20-25% would be too low. If you turned the volume level down too low on the iPad you will have to compensate by turning up the amps volume even more. This will introduce a "hiss" into the audio coming out of the speakers, normal internal noise from the receivers amp I beleive. The main idea here is to have the iPad's volume at a level where it is equivalent to the other sources. If you set your iPad to a low level then have to turn up the amp to 80-90% to hear it at a reasonable level you can damage your speakers if you accidentally switch to a different input which would come out at much higher volume levels.
When using your headphone jack as an output set your volume level of your device so you are still using your receivers volume at the normal listening ranges you use for other sources.

That is because you got a new computer. You can only sync all media from one syncing computer. You can sync from any computer to iPod using the manual method but that does not sync from iPod to computer.

Why is the music clip marked with a yellow warning sign?
While browsing my project library today, I noticed that every music clip associated with a particular project is marked with a yellow "warning" triangle (with an exclamation point in the center). What's worse, the music won't play.
I had previously uploaded this video to YouTube, where it now plays just fine. But I'm still puzzled by the warning sign, and by the fact that the music won't play when I take a look at it in my Project Library.
I've never had a warning sign like this emerge in connection with anything else I've put together with iMovie. Why is it there, and why are the music clips inoperative? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Hi !
I have a question. I had that little warning sign as well but in the clip I had just imported into the event library... I don't understand because when I went to the folder in which iMovie copies the clips I import, it was right there. Same name, same size, same runtime... and it played perfectly; and I could preview the clip in iMovie. But the thumbnail was gray with that little sign. Also, I couldn't delete the clip from my library.
I closed iMovie, started it again... the clip is in the library, no more gray thumbnail and little yellow sign.
How is that possible ?! -
I loaded a lot of music from my CDs on to my iMac at home. All my music is stored on the cloud. So why is the music on my MacBook Pro different. The CDs are missing from this list. The iTunes account details I use on both computers is the same.

I think you ave sorted my problem with your question. I thought that as my iTunes account was on their server (Cloud) and I had previously added CDs which showed up, that all my music was "on the cloud". I used to use Match but when I turned it off lost all my music that I had previously loaded onto my computer.
So I guess I have to use the cloud again to access my songs. This is frustrating as I fly a lot and can not use the music (Cloud based) when the phone is in flight mode as there is no internet.
So how then do I retrieve all my music to my iMac and have my laptop synced so they are the same?
I am totally confused now. -

I have a similar problem. Originally, my iTunes advanced setting was set such that a shortcut to the song was copied into my music library so sometimes copying songs to my iPod resulted in them being grayed out. I changed that setting some time ago and haven't had the problem until recently.
I don't know what to do. here's the situation:
1. I have a song that is stored on my file system within My Documents. (it was purchased via Amazon)
2. Through iTunes I choose the File | Import file to library (or some text like that)
3. I navigate to the location of the song
4. I import it.
5. I can play the tune from the music library or from an internal PC playlist.
6. I then attempt to copy the song to my iPod. When I do, it appears in the iPod's playlist grayed out.
I have done those steps countless times for dozens of songs without a problem. Even others that I've purchased through Amazon. What is so different this time? I should mention that this problem NEVER happens if I buy the song through the iTunes store. Only if I buy it from another source (e.g. Amazon). WHY ??? -

Gettingonmynerves, in my honest opinion, you will be gettingabsolutelynowhere in your attemp to edit AVCHD files natively with PE using a Laptop.
Your system is seriously underpowered for the task at hand.
Most folks would recommend at least a Quad Core desktop, tuned for perfomance.
What you might try is to convert the AVCHD to traditional HDV via this link:

This may buy you some relief, but even with the convert, I think it will still be a challenge to edit these formats on a laptop.
You could also try to down convert the video via the Camera, if that feature is available. I don't have or use a High Def Camera at this time so I can't help much with the Camera possibilities.
Again it's not an issue with the laptop itself, it probably works great for it's intended use, unfortunately it is not up to the task, performance wise, for editing the ACVHD or High Def formats with PE...

Does it appear on the clips if you open them outside of FCP X?
Try trashing the preferences.
Corrupt preferences can create a vast range of different symptoms, so whenever FCP X stops working properly in any way, trashing the preferences should be the first thing you do using this free app.

Shut down FCP X, open PreferenceManager and in the window that appears:-
1. Ensure that FCP X is selected.
2. Click Trash
The job is done instantly and you can re-open FCP X.
Also trash the Layouts Folder.
With FCP X shutdown, hold down option key and select Go>Library>Application Support>Final Cut Pro . . . trash the Layouts Folder. -

Here's what I had to do, no thanks to the others on here who go at it like Apple, delete and restore.
No, you don't have to delete and restore. Just open a folder on your computer, call it something like iPad music, keep it open, open iTunes, select all your music, copy and paste it in the folder you just created, delete all your music from iTunes (relax, you just copied it into that folder). Select all the music in that folder, drop it back onto your playlist. Now, I renamed my playlist, because it was called untitled, originally, so if that doesn't work, rename, or delete and recreate your playlist, copy the music back over, sync, and they will play.
Worked for me, anyhow. Good luck!

When you find iCloud in Settings, why isn't music an option? I have purchased iTunes Match and more space in iCloud, but when I go to music it says no music found? Help,
You enable iTunes Match on your iPad by making sure your are signed into the Apple ID you used to subscribe in iTunes Match in Settings>iTunes & App Stores, then turning iTunes Match and Show All Music to On.
Also, iTunes Match doesn't use your iCloud storage plan so you don't need to purchase a storage upgrade to use it. -
