My Imacs one week old and it gets overheated really quickly. Is there any way to stop it overheating quickly?

Don't worry.
The case of the new iMac is made of aluminium. Aluminium not only looks "cool", but actually keeps your iMac cool. It is a very good conductor of heat.
So it transmits the heat from the inside, where if it built up, it could cause harm, to the outside, where it is dissipated into your room. So long as your room is not uncomfortably hot, then everything is working fine.
If that part of your iMac feels hot, then the aluminium is doing its job.
Don't bother shutting your iMac down unless you are going away for many days. Just put it to sleep if you like. But be aware that OS X does some maintenance tasks late at night, so it's not good to sleep it every night.

I would first reset the SMC:
Shut down and unplug the Mac.
Keep the Mac unplugged for at least fifteen seconds.
Plug the Mac back in and do not turn it back on for at least five seconds.
Press the power button to turn the Mac back on.
Then I would reset the PRAM by rebooting the iMac while simultaneously holding the Command-Option-P-R keys until the machine restarts a second time.

If you aren't seeing the machine shutting down on its own without Energy Saver prompting it to do so, then there is little to worry about. If you see smoke, unplug immediately.
No software reliably measures the heat of internal components of the computer. Apple's http://www.apple.com/imac/specs.html lists the external environmental conditions expected for your machine:
Operating temperature: 50° to 95° F (10° to 35° C)
Relative humidity: 5% to 95% noncondensing
Maximum operating altitude: 10,000 feet

Installing third party RAM that is not to spec for the machine and vintage machine overheat the machine.
Installing anything the manual for the machine does not list as user installable you have to be very careful not
to miss factory instructions for applying cooling gel/pads for some machines in the proper dosage. http://www.ifixit.com/ may have instructions for your machine. If you had an authorized service technician install anything not factory installed, ask them to run a hardware test to ensure there isn't anything possibly wrong outside of the RAM. Otherwise follow these directions if you suspect something is wrong. Note, bad RAM may not show up in any test, but if it does, it is believable.

Apps that run on the iPhone and iPad are iOS based. Apps that run on your Mac are designed for the Mac OS X. Two different operating systems.
In other words, apps that run on your iPhone and iPad cannot run on your Mac and vice versa.

I have a calendar set up in Calendar, it syncs with iCloud.
My wife has a clanedar set up in Calendar, it syncs with iCloud.
Both calendars are shared, so we can see what the others availability is on a given day at a given time.
But why do I keep getting alerts on my iPhone (and only on my iPhone) for my WIFE's events? I've turned off the "show shared calendar events" button in the calendar preferences on my iPhone, but I'm *still* getting alerts for all her events. I don't need this, I don't want this, I turned it off... why is it still happening?

Why do I keep getting an unknown error 4002. I seems to happen 5 or 6 times a day. iTunes seems to be working fine but it's kind of annoying. OK, something else then...
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts (Users & Groups in later OSX versions)>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

Internet radio is not part of your iTunes library. There is a separate section on the ATV for radio if you wish to use or you can use airplay via iTunes.
