Why is safari 5.1.2 not showing up in software updates?

I am running Lion server and the Safari 5.1.2 update isn't there.
Any ideas?

Thanks Wardy22, that indeed did it.  Annoying that it's a bit obscure but it works.
CAVEAT EMPTOR:
I host updates for Lion and SnowLeopard on the same box.  I see that there are 2 Safari v5.1.2 updates.  One is 47MB (Product ID:041-2852) and the other is 38.3MB (Product ID:041-3552).  I little digging in the sucatalog file shows that 2852 is for SnowLeopard and 3552 is for Lion.  If you've got a mixed environment, you've got a problem!
It seems silly but if this is supposed to be an update server, why should I have to choose a version of Safari?  Shouldn't ALL updates be available?  I'm just saying...

i have a HP HP Deskjet D4260 attached to my macs, but the 1.1.1. update doesn't show up in software update. (as 1.1 did)
    i read here

  • 11.0.3 update not showing up in software update.

I am currently running itunes 11.0.2 on OS X 10.8.3.  Checking for an upate for itunes from within the app indicates an update is available.  Choosing to download it brings up the app store.  App store checks and retruns that no updates are available.  Any ideas?  I guess I could go ahead and download the install image for 11.0.3.  Just curious why it isn't showing up.
    thanks.

  • ITunes 9.1.1 does not show up in Software Update

I am aware that iTunes 9.1.1 is availible for download at Apple's website, however for some strange reason iTunes always alerts me to upgrade to 9.1.1 but when I open Software Update it says that "Software Update doesn’t have any new software for your computer at this time." I am currently running iTunes 8.2.1 if that helps any, and I would just like to know why the newest version does not show up in my Software Update and if there is anything that can be done to fix this.

    download 9.1.1 from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.

  • Safari 3.2.1 not coming up on Software Update

I see that there is an update for Safari. My Mac Pro is running 3.0.4, and when I check software update it says all my software is up to date. What's wrong here?
    Thanks, Katie

I followed your instructions, downloaded the Combo Update (after repairing permissions), and Safari 3.1.2 came along with it. I have no idea why it didn't download when I first installed 10.5.5. I've been having trouble with my Time Machine external hard drive locking up, so maybe this will fix it, because the last time my iPhone went weird, it was Safari related. How's that for a leap of faith?
Question about disk permissions: in the listing of the various disks, there are two for each -- one seems to have a serial number and includes the choice to partition, and the other is indented right below it. I've always wondered, when repairing or verifying permissions, which to use?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Update 10.9.1 not showing up in 'software update'

    Late 2013 MBA
    fully updated on 10.9
    keynote, pages, numbers updated also
all firmwares and camera raw updates complete
basically it is fully update BUT is not offering 10.9.1 at all
I tried to push each of the offered versions of 10.9.1 to the machine via task server also but the machine wont take any of them
so that plus the fact that the update to 10.9.1 is not even offered to me in software update is very confusing
does any one have any advise for me?

  • Ipods not showing up after software update

Since updating to itunes 8.0.2.20, I cannot access my ipods. I have three. When I plug them into my desktop machine (XP home), I hear the sound that indicates a new USB device, and the ipods will show that they're connected and charging.
But: they don't show up in itunes, so I cannot add or delete anything to them.
    Please advise.

  • App store not showing up in software update..  Any work around for this?

When I run software update it runs and then says that all software is up to date. I don't have an option to install the app store.. Is there any other way to install it?

I totally understand the confusion. That's how I ended up here on the discussion. I am running 10.6.5, so according to Apple's instructions below, this should have worked. Apparently, they need to correct their instructions. Here's what the App Store page says about installing it:
The Mac App Store is available as a free software update for Mac computers running Mac OS X v10.6 or later. If you have an earlier version of Mac OS X, you will need to upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
    1. Update your software.
Click the Apple icon, then choose Software Update. A dialog will appear on your desktop. Click the Install button in the dialog to begin the installation. You will be instructed to restart your Mac to complete the process.
    Thanks for clearing it up.

  • 10.5.7 doesn't show up in Software Update

    I have a new 20" iMac running 10.5.6.
The new update, 10.5.7, does not show up in Software Update, which I have been manually checking every day for the last week.
I went into the Genius Bar and no one could figure out why this was happening.

    Follow my upgrade tips first*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/upgradefaq.html
It sounds to me something is either unhealthy about your machine, or you are using tools which are incompatible with Software Update.

This could be a plist corruption problem, but I'm not sure.
Sometimes, the preference list files get corrupted. You can usually just remove them and they'll get re-created. This may require you to reset certain settings. A notable exception to this is the Mail plist which actually stores the Library structure of your email accounts. Deleting the Mail plist will definitely cause lots of problems, but is recoverable.
The plist files are stored in the /Users/username/Library/Preferences/ folder. They usually have the naming convention of com.company.programname.plist.
A simple troubleshooting technique is to move a suspect plist file out of the Preferences folder and start up the app, again. It will re-create the plist from scratch.
In your case, I would try the com.apple.dock.plist. You can use Activity Monitor to kill the Dock app and it will restart. Or, you can log out and log back in.
There is a new file with Leopard called com.apple.dock.db. I haven't figured out what it does, but you might try moving it out. If anything gets worse, you can move the old file back in replacing the newly created one.
This all sound somewhat odd, so I don't know if this will help.
