Why does my ipad air keep shutting down
Why does my new ipad air keep shutting down?
No one here can answer that. Try a reset (hold the home and power keys down until the Apple logo appears). If that does not help, take it in for diagnosis.

Why my i pad will suddenly shut down itself ?
why my ipad will shut down itself
No clue.
Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke. If it hasn't been, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this. -
HT4623 Why does our ipad 3 keep shutting down
Our Ipad 3 shuts down while using it, sometimes it resets and other times it does nothing. It is at the point to where you cannot even use it because it shuts down so much...less than two years old.
I would suggest a reset by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears if this was a once r twice occurrence, but since it happens repeatedly, I would just bite the bullet and restore the iOS software. If that doesn't help, make an appointment at an Apple Store and ask them to take a look at the iPad.
Your battery might be going, there could be a short ... Something hardware related that you would not be able to fix on your own.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings -

My iPad 2 is shutting down when I try to email a PDF I have created in pages. Why? Very frustrating....
That is very interesting in that my iPhone was exhibiting similar behavior with the "blue screen of death" with Pages a few months ago. An update for Pages came out and when I installed the update, the problem disappeared.
Is Pages completely updated on your iPad? Do you use iCloud with Pages? If you use iCloud, try turning it off. settings>Pages>Use iCloud>Off. You will not lose your documents since they will still be in iCloud even if you turn that off on your iPad. -
I was charging and updating my mini ipad last night when it suddenly shut down and will not turn on since then. What do I do to turn it on again?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Has anyone experienced apps suddenly shutting down on their iPad Mini running iOS7.0.4? Just started in the last few days
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

Why does my mac book keep shutting down? I mean it's on and then off suddenly
Do any informative dialogs appear after you restart it?
Power or other problems related to unexpected system sleep, shutdown, lights or fans call for an SMC reset. Read all the steps.

IPad freezing and shutting down after OS7 upgrade
Does anyone else have an issue with the iPad suddenly shutting down. I'm finding that since the O.S. 7 update my iPad often freezes, is slow to open apps, and will often shut down to the apple icon screen ( like you're doing a full reboot). I'm also having issues deleting video and it's not like I have my iPad is full. If anyone has any ideas or tips that would be great.
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset. -
hi
i don't know why my i phone suddenly shut down and not be on at all
may u halp me ?Assuming that the battery isn't empty (and it can take 10 to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

my i pad suddenly shut down...it was happened two month a go..but now it happen it will used more please explane
Not sure what you mean by 'but now it happen it will used more' ?
If the iPad is still off, then assuming that its battery isn't empty (it can take about 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a soft-reset (i.e. a reboot) to see if that gets it to boot up ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear. -
I've posted a couple times about my shut downs, but I expected something different than I got over the past week. I had two sudden shut downs this past Tuesday, about 8 hours apart, not apparently based on anything I was doing differently with the MacBook. I had one maybe 2 or 3 months ago, but got a "OS X suddenly quit" message when I rebooted -- basically OS X crashed before it went to sleep and the computer shut down to protect it; I don't think this had anything to do with sudden shut down issue. So that's only 2 in more than 4 months. I haven't had any problems since Tuesday.
I was planning to take the MacBook in to the Apple Store today to be sent off for repair. But for 2 shut downs and 2 only I'm not sure if I see the point. Especially since I've read at least one report of shut downs returning even after the repair with the newly revised heat sink and logic board. I don't really care to send it off for repair until we can say this is truly a problem and this will truly fix it. Yes, I'm making regular back ups so I won't lose anything if my MacBook becomes impossible to start up.
For the record, this is the only issue I've had with my MacBook. Case and keyboard just great. Only discoloration caused by some ink I got on it. Screen just great, bright, clear, perfect size. Magnetic latch to die for. Trackpad button was sticky when I got it but as loosened up perfectly with use. The edge of the keyboard deck is a little sharp as my wrists and the back of my toddler's head can attest, but I suspect this is something of a design trade-off for plastic used. Did I mention the keyboard and the magnetic latch?I'm not saying I won't have it fixed; I'm saying I'm not sure I should send it off today. A full replacement MacBook that potentially has the same problem doesn't do me any good; neither does repair with revised parts that don't actually fix the problem.
I'm just wondering if I shouldn't put it off until a) it's worse than twice a week, or b) they have positively isolated the cause of the problem and can surely fix it the first time.
I didn't think they have any way to test for a sudden shut down problem, other than watch it and see if it happens, although it may not since it's intermittent.
I have no problem sending it off for repair. But sending back once or twice to fix the same thing is going to annoy me. That's why I'm thinking of waiting a couple weeks until the verdict is more or less in about this latest batch of fixes.
