Why is my phone unable to connect to the email servers since upgrading to 7.1?
I had no problems just prior to installing 7.1, but now I do. I've shut down and restarted my phone several times and the problem persists. Help!
So, here's the final outcome...it seems that the guest WiFi at my employer does not allow us to access gmail! (OK, this is an assumption but I decided to disconnect from the WiFi and was able to access gmail with no problem!). Thank you all for your suggestions!

Can't connect to the ICloud server since upgrading my IPhone 5S to iOS 8.1.
**** please! Since upgrading to iOS 8.1 yesterday I have been unable to connect to the iCloud server. Keep getting a message that need to read the new terms and conditions, which I click the button to view but then get an error message that can't connect to the server. Help!
Having the same issues not being able to contact server on iPad 1 (iPhone 4s) to update to 5.1.
Why Should DNS be an issue, nothing has changed but it just doesn't want to contact this time. -
I keep receive this error message when I try to open any InDesign files:
"We're sorry, but we're not able to connect to the Adobe Server right now. Please click here to troubleshoot any connectivity problems. If this problem persists please contact Customer Support" etc
I don't know why I can't connect to the Adobe server and am not savvy enough to be able to adjust the hosts servers as it suggests.
For reference I have a month to month InDesign subscription.
Thanks so much!If you expect to use a WiFi only iPad it needs a wireless network. It is customary to have your own versus using someone else's.
Nothing is more network friendly than an iPad.
You couldn't possibly have expected to sponge off a service someone else is paying for?

Versamail issue - unable to connect to sbcglobal email servers
I am attempting to access my sbcglobal email account. I believe I have everything set up correctly, but I continue to receive the following error message: "There is a delay in server communication causing a timeout. Please try again." It appears that I am connecting to the mail server successfully, but I don't get any farther than that. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?
Post relates to: Palm TXI recall SBC/Yahoo DSL recently changed the port settings for their email servers. Check the website and make sure you have the correct ones set in VersaMail.

Cannot connect to the App Store since upgrading to Mountain Lion.
I downloaded through the App Store Mountain Lion. Everything is working great except that the App Store app. I keep getting "Cannot connect to the App Store" error message. Is it possible that it's still too much traffic on the servers or a bug in Mountain Lion? App Store worked fine before obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be able to get Mountain Lion. I tried trashing the plist and cache.db several times and still no go. Anybody else have this problem? Help!
This seems to be a bug in the OS. After days looking for an answer, I found one that will probably help those of you that, like me, tried just about everything else that has been suggested in the forums:
http://b.rthr.me/wp/?p=356
I came back to this forum, being one of the latest dealing with this issue, to share this. If it works for you then please do what I did and share it in some other forum on this issue to spread the word.

Why is Thunderbird suddenly unable to connect to the mail server?
Hi,
I've been using Thunderbird with Linux Mint 16 x64 for several months without any problem. Today, I've received a message stating "Could not connect to mail server [email protected]; the connection was refused".
My ISP has web mail access which I can log into. The settings have not changed.
The firewall on my system is not enabled.
Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong?
Thanks.I had checked that I could log into the web mail but didn't think to check that. It has started working again so I'm sure it was VM's servers.
Thanks for the help. -
Unable to connect to the repository for this domain
Hi,
on the Application Server Control interface of my ContentDB Middle-Tier instance, I have the following error on top of the "Content" Domain :

Due to this error, I'm not able to start the default Node (OC4J_Content is started) and I don't see any Domain properties, Node Configurations, Service Configurations within the Administration of the domain. This means that I cannot change any of these properties, but ContentDB is up and running...

PS:
I have OracleDB, ASInfrastructure and ContentDB (only one instance) installed on the same Windows 2003 server with the following versions:
- Oracle Database 10.2.0.1 + Oracle Database Companion CD (for Ultra Search) + Patch 10.2.0.2
- Oracle Metadata Repository Creation Assistant 10.1.2.0.2
- Oracle Application Server Infrastructure 10.1.2.0.2
- Oracle Content Database 10.2.0.0I called Apple support at 5 pm, it is now 10:30 pm. I am STILL getting the SAME error, saying it is unable to connect to the iphone restore (for upgrading to iOS 4), they said to wait and try every thirty minutes, but it's getting old...

At home, I can connect my iPhone 5 to my home wifi network with no problems, as long as I stay downstairs.
As soon as I go upstairs my phone disconnects from the network. I can still see the home network it in the available network lists (with full signal strength), but when I try to reconnect I get an 'unable to connect to the network message'
If I move back downstairs it reconnects
This has only started happening in the past week or so
I've tried to forget and rejoin the network, but this doesn't work
I reset my network settings on the phone. This worked for a couple of hours and I could connect to the wifi upstairs, but now it won't connect again.
Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this?Sounds like your wi-fi signal strength has degraded. Try rebooting your wi-fi router, or get it serviced.
Do you have similar issues with any other wi-fi routers? -

We are receiving following error, while trying to deploy the application on Win Phone emulator. “Windows Phone Emulator is unable to connect to the Windows Phone operating system: The phone did not respond to the connect
request. Some functionality might be disabled.”
I have tried all possible ways that we found on blogs. We are still not able to solve this issueI have had a lot of issues with the emulator in the past.
Check out this troubleshooting guide. It might help:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/jj681694(v=vs.105).aspx
Also, I find that if I cancel my build/deploy while it is stuck on booting the OS and then wait a short while the phone OS will complete booting, and from that point I can deploy to the emulator. It's a workaround, but it works well for me.
I need to do that on Windows 10 tech preview, which may or may not be simply an incompatibility with the beta OS.
I'm a self-taught noob amateur. Please take this into account when responding to my posts or when taking advice from me. -

Why my home wifi connection ipad2 enter the password after the password has been wrong? Password is the phone able to connect after the connection is ipad2 has been an error?
Hello joe2616,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To troubleshoot this issue where your Wi-Fi network is dropping, please follow the directions outlined below.
Symptom: The network connection drops unexpectedly
Your Mac may not not stay connected to your Wi-Fi network reliably.
Your Mac may stop accessing the Internet during use.
Solution
Use these steps if your computer disconnects from its Wi-Fi network unexpectedly.
Check your range to the Wi-Fi router and reduce the effect of interference.
If your computer is too far from your Wi-Fi router or your environment has too much Wi-Fi interference, then your computer may not detect the Wi-Fi network properly. The easiest way to check for range limits with your Wi-Fi network is to move your computer or your Wi-Fi router closer together and make sure that there are no obstructions (such as walls, cabinets, and so forth) between the router and your computer.See Potential sources of wireless interference for more information about interference and solutions.
Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. If your computer works fine when connected to a different Wi-Fi network, then the issue may be related to your network router or ISP. In that case, contact the manufacturer of your router or your ISP.

Why am I unable to connect to the internet? I am next to my main computer which has no problems.
Try the iPad forum, then:
https://discussions.apple.com/community/ipad/using_ipad
You'll need to include full details, including the model of iPad, the version of iOS, the exact nature and symptoms of the problem, and what if anything you've tried for correcting the problem.

We are a two iPhone family, both on the same service provider. My wires iPhone is unable to connect to the home network where as mine is! In the settings her phone has no details for the IP address etc where as mine does! I cannot even enter the details manually.
I have done resets on off and nothing? HELP!What is that and how. I have 3 airports all configured identically and connected to one router via ethernet!

Hi,
Suddenly I got this error in SCVMM 2012-R2 Roll-up 1:
When working with User-Roles (create/update) or assigning a Cloud :
"VMM encountered a critical exception and created an exception report....
search user forums for well-known failure root causes for self-help" (how sweet)... (if it's "well known", why not coding the exception handling correctly?)
The relevant part of the report might be this:
"SCVMM Version=3.2.7620.0
SCVMM flavor=C-buddy-RTL-AMD64
Default Assembly Version=3.2.7620.0
Executable Name=vmmservice.exe
Executable Version=3.2.7510.0
Base Exception Target Site=140717670746840
Base Exception Assembly name=System.Data.dll
Base Exception Method Name=System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError
Exception Message=Unable to connect to the VMM database because of a general database failure.
Ensure that the SQL Server is running and configured correctly, then try the operation again."
(side question: what does this mean: "Ensure that the SQL Server is ... configured correctly"?
I can say that :
SQL is configured by the book, that all services are running (did a reboot of VMM server too) and that all other VMM functions work OK. I don't believe that SQL is only used for user-roles...
Acting as Domain admin and VMM admin.
All updates are installed.
Please find the report @the and and a screen shot attached.
Thanks for any help.

Thomas.I (quite honestly) am one of those folks that generally do not read the KB articles associated with a patch or UR or SP - as you don't expect details like have been put into this particular one.
But as Kristian pointed out - within that KB article is the SQL script that modifies / updates this SQL Stored Procedure.
http://blogs.technet.com/b/scvmm/archive/2014/01/29/how-to-update-scvmm-2012-r2-to-update-rollup-1.aspx
Needless to say, the feedback was given to MSFT that folks would overlook that this SQL script needed to be run. So we are just trying to help out.
