Why is my gmail inbox not refreshing without clearing cache

without refreshing the cache on the browser, i cannot see any new gmail inbox contents.
gmail site knows this as a fault and says to revert to a stable version of the browser. I am on 3.6, which, as far as i am aware, is the latest stable version.

There is no Flash player version 15... as in your code:
<param name="swfversion" value="15.0.0.0" />
For some reason Adobe thought it would be a good idea to target a Flash player version (15) as default.....which may be out a couple years in the future. Go figure!!!
If you don't like player version 9, change to 10 or 11.... just not 15 (yet).

Mail in Gmail Inbox not showing in Mail Inbox

I have about 1000 messages in my Gmail Inbox (viewed through Safari as well as my Mailbox ios app). However, Mail Inbox (on both Mavericks and ios) show about a disengagement most recent messages. Accounts are configured for IMAP.
Any suggestion why the discrepancy and how to correct?

New location, why is my Gmail account not accessible (off-line)

I have been using Earthinklin and Gmail, on a 2011 iMac 21.5" and I have several Google accounts through non-profit organizations for drives and mail (although I don't use the mail). Today I traveled with my iMac about 400 miles and set up to work, but my Gmail is not accessible (off-line), but my wife's account is working fine, and in fact mail defaults to using her account (we share everything). I have made sure my original Gmail mail account is the one that I'm signed into with this iMac, but Apple mail still says that it is inaccessible. I'm using a local wifi account to access the internet. Is there a nuance about having multiple Gmail accounts and/or moving my iMac to a new network that is confusing my preferences and/or logins?

Refresh parent without clearing cache

Hi:
Does a parent window reload clear the cache of the parent window as well?
I have a custom lov. The pop0up wworks fine. The only way I seem to be able to assign the value back to the parent and have it display is to refresh the parent window from the popup. However, it seems to be clearing the cache of the parent and the values in the fields that were there get blanked out.
Is there a way of reloading the parent window without clear the cache?

I experimented a bit and resolved it.
Originally, from my popu; window I was calling the following:
window.opener.location.reload(true)
However, you need to leave out the value and call the following:
window.opener.location.reload()
This works fine and the original values on the parent are not cleared.
Problem resolved.

One of the websites that doesn't load is google.com! It loads some of the page, just some menu items at the top of the page. Then, it hangs and remains in the Loading state (with the spinning wheel and "Loading" in the tab) indefinitely.
The problem started after 3.6.11 was installed. I'm on Mac OS 10.6.4.
I would be happy if you just showed me where I can download 3.6.10. Also, is there anything special I have to do if installing an older version?

I ended up going into the clear history settings and setting it to clear history when Firefox closes and chosing it to clear history and cooking and browsing history when Firefox closes. Now the links work fine and the last page I was looking at before I closed Firefox is no longer there when it opens again. Problem solved!

Mail inbox not refreshing

I use Apple mail on my imac with Gmail using imap protocol.
It has always worked fine. However, all of a sudden, the inbox messages don't refresh when I click the little envelope refresh button. In order to see new emails, I have to click on another mail folder and then back on my inbox... and there are the new emails.
I have it set to refresh periodically but again, the new emails are only there if I click on another folder and then back to the inbox.
this is very annoying.
Anyone know why this would be happening?

.mac mail and mail.app, IMAP, inbox not refreshing on web after delete

I am using mail.app with my .mac mail account. When i delete an email from the inbox it moves it to my trash in the mail.app program and takes it out of the inbox, which is normal. However, it does not do this when i open up my mail using the web. Here, the message is still in my inbox and it is also in the deleted messages folder.
So, i have searched everywhere for some answers on this but have found nothing. In trying to figure this out i realized that if i click on the trash within mail.app, the little clock refresh icon pops up, then if i click back onto the "inbox" icon it then gets the refresh clock icon. After this is done the .mac web page is correct, nothing in my inbox and it is still in my deleted.
The problem is I dont click on trash and the back to inbox everytime i use my mail.app program so when i leave the house and check my mail at work using the web everything i deleted the night before is still there.
Is this normal? is there an auto refresh? i have it set to check for new mail every 5 minutes but that doesnt seem to get the refresh thing to happen. I also have my .mac sync to sync mailboxes and settings.
any help with this is appreciated. I have searched google and many forums for the answer and have given up.

It does as the selection indicates. It automatically synchronizes changed mailboxes only after a change is made to a mailbox that is stored on the server. So when selecting a message for deletion in the account's Inbox mailbox and after the message is moved to the account's Trash mailbox which stored locally on the hard drive or on the server via Mail preferences, each changed server stored mailbox in Mail is automatically synchronized with the server at that time.

Why is my Gmail inbox empty on my Macbook Air?

I recently purchased a Macbook Air, and when I access my Gmail through Safari the inbox is completely empty (despite the fact that I definitely have thousands of emails) and so I obviously don't receive new ones, nor can I access my current emails, unless I use a different computer.
Does anyone know why this is happening?? Yikes!

Why is my gmail suddenly not working?!

I've seen others online with the same
problem. Basically, out of nowhere,
gmail has stopped working on my iPhone.

When something works one day, but not the next, then something has changed. The task is to find out what has changed. My first guess would be that an Audio Hardware setting in PrPro has changed, Edit>Preferences>Audio Hardware. The second would be that something has changed in the OS, but as the mic still functions in other programs, but not in PrPro, I moved this down to #2, for possible causes.
Check the Audio Hardware settings in PrPro, and maybe upload screen-caps of the dialog screens, so that others can see the settings, if nothing jumps out at you.
If nothing is wrong in Audio Hardware, I would Delete, Move or Rename the Preferences file for PrPro. I will not even try to talk you though that on a Mac, as I will certainly mess things up, being a PC-guy. PrPro will regenerate a new Preferences file, though you will have to then manually adjust those, as you require, since it will be the install default Preferences. Maybe a Mac-user can give you directions on how to do this. On a PC, one would just hold down the Ctrl+Alt+Shift keys, while doing the full launch of the program, all the way through that launch. Or, they could go into the folder structure, and locate the Preferences file, and either Deleting it, Moving it, or Renaming it.

Why is the template binding not refreshing?

I made this itemtemplate for a combobox:

The problem is the line. It seems to only get set in the combobox's main text ONCE. On the first SelectedItem change. After that, its length is still that of the first item.
In the popup listbox, it is fine. Each item has a different length line.
Is there something I can do so that the combobox text has a line through the actual characters?

I spent some time looking at this and I'm afraid I have nothing but bad news.

As you can see, I'm obtaining a reference to the line object.
When I then:
explicitly updatesource on the binding, no effect.
debug writeline X2 - gives correct length, matching the item but not what you see in the selection.
I also tried invalidating and forcing arrange and measure and all that lark on the combo.
No joy.
This one is the weirdest.
If you set visibility to collapsed on the line you still see the "wrong" line visible in the selection part of the combo.
Despite the fact that the item in the combo has no line.
Once that thing gets a line, it's keeping hold of it.
My conclusion is that this is a bug.
I would guess your chances of getting it fixed for Silverlight 4 are vanishingly slim though.
A work round I can think of, would be to maybe draw the text and image onto a bitmap.
Present those in the combo.
If your line visibility is actually dynamic that's not going to work.

Why are my gmail calendars not showing up?

The g-mail calendars I have show up on the application I downloaded but they do not show up on the calendar that came pre-loaded on the iphone 4s. I would use the downloaded app more-but I can't get it to work with Siri very well. I think I'm missing something in the settings but can't seem to figure out where I've gone wrong.

Cannot make changes without clearing cache

I am having a problem when making changes of any sort to any page. In order for my change to show up, I have to clear entire web cache through webcache admin page. For instance, I tried to delete a group from access privelge list from one of my tabs and it would not show up until after I had cleared entire webcache. This applies to anything now, any change I make I have to clear entire webcache. Please help!!!

To add to Erik's answer the invalidation messages are sent from the Portal repository (utl_http) database direct to the Web Cache invalidation port, it is common for customers to erroneously set up a firewall blocking HTTP traffic form the db tier to the WC tier which results in the symptoms you describe.

Where can I find a list of the cache - not just a "clear cache" option?

I would like to find a list of all (or most ) websites I have visited on my Mac even after I've cleared the history.

You can consider to restore an older copy of the places.sqlite file in the Time Machine (if you use this) to recover (inspect) history from that instance of the file.<br />
Make sure to keep a copy of the current version if you do not want to lose newer history.

Did safari come without clear cache in the iOS 5?

Is the Cache the same as History?
I found two ways to delete History. One is to run Safari, click on the Bookmarks icon and select History. Clear History is listed to the right of the History title.
The other is using Settings. Go to Settings-Safari-Clear History. There is also an option to Clear Cookies and Data.
