Why is "Remember Passwords" option grayed out?

I am using FireFox V6.02 on Windows XP.
Permanent Private Browsing is disabled.
Also, Automatic check for updates is also grayed out. Not sure if this is related in any way?

Sounds that some prefs are locked.
Do you see any locked prefs on the about:config page if you click the Status header to sort by status?
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I am running iPhoto 9.5.1 on Mavericks. When I select a photo and try to share it the share menu has email and all the social meida options grayed out. Checking accounts in iPhoto my email accounts are there. I tried deleting and reinserting the one I want to use and restarting iPhoto, but it is still grayed out.

You need to update yoru profile - it says OS X 10.6.8
In the iPhoto preferences select an email client (I personally prefer Mail) and if you are using iphoto enter your email information in teh accounts tab (If you use Mail it will use yuro existing sset up)
Same for social media - enter your account information in the accounts tab

Apple ID password option grayed out

I want to uncheck the option "Allow user to reset password using Apple ID" on the Users & Groups screen in System Preferences.
I did an on-line chat and was told I should be able to do this. They had me do a safe boot, then the command-R sequence and reset the ACLs on my home folder, which didn't work. Anyone else had issues with this option being grayed out?

Why is the "Custom" option grayed out in the Image Trace drop down menu?

I'm going crazy here. On two different versions of Illustrator (CS6 on Windows 7 and CC on Windows 8.1) I'm trying to customize the options on an image trace from the drop down menu. On both versions I can't click Custon and when I tried to use the presets it just completes the action and doesn't allow for tweaks.
I've used three different file formats (PNG, JPEG, TIFF) and tried embedding and copying and pasting with no luck. In past versions this was never a problem. What is going on here?

Just select the Image trace panel from the window menu and then customize it.

Sip dialer port export option grayed out in configuration manager ucce 10

I am configuring the outbound option for ucce 10, when i configure the sip dialer port (dialer conifguration) in conifiguration manager, i just added 5 ports, i can see this ports showing in dialer process on the PG, but i need to export this ports to Unified communication manager, i could not able to export it because this option grayed out (i did select all, or individual selection both are having export option grayed out)
Any idea?

Exporting port configuration is only allowed for SCCP, in SIP Dialer Deployment its actually not needed and that why its grayed out.

in Sip Dialer you don't need to create any Port For Dialer under CUCM. its only required in SCCP.
Sip Dialer port Directly registers with VG.

This has to do with remembering password option. I think my wife checked of "Never for This Site" by mistake, for her yahoo mail login.
Is there a way to fix this? Note, I know that it works because I've been getting the remember this password option when I enter a fresh yahoo mail id. We just don't get that option when she enters her yahoo mail id.

No, this did not solve my problem.
I know this because I can activate remember my password for a different Yahoo Mail Id. So, the remember password process works for one Yahoo Mail Id, but not for my wife's.
I did this by deleting (using delete key) one of my Yahoo Ids from the autofill display of it, then by signing onto Yahoo Mail with that Id, and I got the message with the key icon on the left "Do you want Firefox to remember the password for "xxxxxx" on yahoo.com" with the three options to the right:
Remember, Never for This Site and Not Now.
So, my cookies, history settings are fine. (By the way, I don't see Cookies when I go to Privacy...my Firefox doesn't show this).
I can't think of any other reason why she doesn't get the reminder message, other than she initially selected Never for This Site, by mistake after she signed in for the first time.
I think one possible solution is to remove Firefox and then reinstall it. I'm thinking that this will clear all autofill settings, including the setting of my wife's Yahoo Id which must be "Never for This Site."
But isn't there another way to reverse that setting? To undo the "Never for This Site" setting, so that the reminder message appears after signing into Yahoo Mail?

There is no "Remember Password" option when logging into iTunes

Everytime I open iTunes (Windows) I have to log in. This isnt a big deal, its more of an annoyance. I do not see the "Remember Password" option that used to be there, has this option been removed?
Ive tried several solutions posted on the forums but none of them work, (ie. clear cache, reset settings, reinstall..yada yada yada)

I'm on a PC. Maybe that makes a difference. And I went directly to apple.com; I did not launch the store from Itunes -- so perhaps that's the difference.

I did as you suggested:
1) Booted from install CD.
2) Ran Disk Utilities on internal hard drive--no repairs necessary. For good measure, did the same thing on external drive. Also no repairs necessary.
3) Checked software update--no updates found. About this Mac said I was already running 10.4.7. For good measure, I downloaded the latest and installed it. Since it let me run the install, I'm not sure if I installed something new or reinstalled what I already had.
4) I rebooted from CD, ran disk utilities, ran repair disk--no repairs necessary. Repaired permissions and a lot of permissions repaired.
5) Tried to delete the files and the same old thing happened: kernel panic. The specific message:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00102A08): jnl: transaction too big (1587712 >= 1572352 bytes, bufsize 8192, tr 0x29f1fb0 bp 0x2801de40)
So there's no change in my status.
I'm trying to delete the files because:
A) They already take .5 Gb.
B) I can't get rid of them ever. If I move the problem files to a different folder, I can only do one successful drag-and-drop backup to the external drive until the "new" thumb segments become unerasable just like the previous versions and crash the system.
C) I can't even "just" drag and drop every file/folder except the thumbs, because that ends up crashing the system as well. So I have to drag and drop every file/folder in the iPhoto hierarchy individually. Which makes me less inclined to backup, which defeats the purpose of a backup.
D) After the iPhoto fiasco I'm just crabby about all the Apple screw-ups I'm experiencing and I want to get them fixed.

So the menu bar reads iChat, File, Edit, View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
There is no Buddy List open.
There is no other window for iChat open.
In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
Is an item ticked in the list ?
Is this a green (Available item) or Red ( an Away one) ?
Can you access the Accounts option ? (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
Is anything in here ticked ?
In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
Type in:-
~/Library/Preferences
Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.

If you're in the Users pane of the server app, and you select Network Users from the drop-down near the top, there's a small padlock icon at the bottom. Is it locked or open? If locked, click it and enter credentials into the authorisation box that opens
