Why is my ipod screen completely white?

i went on this app called pool bar an my ipod screen went completely white. why is that?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Why is my IPOD screen white?

Why is my IPOD screen white? I have a 3rd generation Ipod nano.  When I toggle it on, the screen lights up, but is blank.  Is there a fix for this problem?  I have reset and reformatted my Ipod with no success.  After several on/off cycles it will usually return to a normal screen, but it is very time consuming.  My Ipod still works when the the screen goes bright white- I just can't see anything to adjust, etc.  Thanks for any info.

  • IPod screen went white, then black. Buttons don't respond, can't do 5Rs.

About 20 minutes ago, I plugged my iPod into my computer to charge, and sync some new music to it. It was fine when I plugged it in, the screen showed everything, etc. I removed some music from iTunes while the other music I wished to sync was downloading to my computer itself. After about 10 minutes the music finished, and I reopened iTunes to sync the music. I noticed my iPod wasn't on the sidebar, and checked the iPod itself. The screen was completely white, and I couldn't do anything with it. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, nothing. I pressed all the buttons, moved the wheel around, and heard some sounds, but then the screen turned black. Nothing is responding, and when I plug my iPod into my computer, it makes the sound to signal that I've plugged something in, but does not appear in My Computer or iTunes. I've tried the 5Rs, and some of them are even impossible since it doesn't show up in iTunes. Can anyone help?

  • IPod screen is white blank when I restart it.No apple logo.updaterwontrecog

I unplugged my iPod video while it was still downloading a video. It instantly erased all my music and videos. Everything was gone, but the iPod showed that there was still memory taken by something, so I thought that the music was still there but it had a glitch or something. I downloaded the appropriate Updater from apple.com. I started to restore it, but then thought better of it and unplugged the iPod again, thinking my music was still on it and that instead of restoring it, I should just update it. Now, it's REALLY screwed up. The screen is white when I restart it. There's no apple logo. And it makes noises. Three beeps. I really need help! Is there something I can do to fix it? Or should I just send it in to Apple. I've only had it a little over 3 months and I have over 200 days left on my warranty. Thankfully, I can backup all the music and videos if my iPod ever starts working again. PLEASE HELP ME!!

You messed it up by not allowing the firmware update to finish the installation before disconnecting the iPod. Try these steps.
    Reset the iPod.
If the reset doesn't help, then put the iPod into forced disk mode.
How to put the iPod into disk mode.
Now connect the iPod to the computer. This step may immediately take you to the iPod's normal display screen. Reset the iPod to exit disk mode.
If you still have the white screen, then you should use the updater to restore the iPod.
Wait until the restore has finished before disconnecting the iPod. If you're unsure, wait at least 20 minutes (it's probably overkill but best to be sure). In my experience, the software updater for version 1.1.1 takes longer to complete the process than previous updaters.
    That should cure the issue.
If however it doesn't, and your iPod is still non responsive (doesn't reset, nothing on the screen or button presses don't work), then it will have to be sent away for service.
    See: iPod service request.

  • IPod Screen Is White? Nothing working!

My iPod's battery died and so I connected it to my iPod dock which recharges and the screen went white. When I press the on/off button the screen goes a light shade of black. Press it again, white. Pressing home makes it go white again. No error message, just white or light shade of black. HELP!

    - After charging for a couple of hours have you tried resetting the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next would be to connect to a computer and try to restore the iPod.  If iTunes does not see the iPod try placing the iPod in recovery mode.  For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
