Hi all,
When I tweet a page using the Share function in Safari, it doesn't auto fill if I enter @[and then the twitter name of someone in my contacts].
I've read that the auto fill doesn't pull straight from Twitter (which is a pain), but that it does pull fro your contacts if you have the Twitter name of someone recorded in their contact info. But mine doesn't pull from contacts either.
Is Twitter auto fill working for anyone in Safari 6.0's Twitter share function?

Different systems and your iPhone isn't hitting the same website as your Mac. It will be redirected to a mobile version, which likely is formatted differently.
If you know of someone who has it working that way in Safari, you might try Resetting Safari from the Safari menu.

How to call stored procedure from javascript? (about Google Suggest, AJAX)

Hi I want to implement a text field so that it behaves like [Google Suggest|http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en] .
I read this post .
Now I've setup everything according to that document. But it just doesn't work. And I don't know why.
I think problems may fall into the following three categories:
1. Does the text field and the page invoke the proper javascript?
2. Does the javascript successfully call the stored procedure?
3. Can the stored procedure correctly return the formatted result?
I am affirmative for 1 and 3, but I'm not sure about 2. Because I don't know how to tell if a stored procedure has been called? Is there a PL/SQL statement that I can query in SQL*Plus?
Also, I would to know how to debug AJAX in APEX. It involves many things.
Last, I used APEX 3.2 and Oracle XE. I cannot find either dads.conf or marvel.conf file. Is "/apex/" the virtual directory for APEX?

I recently also ran into problems with this and I will post my solution here:
1) if you need to pass parameters to your procedure, create it using "Flexible Parameter Passing". Then parse the parameters out of the array and put them in local variables inside your PL/SQL procedure.

Where did this "google suggestion" thing in my toolbar come from and how delete it?

adobe flash is constantly asking to update, and even if i uncheck the boxes where
it requests to set google chrome as default browser and to add google toolbar,
the update still always installs google crap, anyways.
i never had that google suggestion thing appear in my address bar before when
i was trying to type an address, and even after i clicked to disable it, my address
bar still doesn't show my history the way it did, before. why does flash wreck
by browser every time it updates whether i give it permission to install this
google crap or not? are the updates just excuses to wreck my browser?

other than going into my history i'm not sure how to look up the address.
the flash installer sent me there.
i have 3 links in my history folder from today

The following only applies if you're using Vista or Windows 7, not XP.
First, try the automated fixit from Microsoft on the link below.
Windows 7
Vista
Check if the drive will now play CDs.
If it still doesn't, click the Start Menu, open All Programs, open Accessories, right click the Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'. In to the prompt type the following command and hit enter.
sfc /scannow ( note that there is a space between sfc and the / )
Let the process complete, then type exit and hit enter.
Next, click the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and click on Device Manager. Next click to open DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Right click the drive and select uninstall. Do not delete drivers if asked. When the device has uninstalled click on the 'Scan for Hardware Changes' icon ( usually just below Help on the toolbar ). Let windows reinstall the drive and see if it now plays CDs.

You didn't mention anything about Cover Flow in your orignal posts, did you? I am neither content or not content using Column view. This has nothing to do with me! I was simply trying to help you by suggesting that Column view works.
By the way, I am not wrong. Column view resizes perfectly well when the vertical separator line is double clicked.

I am trying to implement the GOOGLE SUGGEST function in an APEX application (a sample of Google Suggest + APEX can be found in http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=22777:6:4312817919732414 or http://teradata.weizheng.net/2009/08/using-google-suggest-in-apex.html).
The release of APEX is 3.2.1 and of RDBMS is 9.2.0.8 (64 bits). They are installed on a SOLARIS 9 SPARC 64-bits server, where i have an EBS 11.5.9 application. So, i´m using RDBMS and Apache of EBS 11.5.9 to work with APEX 3.2.1.
I can see the list generated by javascript function when i type in P2_REPORT_SEARCH, but when i SELECT an item (pressing ENTER), i have got an "HTP 404 error". Looking in the logs in the apache, i have found this error:

Well, i tried to implement the solution "Google Suggest" in my APEX 3.2 application, but i´m having now an "HTTP 404 error" when i select an iten in the list buided by "google suggest".
Can anybody make a suggestion of how i could analize this error and fix it?

I downloaded Lion on my iMac. It apparently cleaned out the hard drive. Nothing shows up from before. It looks like a brand new computer. It is backed up on Time machine. Any idea of why this happened and suggestions on restoring? Thanks.

I downloaded Lion on my 4 yr old iMac. The download stalled at the last minute so I clicked "CANCEL". When it was restarted, Lion was there, with no apparent option but to go ahead and install so I assumed it was okay. Didn't transfer data from "another computer" when prompted - assumed it would transfer from that computer. It apparently cleaned out the hard drive. It looks like a brand new computer. None of my apps, programs, files, or thousands of photos.   It is backed up on Time machine, but it's a sickening sight. Any idea why this happened and suggestions before restoring? Thanks.

I cannot find this 300GB "Backup" in the Finder, only in the Storage info when I check "About This Mac".
You are probably using Time Machine to backup your MacBook Pro, right? Then the additional 300 GB could be local Time Machine snapshots. Time Machine will write the hourly backups to the free space on your hard disk, if the backup drive is temporarily not connected. You do not see these local backups in the Finder, and MacOS will delete them, when you make a regular backup to Time Machine, or when you need the space for other data.

You have tested the library on the external drive, and so your photos are save there.
The local TimeMachine snapshot probably now contains a backup of the moved library. Try, if connecting your Time Machine drive will reduce the size of your local Time Machine snapshots.

I am building my first Java Swing Application. Apologies in advance for any stupid questions I ask w.r.t. Java Swing concepts.
I am building a Billing Desktop Application using Java Swing. My backend is a Microsoft Excel. My clarification are:
*1. I have a set of values in a combo box listed below a jTextField. The values have to be displayed on the Screen as and when the user gives some characters as input. In short, something like a google-suggest functionality.*
*2. Generate pre-defined set of jLabels and jTextFields on the click on a jButton*
If this is too much to achieve with Java Swing, I would highly appreciate if you can share any other means to achieve this.

This FAQ should describe the issue - you need to be using Adobe Reader (free) or Adobe Acrobat to fill out the PDF, Preview on the Mac breaks the PDF so it is no longer usable: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2653
