Why is my iphone 4s restarting ever since the latest update?

I've had several different issues that I've noticed since updating to the IOS 5.1 last night over Wi-Fi connection. First, my phone will restart itself when I receive a call from a saved contact. I then have to wait for the phone to restart and then call them back. Once I do call them back, my call screen is disable, like when you're on a call and hit the home button to check email or safari at the same time. Only when I tap the green bar at the top of my screen to return to the call it does nothing. I'm unable to place a call on hold, mute, or use any of the buttons that are usually available. Its like the screen is locked in that view or something. The least important issue but the first I actually noticed is that my TextFree app isn't working. The app won't startup after the login screen and just sends my back to the app page its on. Any ideas guys???

What is a fresh restore? I'm sorry but I'm not up on the lingo LoL but I'll give it a shot if I know what I have to do>

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Seriously though, clean the dock connector and headphone jack. Lint/debris in either can cause problems.

Hey Ryan, When you looked at Get Info as Illaass instructed did you compare all the info listed in iTunes Get Info on the computer's copy? When you looked at the song(s) that are separated, do they list anything different like a featured artist? Or a different composer / song writer? Sometimes that will trick the the software into thinking it is 2 different albums. Make the info about the album and artist match, then sync to your iPod. The songs should go back where they belong on your iPod. Good luck. Cheers.

I've tried my best to troubleshoot. . . opening in safe mode nothing seems to work.

I recommend that you
Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

I think the problem is that the iPod got set to Manually manage music and videos. It needs to be set up for automatic syncing again. Just unchecking that Manually manage music and videos setting does not do it.
In iTunes 12, select the iPod in iTunes (using the device button), so that you see the iPod's "management" screen. In the sidebar (along left side of screen), there are two headings (Settings and On My Device). Under Settings, click on Music. To the right, you see the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box at the top for Sync Music. That turns ON automatic syncing for music. Below that, choose the option to sync Entire music library (assuming your music library fits completely on your iPod). Otherwise, you can choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres and make your selections below. Then click Apply.

The process may vary among phones, but on the Bionic:
Power down phone
Hold volume up/down & power simultaneously
Use volume down to navigate to 'Recovery', use volume up to select
Should see screen with triangle and exclamation point next to an Android
Press volume up/down simultaneously
Use volume rocker to navigate to 'wipe cache' and use power button to select
Once finished, use volume rocker to navigate to 'reboot system now' and use power button to select

I have not been able to sync Entourage to iCloud ever since the iCloud update debacle of yesterday. iCare just claims it is an Entourage problem when it is clear that the update did something that is not allow it to authenticate to sync mail.

Syncing messed up since the latest update

Since the latest update, my Windows 8 Outlook 2013 gets hung up syncing with my iPhone 4S. I have tried the fixes I have seen elsewhere on the site, such as just syncing contacts and calendar and then syncing notes separately and that seems to work some of the time, but the changes I make on my phone in calendar and notes aren't getting onto my Outlook notes and calendar. Ideas?

chrooting in and running that is the correct solution, but you need to do it from an Arch install disk.

iTunes won't recognise my iPad since the latest update. I have tried the solution on http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538, twice over but with no result.
I have repaired each of the iTunes elements and restarted both the computer and the iPad several times.
I have Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit operating system.
Processor: Intel (R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
iOS 8.0.2 iPad 64GB

Thanks for your reply. That was what the solution I found on that link I posted, except it said to include the 'Bonjour' too. I've uninstalled everything, downloaded the latest iTunes, reinstalled and restarted the computer twice, but it still won't recognise the iPad. I've also rebooted the iPad each time.
Any other ideas on what might work?
