Why is my serial number for iPhone 3GS not accepted with apple support?

I tried to register my iPhone 3GS serial number with apple support but could not. Why?

    Instead of posting your IMEI in a public forum, contact iTunes Customer Support.
    FYI, they do not want/need your IMEI number.

    What step should i take next.

    Where did you get the phone?
    That phone was replaced by Apple or an AASP and was not returned to Apple as it should have been, or it was stolen from Apple or somewhere in the supply chain.
    You can not get support from Apple for that phone.
    Return it to wherever you got it and get your money back.

    why does my iphone 3gs not sync with contacts?  In fact it loses contacts during syncing.
    In Itunes it is set to automatically sync to the laptop and in info sync contacts is checked and all contacts are checked.

    On my Mac Pro, contacts and Thunderbird contacts are synced.  I want my Iphone to sync with the Contacts on the Mac Pro.  Incidently I am not using Icloud.  Is that the problem?

    Point your web browser to adobe.com and sign in the user thes link https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html the should list your Adobe products.  You should see CS6 there clicking on the CS6 should retrieve and display your CS4 serial number. Make sure the is the number you are using when installing CS6.   If you have a subscription for Creative cloud you should also see that listed in your Adobe Products in that case use Photoshop CS6 menu Help>Activate use the same Adobe User id and Password that hast the subscription during the activation process. Not serial number is used for Creative Cloud software  your sign in should activate you products.

    I got LR3 with my Leica M9. Now I sold my M9 and I'm waiting for the next Leica M to arrive in the next few months. Since LR is more or less part of the Leica-Software, I sold it with it and for the time, while I waiting for the next M, I bought a new LR-License.
    Now I want to give the buyer of my camera the license number for the LR3, that came with the M9 and the LR4-update to it, so he can use it with the camera.
    My problem is now, that I can not unregister the license-number in my Adobe-account for the old LR. How do I do that? After unregistering I want to install my new LR, that just arrived today and register it, but I'm afraid, that I have two registered LR4 versions then and can't give the solde one to the buyer of the camera.

    I had Aperture 2.1.4 working regularly, off course with the relative original serial number.
    I downloaded the trial Aperture 3 and today I bought the the upgrade.
    After installing the upgrade I entered the upgrade serial number and asked me for the original serial number of the aperture2 and when I enter it correctly it sends me an Alert "serial number you entered is not valid". I am sure it is the correct number.

    I entered my Aperture 3 upgrade serial number when prompted
    Then I entered my previous Aperture version serial number
    (I am sure put in the correct number)
    But keeps telling me it is an invalid number.
