Why is my ipod touch 4g 8gb telling me that i have 455mb left?

My ipod touch's max capacity is 6.4 gb not sure why, it would be cool if someone could help me with that too, but i have 3.6917gb of apps and such on my ipod touch, (checked twice on my calculator) not including the pre-installed apps. it says that i have 455mb left, i want to be able to put all of my paid apps on it. my apps are: most wanted, gta3, angry birds, (all of them including bad piggies) bloons td5, facebook, nike+running, bobsled, free video, ( i only have 1, 25mb video on it) fruit ninja, cut the rope, instagram, cr warrior, find iphone, red laser, youtube, punch quest, 3.8mb of camera and video, and nothing on music or videos.

Other is usually around 1 GB...
A ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup... But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup... Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

An "other" that large usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files. Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

- You do have the volume set all the way up?
- Have you tried another pair of headphones/do the headphone work in other devices?
- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the headphone plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. It seems yo have a hardware problem, likely a bad headphone jack.

After being forced to restore my 5th gen iPod touch it keeps telling me that it's failed to restore, any suggestions, please?

The past couple of times I've plugged my iPod into iTunes it has said it's failed to sync it to my iTunes and hasn't allowed me to put music onto my iPod so I plugged it in today and it told me I needed to restore my iPod to be able to sync my music, photos, etc, onto my iPod and wasn't letting me do anything else with my iPod on iTunes, so, I was forced to restore it if I wanted to actually put more music on to my iPod. Restoring is not a great issue with myself because I always make sure to have folders saved on my laptop with back ups of photos and music, but, when I did restore it and it finished it popped up with this message:
So, I clicked okay and it told me for the recovery of my iPod I had to restore it again. I restored it. Again. It came up with this message. Again.
Can someone please help me? I will be very grateful!
I updated my iTunes about a week ago, I'm not sure if that could have anything to do with it?

Make sure when you are setting up your e-mail account that you enter in your entire e-mail address. If you have a Yahoo (includes any e-mail account associated with Yahoo), G-mail, or Aol after entering in your password it should automatically set up. Any other e-mail address you will have to manually set the account up.

I subscribed to Itunes Match on my computer (Windows 7) I have not been able to get Itunes on my computer to recognize the Ipod Touch therefore I purchased the Itunes Match to get my songs onto the Icloud to then transfer onto my Ipod. I have an iPod Touch 4G 8GB and there's a few issues with it.

So. I've had this iPod Touch 4G 8GB for exactly 7 months and 4 days now, since August 1st, 2013, my most recent birthday. I got it from a local pawn shop, and it was used.* It was not fully configured when I got it, was extremely slow (even after a full restore) and had lots of scratches on the back and minor scratches on the front. It worked fine though, for my first iDevice. It came with no papers at all. But both the rear and front facing cameras worked fine, along with all the buttons, speaker, charging port and headphone jack. However, after a while, the device became more and more slow even after several hard resets and restores, along with the cameras slowly deteriorating in quality, even though I kept a case on it 24/7, kept it in my top control and always tried to use a stylus to reduce smudges. On March 1st, 2014, I dropped it. It cracked on the front, near the front facing camera, unfortunately, but it still worked fine. No unresponsiveness, no finger catching, nothing. Until March 3rd, 2014 (yesterday), that is. No real damage happened to the front other than the cracks, but the real damage was found, other than the fact that the rear view camera had these colored horizontal lines across the screen whenever I tried using it on the Camera app. No, this wasn't pixel glitches in general because nothing happened outside of the Camera app, and no, it wasn't just occuring specifically in the Apple Camera app, as I tested a few others. It also had trouble focusing, but I don't think that this happened mainly because of the fall, because it was safe inside the case, and it didn't land on the back. I also think it might have something to do with the fact that it WAS deteriorating in quality over the time I had it. It's not bad when I point the rear view camera at light, almost as if they're not visible at all. But in low light situations, it's quite dificult to get a good shot and I've been having to use the front facing camera to film. It seems to look very reddish in certain direct light shots as well. Also, it might be important to note that it also got scratched a lot more on the front and back (extremely bad on the back, I'm not kidding), specifically after the cracks occured.
Now, why am I telling you this? Well, I'm obviously not under warranty or Apple Care, but I'm curious to know if I'm eligible for a replacement, brand new or refurbished. I've read lots of stories on the website here recently about people's situations like this where they were able to get a new one for free/for a very low fee, and I'm curious. Und genau so bei der Kamera App. , er hat dort verschiedene Einstellungen wie z.B. HDR ein/aus usw. Wieso hab ich sowas nicht? Liegt es an den 8gb?
Ich hoffe ihr könnt mir irgendwie helfen.
