Why is my music no longer playing on my phone after iOS7 update?

I updated my phone to iOS7 (yay!) but now the majority of my music will not play on my my phone. The music plays on my computer just fine, but doesn't appear to sync to my phone now. This is how my 32 gig phone now appears on iTunes:
It's filled to the correct levels... but says I have half of my phone free. Which I don't.
Anyone know how to fix this?

I just found this and it seems to be working.

Seems to work! I actually have two different apple accounts for my phone and for my iTunes (when I got my phone the guy did not tell me how important it was to have one account!)
So this may be the case for many people!

I dont have iTunes sharing so thats not the issue....My other iPhone 4s is fine and all music plays ok....

Try syncing all the music off your phone (by unchecking Sync Music on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing), then back on.

Why is my old Apple ID showing for iCloud account after IOS7 update?

So, about a year ago I switched from a local internet service provider to Google Fiber. As such, my email account from the internet service provider was shut down, and I moved my email to a Gmail account.
I used to have my Apple ID set to [email protected], but just before switching to Google Fiber, I updated the Apple ID to [email protected]. I have been using the @gmail.com Apple ID for about a year now to purchase items in iTunes and backup my iPhone and iPad to iCloud. My previous purchases under @isp.com in iTunes were still there and available for download.
Last night, I updated to iOS 7 on my iPhone. I was never prompted to "restore" from a backup during the upgrade. When I finally got into the phone, all of my apps, photos, music, etc. were there. I went to run a backup on iCloud from the iPhone, and found the iCloud settings show my Apple ID to be @isp.com, instead of @gmail.com. With the new security features in iOS 7, I can't change the Apple ID (the field is grayed out), restore the device, or delete the exiting iCloud backup, without knowing the password for the old Apple ID of @isp.com, which I haven't used in over a year.
I have read several other posts about changing the Apple ID back to the old email address, then verifying that email in order to change the password to something new, but in my case, I don't have that option since the old email address has been shut down. I called Apple Support and they were baffled by this. After a half hour of troubleshooting, their only suggestion was to do a full "Erase All Content & Settings", and then set up the iPhone as a "new device", before trying to restore from the @gmail.com Apple ID. The problem here is that the option to "Erase" also feeds into the new security features for iOS 7, and requires the old password from when I was using my Apple ID as @isp.com.
I'm all about the increased security, but it seems this has essentially locked out a ton of users from getting to their own stuff, simply because at some point they changed their Apple ID.
It seems a number of people are having this problem, so if anyone finds a solution to this, please let me know.

A short time ago, iCloud mysteriously let me sign in using my current password from the @gmail.com Apple ID, which I had tried probably 30 times before. It's almost like iOS7 on my device suddenly connected with the iCloud servers, and obtained the most "current" information?
Apple Support told me earlier today that when I changed the Apple ID login from @isp.com to @gmail.com last year, I was simply updating an existing "account", and did not create a separate account. This was why all of my previous purchases under @isp.com were still available for download, etc. They said that despite the fact my old @isp.com Apple ID was showing after the iOS7 update, I should be able to enter the current password for the @gmail.com Apple ID. When that didn't work, I went to iCloud on my Mac and changed my password. Even after changing the password to something new, it still didn't work on my iPhone running on iOS7. Mysteriously, after 30+ attempts to login using the new password, it suddenly accepted it. It had literally denied my password repeatedly within 5 minutes before it accepted it, which is why I thought maybe it suddenly connected to the server and recognized the current login credentials for my account.
I'm not sure why it suddenly decided to let me sign in, but I've finally managed to disable the "Find my iPhone" feature long enough to change the iCloud Apple ID to @gmail.com and start a backup (still in progress).
The one thing I can't tell from the other threads I'm reading is if this is a widespread iOS7 issue on all devices, or if it is isolated to a particular device (or model). I'm hesitant to upgrade my iPad2 until I see more on this issue.

I have not been able to play music or podcasts when my phone is plugged into my iHome. It did so before the iOS update. It does the same thing with my JBL at work.

Yes with some docks and car systems but I do not remember the specific devices. Sometimes and iOS update breaks compatibility.
Try:
- Go to the dock manufacturers and see what they say. Also see if there is a firmware available for the dock
- Reset the dock
- Sometimes this works:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

what kind of connection do you have? do you use the ipod 30 pin cable that connects directly to the head unit? it so, maybe you could get help on the alpine site, or a similar site?it could just be a bad connection. you may just have to go oldschool and use rca cables and plug those in...

Why Does IT Take SOOOOO Long To Get New Shows And Podcast Updates!!!!! It seems to me that it takes and unusually long time for TV shows to be uploaded to itunes and it takes FOREVER (VH1) to get Podcast updates. Also I notice that Vh1's Best Week Ever is a hit or miss deal. Some weeks it's on iTunes and some weeks it's not......why?

The iTunes store simply provides a link to the originating podcast server.
When the podcast owner puts a new episode up, it is available.

Terminé resolviendo mi problema instalando el AE CC. que no es lo que quería en principio pero al final lo que me importa es poder disfrutar del programa. el único problema es que gracias a la tarjeta gráfica que trae mi modelo de MacBook, no podré disfrutar de la opción de trabajar los gráficos en GPU sino únicamente en CPU. ya que para trabajar en GPU necesito el complemento CUDA que mi tarjeta no lo puede utilizar. igual seguiré buscando respuestas a mi caso por la web y otros foros.
Hello again. I ended up installing AE CC to fix my problem. although that was not what I was looking for but at the end all that matter is to enjoy the software. The only unsolving issue is that I won't be able to enjoy the option of working graphics in GPU mode due to my graphic card. It needs CUDA and intel doesn't support it. I'll keep on looking for answers to my trouble with AE CS6 in the web.

IPhone music no longer plays in car

I have an iPhone 3GS with iOS4. For some reason (not sure if is since the most recent software update) music will no longer play via my Alpine car system (has connector cable). It displays a message saying the accessory is not compatible, but it always was before, and also my partner's iPhone 3G still plays in the car OK. It works fine as before with headphones or on my home surround sound system just not in the car. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks for the replies - yes, we are going to try resetting the Alpine unit and if this doesn't do it, wait for the next iPhone software update due in the next few days which I'm really hoping will rectify it. Will post again when there is any result.
It is very strange though, it worked fine even after updating to iOS4 months ago, and has only stopped working and displays "Error 01" in the last couple of weeks. I can still make and receive hands free calls via Bluetooth, just can't play music.

Music applications stop playing when my phone locks

I was forced to update my phone from the 5.0 software to the 7 iOS software because most of my applications would no longer take updates. Now when I play my music applications every time my phone locks my music apps stop playing. I have researched this and it appears there is no way around it. The only thing that helps (not much) is extending the lock screen time to 5 minutes. Most of my phone use (other than text and talk) is streaming music and now it is a total pain due to this limiting feature. Did they do this to try to force customers to pay for music on I-Tunes? Does Apple have plans to fix this or should I start shopping for a different brand smart phone?
I have also noticed that my battery life is way shorter with the new update. I can't even make it through a full day now. Is there any way to reverse the upgrade and go back to 5.0 or am I stuck with the new software. Frustrating...

There is no Apple in this user to user forum.
Not sure why people keep talking about changing to a different brand, - we users don't care if you stay or go away from Apple.
My music plays just fine when I use the built in music app.
If you're using a 3rd party app - then talk to the app developer or look at their support site.

MOV files no longer play on my iPad after the IOS7 upgrades

Prior to the recent IOS upgrade to 7, then 7.0.2, I was able to use my camera connection kit to import videos taken on my camera. They played without issue and I was able to share with friends from my iPad.
Since the upgrades, the files will import then when launched, show an error 'Cannot open' and then play with no audio. The videos will often then play at a faster speed than recorded. They files are useless without the audio. Suffice to say that they play on a PC without issue.
I desperately need to get this resolved as to why this has occurred. The only thing that has changed is the OS. Video files imported before the upgrade no longer play as before either.
Please help me if you can.

No unfortunately not. I don't know how to escalate this to Apple tech but I think that is the next step as I believe it is IOS based problem, not user related.
