Why is my reader crashing regularly on this site?

Why does adobe reader crash on website www.bridgebase.com ?

Operating system...windows 7
browser   firefox
reader version 10
I play Bridge on line at www.Bridgebase.com
About every other time that I enter that site and begin play, the site goes "gray" with an exclamation point in center screen and then a message appears in very small print stating words to the effect,
"adobe reader has crashed, reload."
To get out of that screen requires my use of control, alt, delete and beginning the closing of the computer which I halt rather than going all the way through restart or actually turning off and then turning the computer back on.
This does NOT occur on any other website. One more thing, many websites have a request from Adobe to take some space on my computer and I ALWAYS deny the request...sometimes taking up to 10 denials before getting the request to go away.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
    Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter the name of the crashed application or process. For example, if Safari crashed, you would enter "Safari" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
☞ Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
    In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

  • Why is Adobe Reader crashing immediately on launch?

Everytime I open Adobe Reader XI, either straight from the application shortcut or by opening a PDF file, the program launches and then immediately crashes and indiates "not responding".
I have already checked for updates, unistalled the program and tried reinstalling two different versions of Adobe Reader, just to see if an older version works better.
I am operating Windows XP SP3 and Adobe Reader 11.0.03. Please help! Any further suggestions as to why this is happening or what I can do to fix it would be greatly appreciated!

    Some things you can try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html
If you cannot open Reader by itself (as you wrote), try disabling Protected Mode via the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script.

  • Why does Firefox 35.0.1 crash regularly on many sites that use javascript image rotation?

Since the latest update to version 35, many sites that use javascript to manipulate images tend to crash firefox and make either the guilty tab or all of firefox close suddenly. (Firefox on Debian 7 Wheezy Linux, all updates current). I use firefox daily for web development and this regression bug is VERY annoying for my workflow. I understand you cannot take every situation into account. I do not have the time to investigate what has made Firefox less stable. I really hope you can fix this performance problem. If I can do anything concrete to help besides jumping into the code, let me know.

  • Why does adobe reader crash when I activate "read out loud"

    OS: Vista 64 bit
    Reader versions: X and 9.4
When I attemp to activate the "read out loud" feature or set/change reading preferences, the program crashes and force closes.  I did not notice a problem until updating to the new X (10.0.1).  However, I never used the feature much.
I uninstalled X and downgraded to 9.4 only to find the same problem.  I have a laptop with Vista 32 bit and version 9.4 and the "read out loud" feature works on it.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Why does my itunes crash after start up with an "APPCRASH" error every time i open it?! I have been trying to fix this for weeks but all i can do it re-install it every other day which does nothing!

Why does my itunes crash after start up with an "APPCRASH" error every time i open it?! I have been trying to fix this for weeks but all i can do it re-install it every other day which does nothing! I am desperate to get access to my itunes to get music on my phone and all of this just makes me want me to sell my iphone since there is no other way to add music to my phone. If things go get sorted soon you can say goodbye to my support.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • Why does Adobe Reader 11.2.1 for Android keep crashing?

I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and have successfully been reading, highlighting and annotating my pdf course books for 6 months but the latest update keeps crashing. I have precious study time on my journey to work and have now lost over a week so am very unhappy. What is wrong with it? I have reinstalled about 4 times and no joy. it will display the bookmarked page but no others. I tried giving it time but it renders a max of 6 pages. I have redownloaded the book but same problem, and obviously that doesn't help as my notes are In the previous file. Suggestions,  or preferably a fix, urgently needed as I am now behind in my study with an exam looming!!

    Hello,
I will answer each of your points in order:
No, the issue is not related to Kitkat as I am not on that level of Android.
The path to my document is /storage/sdcard0/SD329/ebook_sd329_book3_e1i1_n9781780073378_l3.pdf.
No, this is happening with other pdfs. I have tried just one chapter and also a fresh download of the same book (it was downloaded from my university website). The smaller file is more successful, I could highlight and annotate the file, but when moving through the book by more than a page at a time, ie. Using the scroll bar, the pages then fail to display and are blank. This is more prominent on the larger file, the whole book. It's as though I am reading the document on a website and the whole book is being downloaded each time I move through.
It crashes when I move round the document. I would read one page then move to ther next which is blank, I could go back to the page I had just read and that's now blank.
I use the highlighting tool, underline and free text pen. They would be selected from the menu at the top of the screen.
Reader crashes when moving through the document. It is as though the whole documenf is downloaded each time a page is displayed which I would not expect to happen as the document is stored on my tablet. The display of the next page is often slower than the time it takes me to read the a page.
I can't email the file as it is too large.  I found this out when I tried to send it to my university computer helpdesk.
Asmi mentioned previously I have successfully read and annotated this file over the previous 6 weeks with none of these issues.  I was able to moce freely through the document, both by single pages and by the scroll bar or go to and had no delay I displaying the pages. The only change has been the upgrade.
    Thanks

I had a similar experience with mac e-mail where apparently someones ICLOUD id for their Iphone was created with an Alias I had @mac.com for years.  Originally thought the mail was phishing and deleted without opening - then received forwarded mail from the other persons non-apple account - so gave feedback through mail to apple and also sent an email to the other persons non-apple account from a non-apple account telling them I was getting their mail because it was my alias.
That person did get apple to untangle the accounts so I did have to reset my password once it was done.
So one option would be to contact apple support to get them to find out what is going on with your account.
E-mail contact of the other person was easy once I had a legit account to send to -- don't know how you would contact the other person in notes.

  • Why even unchecked my crash reports are sent? I have to manually edit the "application.ini" file at every update! This is unacceptable to the user's choice!

Check the SubmitCrashReport (DWORD) key in the registry and set the value to 0.

  • Why is Reader crashing on my iPad?

Every time I use reader, it crashes after being open for about two minutes. It seems to crash faster when I makes notes on the PDF Or zoom in/out to make notes. This is VERY annoying and I can't find a fix for this. I have tried backing up my iPad, delegating the app, and redownloading  the app and this didn't do anything. I seemed to notice this problem since the latest up date.

Whenever Reader crashes, it generates a crash log.   Because you said that Reader crashes every couple of minutes,  I believe that you have many crash logs generated and stored on your iPad.
Would you send a couple of newest crash logs and your PDF document to [email protected] as email attachments?  Please include the link to this forum post in your email for reference.
Here are the steps to retrieve crash logs from your iPad.
How to get crash logs from iPad/iPhone
Could you tell us exactly when Reader crashes?  After you add a sticky note?  After you zoom in/out?  Does the problem happen only with one particular PDF document or any PDF documents?
Using the crash logs and your PDF document, we should be able to determine the cause of the crash.  Thank you for your help!

  • Why can't I read PDF files with this browser?

It says "can't read PDF files with this browser running. Exit and try again."
I have Adobe 9.3.2 installed. It didn't give me this message with earlier versions of Adobe.
Is there a way to go BACKWARDS?
How do I save the PDF files so I can close them and view them without using the browser?
== I downloaded later versions of Adobe.

I have tried everything,Foxit and Foxit updates, Gone to Adobe......you think of it I have tried.

Download Internet Explorer 8 and use that

  • Why does my iphone 4 turn off by itself randomly? I have read many posts on this and there seems to be no solution other than replacing it.

It turns off randomly and sometimes when I try to turn it back on, it doesn't turn on right away. Sometimes it would take multiple tries before it actually turns back on. I have read many posts regarding this and there seems to be no solution. The bad thing about this also is that I don't have a warranty either.

Because there is a hardware problem.
Apple has an out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price which pays for an exchange at a discounted price off the full retail sales price, or if you qualify for upgrade pricing with your carrier you can purchase a 4S or iPhone 5 for about the same or not much more depending on storage capacity.

  • OS X began crashing regularly

Hi, I recently learned that I can post the panic.log here possibly to find some clues to what is going on to make the my OS crash regularly within the last 3 months; or ever since I installed Adobe CS3 Design Premium pack of new graphic softwares.
I pasted the whole log here, which started just right after I installed the new softwares. I could not find any previous log, probably because this never happened to me before during all the seven years I've had this computer. I didn't even know that it was possible for OS X to crash. Sometimes it crashed for no apparent reasons, but in most instances if not all I think either Photoshop or some other CS3 software or more than one were opened. A couple of months before this I did add a new hard drive that was fully compatible and nothing happened after that. Until the CS3 pack. I thank you, for any clues at all that you might think of.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates.
