "ALLOW?" When I check the ALLOW most times I get the web page BUT on some occasions Firefox just continues to block the page.
    The sites and pages I am referring to here are for the most TRUSTED places.
    This has been happening since I reloaded. It was NOT an issue prior to that.
    It is VERY annoying and I have since switched to Google Chrome.
    If you can offer some reasoning or explanation as to why this is happening I will be appreciative.
    Thank You. mLowe51

    If you find a version of Firefox that isn't free, let us know because that likely would be a scam...
    It would be helpful to know the rest of that phrase because two things come to mind but I might be missing the one you're actually seeing.
    * Popup windows: Firefox will display an infobar like that when a popup window is blocked. If you don't ever want to block popups, you can turn that feature off in the Options dialog:<br><br>"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Content > ''Uncheck'' Block pop-up windows
    * Redirect: Firefox has an accessibility feature that blocks some redirects. You can unblock them in the Options dialog:<br><br>"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General mini-tab > ''Uncheck'' Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page
    Is either of those the solution?

  • An index of my desktop files appears in firefox. why is it there? does this mean my personal files are accessible from the internet? how can i make sure this goes away and stops?

    i am seeing and index of my personal files on firefox. what is this? why is it there? how can i make it go away? does this mean my desktop files are on the internet? can someone explain clearly and simply (i am not tech saavy at all) thank you

    This issue can be caused by an old bitmap version of the Helvetica or Geneva font or (bitmap) fonts that Firefox can't display in that size.
    Firefox can't display some old bitmap fonts in a larger size and displays gibberish instead.
    You can test that by zooming out (View > Zoom > Zoom Out, Ctrl -) to make the text smaller.
    Uninstall (remove) all variants of that not working font to make Firefox use another font or see if you can find a True type version that doesn't show the problem.
    There have also been fonts with a Chinese name reported that identify themselves as Helvetica, so check that as well.
    Use this test to see if the Helvetica font is causing it (Copy & Paste the code in the location bar and press Enter):
    <pre><nowiki>data:text/html,
    Helvetica<br><font face="Helvetica" size="25">abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ</font><br>
    Helvetica Neue<br><font face="Helvetica Neue" size="25">abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ</font>
    </nowiki></pre>
    You should reset the network.http prefs that show user set on the about:config page.<br />
    Not all websites support http pipelining and if they do not then you can have issues with images or other problems.

  • Federal court website gives a .pl document which opens as garbage until we manually change it to .pdf, is there any way to get Firefox to do this automatically?

    I am using a Mac. When downloading a document from the federal court website using Firefox, we get a .pl document which opens as garbage (in TextEdit) until we manually change it to .pdf, which causes it to open just fine (in Preview). It used to work fine, giving a .pdf document every time, but apparently upgrades to Firefox have removed this functionality. As far as I can tell my computer, an iMac running Mac system OS X 10.10.1, does not recognize the .pl format. Is there any way to get Firefox to automatically convert a downloaded file from .pl format to .pdf format? My friend tells me that Google Chrome downloads these documents with no problem. I would prefer to stick with Firefox but I might have to change if every downloaded document is in an unreadable format.
    This is a typical example of what I get when I try to open a .pl document (the pdf version is a one page document using plain English):
