Why is my Starbucks Passbook card now showing my balance in US dollars?

About a week or two ago, my Starbucks Passbook card started to show my balance in US dollars (it's the exact Canadian dollar amount, but with "US" showing in front of the dollar sign)...as well, all balance update notifications are showing US dollars. I live in Canada, and have used the Starbucks Passbook card for close to 2 years...this has never happened before.
Last night I deleted my Starbuck Passbook card and then re-added it...when I went to bed it seemed to be working fine. However, this morning, it is back to showing my balance in US dollars.

The Starbucks app in Passbook is indeed a Starbucks product, so I'm a little puzzled by that. Unless you are seeing a similar issue with another app, or have your regional settings set to US, Starbucks would need to address the problem. I'd call back or use the link to the developer site posted in the app store. If you do not get an reasonable assistance, ask to move it up to the next level.
On the other hand, if the amount appears to be correct (i.e. it isn't actually converting to USD), it may be just a labeling issue and might not be worth your time to pursue beyond making sure the issue is reported (A review in the app store might push the issue a bit as well).

  • Formatting MicroSD card in Disk Utility-8GB card now showing as only 200MB!

    Hi Guys
    I want to give my sd card to a friend and so I tried to secure erase the data in disk utility and somehow managed to turn an 8gb card into a 200mb one while trying to format it to FAT format. This has happened to two 8gb cards from different manufacturers.
    I tried to delete the partition and reformat the card to no avail. Even tried the solution here with no luck -

    That's probably not the best partition scheme for a FAT volume format. In the Partition tab set "1 Partition", then click the "Options" button and select "Master Boot Record".

    Why are all my movies and tv shows from my library now on my ipad with the icloud icon?  I have turned off all icloud related services. I have never used it.  On top of that, my ipad now gets stuck on step 5 of the sync - waiting for changes to be applied and never finishes.

    Hi, go in Settings, under Videos turn off "Show all videos"  this will remove the purchased videos to be displayed in the Video app.  The same can be done with the music.
    As for Step 5, connect you iPad and on the summary Tab, uncheck
    "Sync only checked songs and videos".  Then wait, it takes a while but this made it work for me after many restore attempts.

    Check to see if you have contacts in your Contacts app. This is something that can happen sometimes, and is usually cured by resetting the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. No data will be lost.

    I don't think that debit cards are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined. You could try contacting iTunes support and see if they can help, but I don't think you will be able to use a debit card : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
    Are iTunes gift cards available in your country ? They are not available in all, and they are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue), but if there you could possibly use them as your payment method.

    After using Ps and Dw CS6 since the cloud was released these applications are now showing that I'm using the TRIAL VERSION and they expire in 4 days! Yes, my subscription is vaild. Yes, I am running a dual core Itel Processor with 6gb of ram and 1 tb of HD. No, I have not made any software changes or installations since it was last working at 2:24Pm this afternoon. No, I have not exceeded my license agreement. These programs are installed and activated only on my PC and my laptop. No, Adobe Application Manager does not show that I need an update to either program.
    Is Adobe mad that I posted critical reviews concerning the Creative Cloud and this is my punishment? I'm sorry Adobe. I promise I'll be good and be quite if I can please have back the software and service I've paid for, I promise.
    Seriously, I know I've seen simular questions like this asked before but did not follow the thread for the answer and looking through the forum discussion area I do not see a recent question or answer for this. Does anyone know why this happens and if Adobe has an answer, fix or work-a-round?

    @Venzg - Thanks I'll keep those steps in mind for next time. This moring everything is working fine. Sometime in the night the fairies must have come and fixed it or more likely a server re-booted somewhere in the vast internet. You know what I find odd though? Not that it happened, we live in an imperfect world and screws fall out, but that it showed trial versions.
    Before I downloaded and installed the "Cloud" and Adobe Application Manager I deactivated and uninstalled all previous version of Adobe software including the TRAIL VERSIONS. That the TRAIL VERSIONS were displayed along with the seemingly correct number of days left on the trial tells me that an Adobe deactivation and uninstall is not complete. Persistant files exist after the uninstall and in my case this could lead to problems.

    These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here. Have you checked the purchase history on your account (Store > View My Account on yoru computer's iTunes), and have you (or anyone who access to your devices) made in-app purchases in apps and/or have you taken out any subscriptions in apps ?   • Passbook won't show the barcodes on the new coupons I have added. Why is that?

    I added ShopWise onto my phone and I saw many coupons that were useful but upon adding them to my Passbook, I found no barcode to scan. I have checked most if not all the settings to see if I had not turned a setting on but I'm pretty sure I checked everything. Why won't my passbook show any barcodes?!

    If Passbook isn't showing a barcode, the pass likely doesn't have a barcode.  To be sure, you could try viewing the pass on a Mac or on another iPhone.  You should probably follow up with ShopWise.

  • Why does iCal now show just 2 lines of info?

    Since updating to Yosemite, my iCal sometimes shows only 2 lines of info even though there's space in the box for more lines. Here's examples:
    There's room for the rest of the phone number and more, but instead it gave me dot, dot, dot and nothing below. Sometimes expanding the time slot and then retracting it again resets it like this example:
    This time-slot box is even smaller than the one above, yet it currently shows 4 lines of type under the (unnecessary) time stamp. When I first typed it in, originally it just showed 2 lines, but then I grabbed the bottom arrow, pulled down till it was a much longer time slot, then slid back up till it was just 1 hour slot, and all 4 lines appeared. Tried the same thing with the top example, but the next line never appeared. Very wanky. Forces me to double click the event to see the full description in the editing pane, but there's no reason why 3 or 4 lines shouldn't show up in the main iCal display...there's plenty of room. What the?

    Go to Gmail (on the web) look in the folder named All Mail, they will be there, delete what you want.
