Why is netrestore not working on 10.6

Question

Hello everyone, I"m new to imaging macs and need to image 70 of them. So i got on our snow leopard server and used system image utility to gather the "master" image of a configured mac as a "netinstall". I then used server admin to enable the netboot service and the afp service i also did choose the default image within the netboot service. It looks like it's all ready to go, but when i go to boot our macs and hold down the "n" key i only get a picture of a globe flashing? if i hold down the option + N key then i get the server disk with the servers ip address under it, I then go to choose that disk w/ip address and then get the apple logo with a globe under it the globe then changes to the "loading" (grey not colored wheel) the client machine then shuts down?? I'm thinking some service on the server is not running that should be running?

Sounds like 2 distinct problems.
1) Not finding the NetRestore image
2) Failing to boot from it
For 1:
Do you see the image in Startup Disk (on a client)?
If so, can you select it and boot into it (i.e. until it shuts down)?
For 2:
This most likely means your image is bad, or you're trying to boot unsupported machines. Booting the client in verbose mode might give additional information.
Assuming this is a 10.6 image, for it to be valid you would have to start with (some version of) 10.6.x and upgrade it to 10.6.8 *using the COMBO updater*
