Why is my microphone not working only when making calls ?

Hello all,
I have a problem with my Lenovo S930 Smartphone to fix urgently.
(MTK6582 Quad Core 1.3GHz Android 4.2)
The microphone is not working when making calls (so people don't hear me talking.)
But strangely the microphone is working perfectly when recording videos.
It seems to me like a application problem but I am no android specialist
Where can I get help ? What can I do ?

Go to settings>backup & reset...there should be a factory reset option.
*Note: Settings names and location are firmware build number dependent.
**Backup anything important first.

i appreciate for the response, ummm, ill check the ring on the shield(is it the shield on theupper left side of the iphone 4 that protects all the ribbons?) and actually is backwards with the speake. i have two scenarios. on one iphone4, people can hear me, but when i put it on speaker p hone, they can't hear me. the other iPhone 4, people cant heare either in speaker mode or regular call. i have replaced.the speaker box, i have replaced.the mic/cable connector as well and nothing on either cases. for sure.there is no water damage. what can ot be?

My touch pad does not work only when I use Safari browser online. The screen was grey. No matter what I do, there is no reponse. Only the web address box works. What is this problem? I can use App Store and everything else fine.

I would try:
- Resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>Safari and delete cache, history and cookies.

Iphone4 - MIC not working only on phone call, But in recording MIC works good

My iPhone4 was working last 10 months till last week. it is bought from outside UAE and am Living in UAE
When I make a call , I can hear them clearly , but other side cant hear me.
I think iphone MIC is broken, but fortunately I tried recording for 10 minutes, it is working perfectly. I felt hardware working properly
Then I think it is software Issuebut,
When I detected the issue software version was 4.3.3, And Then I updated software to 4.3.4. Still the issue remains.
I tried several time restarting. No advantage
After all I deleted all my content by resetting from phone and iTunes, bothways.
Now my phone content looks like new iPhone and software is 4.3.4 and
Still the MIC not working only on a phone call
Unbelievable.
I went to more than 3 apple dealers in Dubai, like istore,protech.. All they refused service for iPhone.
They dont have service for iPhone, but they selling and are autherized reseller,
My phone still under warranty.
Do I get warrenty covering, or atleast it is serviced?
Or could you have any trick to get it worked

Microphone not working during the phone calls

Hi dear colleagues,
I've been using my STL100-2 for 3 weeks and suddenly my microphone stopped working during the phone calls.
It is 100% not a hardware problem because voice input works fine.
The microphone works correctly when I turn the speaker on. And when I use the headset as well.
What is wrong there? I tried hard reset, flashed my BB to the latest 10.2 and it didn't solve my problem: the other side could not hear me.b
Please, help me as I cannot do a very simple thing - make calls on my phone without those freaky tricks.

I have a similar problem, I found that it worked ok after I made a Skype call to the phone or if I called the phone from my playbook using video chat it would seem to start working, then it got worse and I found if I squeezed near the mick it would work ok. I also saw another thread where they had similar problems and solutions were possibly linked to loose screws on the plastic casing around the area of the mic as the author suggests it could be an assembly issue. I plan to check mine when I get to work tomorrow as I have no screw drivers small enough on my person right now. Anyway try it you never know it may give you a clue to the problem.

Why is my Computer not authorized only when using the remote ?

I am new to Itunes. I have taken a huge collection of my CDs and loaded them into Itunes having it save them as MP3 files. I can from the computer keyboard play any of them just fine. I hooked up the computer to my home theater system (including video hook up) my idea was that I could use the computer remote to control ITunes. However when I select a track using the remote I get a message telling me the computer is not authorized and I need to enter an Itunes store ID number. Whats the deal can ITunes only recognize if you purchase from them, can I not use my own purchased CDs??? -or- am I just doing something wrong? Any ideas would be welcomed, I have loaded about 16,000 tracks of music I already own. It would take forever to play each track so the remote will work. Oh, and it does, if I lay it first from the keyboard then the remote will play that track as well.... wierd

I also tried the Option, choose library, no dice. The library is functioning fine. I plays anything I want if I work directly on the computer. It only gives the "not authorized message when I use the remote control.

Not sure what 'goes crazy' means but it most likely should not do that. Try a reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Also try it plugged into another outlet (on another circuit) and/or try another charger.

Why does my VI correctly work only when I turn on highlight execution?

I am monitoring a piece of hardware using VISA and my app. works fine when highlight execution is turned on. My app. is to constantly write and read data however it seems to read incorrectly off the serial port when highlight execution is off. I have tried adding a wait to the read and also flushing the buffer before and after it completes one cycle of write/read. Any ideas? I'm stuck.

Sorry about wasting your time if youve tried to solve it. I wasnt waiting long enough between successive write and reads.

AD is NOT working only when using SMB

We have all our user account defined in Active Directory. Our Xserve (10.4.9) is bound to the AD using the forest and domain name. (With "Creat mobile account" enabled)
All Mac end-users can mount AFP shares and using Jabber iChat with their AD account name and password.
But when Windows user tried to mount the shared points with their AD account, they always got message saying "User name or password is not correct", but we know they are using the right name and password. The only way Windows users (or Mac users using SMB://server_name) can access SMB shares are the local users. NO AD users can use SMB.
The same AD users can use AFP just fine.
Anyone might have any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:

So I have a calling app and was just about to call my boyfriend but when I did call him it wouldn't work... So I was like "oh it must be the app" so I tried using Siri and still nothing it wouldn't hear me... So I went to the recording in app from apple but still nothing... I tried turning it off and back on but nothing... Can I please know what's wrong with it and what is it that I can do to make it work again...?

- Make sure the mic hole is clear and unobstructed. It is the little hole on the back by the camera lens
- Open the Voice Memos app and see if you see movement on the VU meter needle with changes in noise level trying to be recorded.
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If you are seeing the Apple logo only - not the iTunes logo and the USB cable - try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If the iPad still will not turn on, you may have to try restoring the iOS software. You can read more here.

Why do my themes not work even when enabled?

I installed a theme and enabled it. There was a message to restart FF4, so I did, but when it started, it was still the default theme. I changed it back to default, restarted, changed it again to my preferred them, restarted again, and yet it was still default.

I had this & I think the reason was that I had just gotten a blue tooth headset which was turned on but I had taken it off. So I think the sounds were going there.
Yes, after I figured that out, I turned the blue tooth headset off when I took it off. Now when I just checked the sounds, they are sounding on the phone.
I guess the same woud be true if you have any other blue tooth or other device like head set or speaker set up for sounds.

Microphone not working: Audigy 2 Platinum, x64,

I can get the microphone to work only when using a special program VSTHost, but not in Skype or Windows Sound Recorder (I'm using Mic 2 port on Audigy 2 Platinum front panel). I can hear the sound going to speakers but records nothing.
Any suggestions?

I have found it's caused by having too much RAM (4GB). Adding option /maxmem=4096 to boot.ini fixes the problem, but then Windows reports only 2GB. Unacceptable.
Creative, please fix the drivers so that mic can be working with 4GB on Windows x64. Thank you!Message Edited by Gustavs on --200708:50 PM
