Why is my iMessage on iPhone 5 stopped working? I know there has been service issues but there are none reported today. Has been a problem for 2 or 3 days now?
My iMessage hasn't been working for a few days. I see there were service issues but there are nine showing now and mine is still not working?!?! Thanks muchly.
Try turning iMessage off and back on.

If your iPhone is not powering on, then check out the article below to see if you can get it to power back on. You will want to start at step 3 to try and reset it by holding the Sleep/Wake button and Home button for about 10 seconds and see if the Apple Logo comes up.

If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

I have been using my appletv for the last 4 months, gone to ue it today and the airplay icon dose not appear on me ipad2 running iso5 where is has been. I have also tried on my iphone 4 running iso 5 and again no joy.
I have compleated a soft reset on all devices and checked that they are all conected to the same wifi which they are.

Seems that somehow the DCHP (maybe due to the Mountain Lion upgrade?) had assigned the same IP address to both the AppleTV and my iMac. The AppleTV stopped appearing as an AirPlay device for my iPhone and Mac, but still the AppleTV had Internet access.
Restarting the router reassigned IPs and without fanfare, the AppleTV is now available to AirPlay. -

This may occur if you are connected to the Internet and iTunes is trying to connect to the iTunes Store and fails for some unknown reason.
Try this:
Quit iTunes and disconnect completely from the Internet.
IF you have an iPhone (iPod etc), open iTunes. Sync the device.
Re-enable your Internet connection.
Quit iTunes.
Open iTunes again.
If this does not work, try completely uninstalling iTunes, then reinstall it according to these instructions:

I don't have a phone plan, so I cannot text without wifi. I have been using iMessage to text my friends, until it stopped working. I can text my sisters email, but not my boyfriends iPhone. The send button will not turn blue. Help? Please?
There is a problem with iMessage with what Apple says is a small number of iPhones and they are working on a fix. In the meantime try this:
1. Settings > Messages > iMessage = Off
2. Settings > FaceTime > FaceTime = Off
3. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
4. Wait for the iPhone to Reboot
5. Settings > FaceTime > FaceTime = On
6. Settings > Messages > iMessage = On
You may have to repeat the steps a couple of times.

I think it's a driver issue not a hardware issue, I can use wifi at work just not at home...
I have an iPhone 4s and it seems to connect to the wifi where I work without any problems. I cannot connect to my wifi at home even after turning off encryption, after looking around the discussion threads about what other people are experiencing I am convinced that it is a driver issue. How can my iphone just stop working after an update?

I've stated that I've rebooted my router , disabled encryption and updated the firmware none of which have fixed the problem.
Also, I've stated that my wifi works with my iPhone 4s when I'm at work, it doesn't work with my wifi at home so I know that it is a driver issue related to older routers. My girlfriend's ipad 3 stopped working on our home wifi after the update as well.
I can confirm that my wifi issue is with my home network not my work network. I've tried changing encryption types, disabling encryption all together etc.
You can only restore in DFU mode if you use iTunes to backup your iPhone which I don't since I back everything up to my iCloud.

I have seen WiFi problems regarding iOS 6 all over the Web. These were problems with the WiFi, but how many try WiFi other than their home WiFi. Your home WiFi is a problem. The fix for some users is DFU Mode Restore of iPhone. If you would like to try a DFU Mode Restore.

iPhone 4 stopped working with ios 6.1, visited apple first time, restored phone and worked, less than 24 hours later stopped working again, back to the store, I told iPhone is out of warranty and they'll replace for $150. iPhone worked fine with previous version, no problem at all. Asked to restore to the previous software version, told can't be done. Why should I pay for a damage caused by a software update. Tec claims that ios 6.1 will not work with my phone because it discovered some hardware malfunction, possible the home button. They can't repair. suggested to go to a third party. I have done so like 10 times on my MAC and then I used my husband's PC and tried it 4 times.. No success.. That will only make it possibe to go backward.. You will end up back with the IOS 5, but at least you will have a working phone and it will bring back all your contacts and everything else that you ever had backed up on icloud and on your computer. There might be descripencies with the Applications but again this is an issue easily solved, you can always download them back.
Two more things: One, you do not have to download the old version of the itunes, the newest version worked for me without any issues
When choosing to download the older IOS 5.1.1, you will need to figure out whether your carrier is GSM or CDMA but you can easily google this info online..

What do you mean by iphone 4 stop working ?
Is your iPhone screen completely blank (Black screen)?
Or you can see your iPhone Home screen but, you are not able to do anything ?
Try with a Hard Reset and see if it works.
First Make sure the Battery of your iPhone is Charged and then press and Hold the On/Off switch (On top left hand side of your iPhone) and the Home Button (Button at the bottom of your iPhone screen). Hold both the keys simultaneously for atleast 10 to 15 seconds and you should see an Apple Logo coming up on your screen, once you see the Apple logo you can then release oth On/Off switch and Home button and wait for your iPhone's Home screen.
See if this works or please let us know more what issue you are facing and since when and also let us know that have you made any changes since the problem occured. -

I attempted to re-do the phone to day one through iTunes and it made it through the process up to the very last second and then said it was unable to complete. I brought it into Apple who said they had no idea and I was out of luck. Any ideas? I was supposed to trade it in for the iPhone 6 next week (back order) and to be honest I am no longer in love with Apple and If I can't trade it in for a new iPhone 6 I am ready to move to Samsung. Any ideas are appreciated before I give up on Apple .... (not my first issue with their phones and their tech help is no longer as helpful as they used to be)
