why is my video coming across to my pc upside down? I cant seem to flip it upright on my pc...thanks for any help

Hello toekneesee, try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Occasionally import video into PR and it turns upside down, bw. Don't know why.

Anyone know how to avoid this or fix it?

operating system is windows 7; no exotic codec. PR is latest, 2014
Creative Cloud. Display doesn't seem to matter. The way I work around
this is by pulling up previous PR projects that didn't have the problem,
and using them, rather than a new project. At the moment, I am creating
new projects without a problem. Earlier today the black and white with
inverted image was happening.

This happened when I watch the windows 7 preview tour
the screen suddenly flashed then it flickered and the video continues to play but inverted upside down, left to right. It looks like it is possessed with something evil.
help! what should I do?

Thanks Ian, but I never use ichat also i tried to browse those video with only the browsers are open upon after I restart to isolate the problem.
I remember, I have the same issue lat year but it only occur when I play REAL MEDIA files When I scan with techlool pro it shows my iMac have *video memory problem*, then I send the iMac to an Apple Distributor (YNZAL) since ynzal is not authorized to repair they forward my mac to an authorized service center.
They replaced the LCD (It also had some black spots) but didn't replace the board. I told them that tech tool pro is saying that my video ram have issues but they said APPLE does not honor TechTool results (although it came with AppleCare), They only honor the result coming from the Utility on the Mac installation disc which didn't saw any problem on my iMac. Since my screen was fixed and the video gargling only occur when watching RM files and random flash movies I take my iMac home.
Until recently the unside down video rendering happens more and more that I cannot watch flash videos on more and more sites.
My plan is to send my iMac to Apple again, this time to other service center..
Anyone here knows why apple does not honor Techtool pro results?

I somehow filmed a video upside down, is there a way to flip it?

I filmed a 16 minute video and somehow it was filmed upside down. So everytime I try to watch it on my iPad, it automatically flips over to being upside down. My son needs access to it. Is there a way to flip the video?

A video editing program will flip it. unfortunately I'm not familiar enough with App based ones to recommend one. You could play with some of the free ones to see if they will do it for you.

Imported video upside down

Tyring to encode mpg files as FLVs. When I import the mpgs,
they are upside down. Same problem with Flash CS3 and Flash
Encoder. The mpgs play fine in Windows Media Player and can be
converted by Windows Media Encoder without problem. Any ideas? The
files were created using Pinnacle Studio.

In addition to Sue's suggestions, you can use iMovie's built in Mirror video effect to turn your clips upside down or, in your case, right side up. Switch to Editing>Vide FX and select the Mirror effect. Now slide the Vertical slider all the way to the Bottom setting and move the Horizontal slider all the way to the Right. Matt_______

I mirror from my phone to the Apple TV. Still images and everything I do on the phone is mirrored on to the TV except when I want to show a YouTube video or any video and then the screen on the phone and the TV screen go black and the spinning beach ball appears. The videos open right up on the phone if I do not have mirroring on and going through the Apple TV. I just downloaded the latest update to the phone it did not fix the problem. Please help. After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps concerning device issues. You may want to consider a reset, then testing to see if the issue is resolved:

Large number macpros in the lab are on extented cables from monoprice none exhibit any problem. All are using 10.8.2 and upgraded from earlier versions. Their is no software bug.

It may (likely) be a video card issue. There is a "known issue" with certain iMacs made in a certain timeframe (2011-12 I think), and one of the telltale symptoms is vertical lines showing up on your display. Go to Apple's website (https://getsupport.apple.com/) to find out how to get support, then either call their service line (they usually pick right up) or take it into your nearest store's Genius Bar. They'll first check if your iMac's serial number is on the list of vulnerable machines, and then they'll have to do a diagnostic to prove that's the problem -- if your serial number's on the list and it fails the diagnostic, they'll replace the video card for free, even if you're not covered by AppleCare (and if you are, it's free regardless).
My iMac just had this problem, there were lines sometimes and just weird display issues other times. Eventually it just grayed out altogether and I couldn't use it. So it's likely your display problems will worsen if you don't get it looked at.
It took them about a week to ship the new video card over, install it, and return the iMac to me.

    •    Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
    •    Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
    •    Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.
Photostream when enabled will only add photos from the camera roll that were taken post photostream activation. (Photostream does not currently share video)

Why does my video fail to show all of my footage?

I rendered my video and it appeared to be fine until a couple of points in the video present a completely green screen instead of the actual video footage from project.

I was wondering if anybody could help me correct this?
I have tried rendering it again in a new composition but the same problem occurs.
I have produced several videos using this program and not had any issues until now.
The video that I imported into After Effects plays back without any evidence of the green blank so I don't think it's an issue with that file.
I did reproduce that file though and nothing changed.

I'm having a similar problem when importing an XDCAM EX1 movie file (exported from Final Cut) into CS5.
I may just export it to a different codec for the time being, but I worked with EX1 footage in CS4 without ever coming across this problem. Is there a specific update or codec that I need to download?

Why are certain videos that I have taken with my iPhone not supported by Aperture? That's weird. I expect that since both iPhone and Aperture are Apple products, file support should be seamless between the two.
Also, iPhone 4 does not appear as Camera Model in the metadata of the unsupported video file in Aperture . But other videos I have taken with the same iPhone 4 appear in Aperture and the Camera Model appears correctly. Why is that?

Have you done some cleaning and cleared caches on your Mac? Maybe the com.apple.xpchelper.cache file is missing. Check the folder /System/Library/Caches/

Why would my video clips be running too fast when played on the monitor panel?

I posted my problem earlier today, but re-reading it maybe I didn't explain myself well enough.
My main question is: "why would my video clips be running too fast when played on the monitor panel ?". This is occuring after I have selected my media from the Tasks Panel and placed them in correct order in the Timeline/Sceneline. I knew something was wrong when I could see that the clips were not indicating their right length when viewed in the (expanded) timeline. They were compressed into just a few seconds, whereas the clips should have been at least 5 minutes. I ran the clips in the monitor and sure enough they ran too fast, with a lot of jerking movements.
The 3 video clips I am trying to make into a HD PAL video were taken with my Nokia N8 mobile video camera. These are in mp4 format. Can this present a problem ? Note that when I play these individual HD clips on my computer in (Windows Media Player) they run fine.
After I placed the clips in my Project Panel (or before in the Organize Workspace), I have perforned no change or manipulation of the clips. They are in their original state.
Just too confirm that the clips did seem to be compressed, I burnt a DVD, the resultant video ran in a matter of seconds.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that is what the problem was.
Although the video camera on my Nokia N8, mobile was capturing at 25fps,
for some reason once transfered over to PrE9 (via file transfer), the clip was interpreted as 500fps. Once in Interpret Footage I was able to change the fps to 25.

Why are iCal alarms coming up with a black rectangle? I'm running 10.3.9 and iCal v. 1.5.2. This started after I did software updates this week.
iMac Mac OS X (10.3.9)

I solved it in my case by going to System Preferences>Internet & Network>QuickTime>Advanced, then clicking the checkbox to Enable Flash. I also had to quit and restart iCal.
I think the Quicktime715 update that recently came out had something to do with it.
It seems that the black box is supposed to be a movie of a vibrating alarm clock, and apparently that movie uses Flash.
I hope this fix works for you too.
