I cannot sync my ipod to itunes it says enter passcode on ipod but my ipod wont let me put in a passcode without syncing it to i tunes

Place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod via iTunes. For recovery mode see:

ok heres the deal i put a new passcode and i turned off my ipod and put my new passcode and it worked so then i put it to charge and when i wanted to use it i put the passcode but guess what it wouldn't let me. Thats how my ipod blocked its self.

Hello.
I was running Marathon de Paris on last Sunday. I used my Nike + kit connected with my Ipod 3rd generation like I do everytime I run.
Everything was working normally until I reach 34th km. At the end of one track in my play list, my Ipod blocked. There was no sound at all (no music) except comments about distance till 22nd mile (then complete silence). For the 4 last miles, I didn't get any information about my race. Ipod was completely blocked and I could'nt unblock it with any manipulation. I kept it working till I cross final line and then I tried to understand what it could be. Ipod screen was frozen, showing fixed distance (I don't remember which one). I decided to restart my Ipod and when I checked what was my last race, I could only see data from my previous one. All informations about Marathon were cancelled.
This problem already happened sometimes but I couldn't admit it could happen for this race. My Ipod was placed inside official Nike+ armband. There was fogging drops inside, like everytime I run.
Why this happened and how can I avoid this problem fornext races ?

It started again today after a 20 km race. Only angry !!!

Dont have that problem but i have two tips:
1 Other ipod/iphone apps: they are often the problem, i had an alarm clock and that blocked the whole ipod app, so check if other apps dont use songs to wake up or anything else..
2 try to leave the ipod app trough the multitasking instead of pressing the home button?

Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears.

thank you-i have to check into the authorization and the account-i gave my husband my old ipod when i updated last year so both at one time have been on this computer but as it stands, it only comes up with my device when i plug into Itunes.
i don't think i have any restrictions for installing apps although my normal way of doing it is to download from the ipod touch. i did find that all i had to do was right click on my device name and got the message to transfer my apps and then they showed up in my library. Also when i clicked the synch checkbox i was able to view the ipod touch picture without it being greyed out. after all that i was able toupdate to IOS 5 successfully except my videos and podcast, and pdfs did not come over. This confuses me since i had dragged them over to my library to make sure that i had everything in my library and on my device. Not a big problem, since i just dragged them in itunes from my library to my device but sometimes i wonder if i understand the big picture:)

First off they are not even pop ups....your crap blocks everything and don't save user names &/or passwords when you have it checked. Also in your tutorials about solving this issue says it has the word "OPTION" .......no, it never says option to allow you to bypass it and etc. Only thing is says is "ALLOW" . That would be nice , but the problem is it will not allow it from then on. It only allows it right then and then you have to refresh...after that to open again it blocks it again.....HOW STUPID?!!!!!

Why is my iPod Touch now repeating songs once in the Bose Dock? How do I get this to stop? I have already done a factory restore and then reloaded my music onto this iPod.

I had this problem after upgrading to iOS4, but didn't discover it until I got to the gym and went to start my workout! No music (except the stuff they play at the gym) meant a short workout for me!
I figure that the glitch comes from the fact that when you upgrade to iOS4 iTunes takes a backup of your iPod, does the firmware update and then puts the backed up content back on, I'm thinking that there are some subtle differences between iOS3 and iOS4 that cause confusion.
THE FIX! I have found that the best fix (in fact the best course of action) is to restore the iPod from iTunes (just hook it up and hit the "Restore" button and tell iTunes to treat it as a new iPod. Then just re-sync all your content and it should work perfectly. It is a much easier way of getting your iPod updated without as many glitches.

Do other devices now connect?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- Try on another computer

Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
Try:
