Everytime i hit button check for update there is an error message 'problem to download update'.

Why does my ZTE open c Firefox OS smart phone forget the wlan settings and does not ring the alarm?

Sometimes it is even enough to go outside to the waste bin to let my smartphone forget the settings for the wireless lan. When I return I have to enter the - not so short - code from my wlan router again. After that the internet connection is running as it should.
Additionally the alarm clock does not work, I can set alarms as I like, setting the volume to the max and activate also the vibration alarm but nothing happens when the preset time is arrived, even when the alarm clock is shown on the screen the whole time. Is my phone broken? Or is it a bug in my Firefox OS installation?
Where does Firefox OS store these values for wlan connection and alarm times? Is there an internal database that is maybe corrupted?

I'm unable to update Firefox. operation can't be completed because you don't have permission to access some of the items. I own the computer, why would I not have permission? This has happened other times and I don't know what it means.

I just wanted to update firefox and it won't let me. I drag the icon into applications, then a window ask me if I want to replace older version. I click yes and the window mentioned above appears. I purchased this computer new, I'm the only owner. Why would I not give myself permission to do something on my own computer.

If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Why does the "hooray you've just updated firefox tab open along with my home page tab everytime I sign into firefox since the update?

Since the last update, every time I sign onto firefox, I get two tabs that open. One is my home page the other tab is the hooray you've just updated firefox. How do I get rid of the tab from firefox telling me I've just updated?

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Nothing seems to work.
I could turn off the check for updates, but that seems to be an illogical solution to the problem. I'm hoping someone else has a better solution.

Why can't I open pdf files in firefox anymore?

When opening pdf files it will only go in a loop and won't stop making new tabs.
The only way to stop this is by clicking on the home button several times or close firefox

It depends. When a server says that a file is of the application/pdf content type, it should load in the built-in PDF viewer, or in the Adobe plugin. However, if the server says it is a different content type, even if it has a .pdf extension, directing Firefox to open it can lead to an infinite loop of more and more tabs or windows opening.
The typical strong medicine for this is to rename the settings file that associates the problem content type with Firefox. This also will delete any past associations created for different content types and revert to the default.
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
* File menu > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''mimeTypes.rdf''' to something like mimeTypes.old
Start Firefox back up again and you should get the standard behavior. This time, if Firefox doesn't know how to handle a PDF, please do not redirect it to open in Firefox. (If Firefox knows how to handle it, it won't pop the question in the first place.)

Why can't I open PDF files in Firefox?

I cannot get PDF files to open for viewing in Firefox. I am on Mac OS platform. This seems to be such an ongoing issue. I have followed the troubleshooting procedures to no avail. I like the look of Firefox better than Chrome, but I am switching over to Chrome because PDF's are so much easier to handle on Chrome, and I am sick of wasting time with this. Any last minute tips or advice?

Why won't Quicktime open my podcast in Firefox or Netscape?

I'm using Mac OS 10.6.8. I have problems updating to the latest version of Firefox. There's an error message which says that the system administrator has disabled it. When I update Firefox manually by going to the website, I get the same error message when I drag the Firefox icon to the Applications Folder after downloading. Do I need to make any changes to the system settings?
Is there a need for me to delete the old version of Firefox from the Applications Folder before manually downloading the latest version?
While using the old version of Firefox, I encounter intermittent web pages with missing text. What is the issue here?
